Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas Reviews List
Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
Welcome to Crossroads at the House of Blues Located on the world renowned Las Vegas Strip inside Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. Come in and enjoy a southern inspired menu with a twist created by Food Network Star Aaron Sanchez. Enjoy signature dishes such as shrimp & grits, short rib meatball sliders and fire-grilled… flatbreads plus some new twists on House of Blues favorites like jambalaya, slow-smoked pulled pork, signature burgers, salads and steaks. It's food that's bold and classic yet contemporary. Open nightly for dinner, Crossroads at House of Blues is truly the place where food, music & art intersect!
"The menu was fine the way it was. The new chef doesn't seem to understand southern food and it's connecftion with the blues. Catfish should be fried, not seared in tomato sauce. Where are the pork chops? Who wants jalapenos in corn bread? Not me. The ribs were good but the menu turned me off forever. I don't mind spending $112 for dinner for 4 if there's music but there was none, when there had been all the times we went in the past."

Review 2 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"Ended up that we did not dine here, bit did go for drinks. We actually hung out there twice during our visit. great nightly blues bands...did not disappoint. The servers were never to be found and we had to get our own drinks and then even search out to pay our bill! Wanted an appetizer at one point, but with no waiter, we finally gave up. Don't go expecting great service, bit take time to enjoy the music."

Review 3 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"With the glut of "gourmet" hamburger joints everywhere, it was disappointing for both our hamburgers at the HOB to be mediocre. They pack the meat too hard so you get this thick but juiceless and tasteless piece of meat. Then my medium rare was cooked past medium and wifw's medium was medium rare. Add-ons were great however and made the burgers edible. Since we were going to the Santana concert there, we had a $10 off coupon that came printed out with our emailed tickets and waitress saw it on the table near the end of meal, scooped it up and it was presumed the ticket would reflect this discount--but not so. I didn't notice it because, frankly, $45 for burgers and Cokes didn't shock me being in Vegas but my wife did."

"I would not return here. The food was just ok, the restaurant area was poorly laid out and felt like we were eating in 2 star cafe. The waiter was overworked and a s a result our service suffered."

Review 6 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"My friend and I had breakfast at Crossroads on our last morning in Las Vegas. The waiter warned me that the pancakes were large and attempted to demonstrate exactly how large, and his demonstration led me to believe that one pancake would not be enough although three would probably be too many. The pancake was ENORMOUS. One would have been more than enough. It was, however, delicious and even though I didn't come close to finishing my food, I was happy with the food and the service."

Review 8 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"Saturday night on a holiday weekend - in Vegas - got a great reservation (OpenTable), then followed by great food, service and family. Menu was affordable - you'll pay more for less in other places in Vegas - but it was great food! Try the BBQ chicken flatbread, their drink specials are great and we had the best service…they go out of their way to make you happy."

"The food and drinks are great and the wait staff is friendly. But the most amazing part is their Friday night karaoke with a live band! We had an awesome time!"

Review 13 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"Our waiter, James, was spot on, give that guy a raise! Also, one of the managers gave my parents a tour of the stage area, awesome since they're big Santana fans. The Lobster Mac n' Cheese is epic, try'in to figure out how to make that myself. The only complaint came from my wife, shockingly.... The salad leaves were whole and needed to be cut. I don't eat salad, so rock on!"

"The food here was excellent and the service was great. Actually, everything was great, except that the music was not quite what I expected, and didn't quite fit with the otherwise satisfactory environment. For the first part of the evening, a Ray Charles impersonator sang dispassionately at a keyboard on stage, and the latter half of our visit seemed to be filled by easy listening over the speaker system. At any rate, those thinking of trying House of Blues Las Vegas should think about trying either the street style tacos or Jambalaya. Both are excellent."

Review 17 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"Food and service was GREAT! Just a note, when a band is playing it's impossible to hear one another. So, if you're wanting conversation, it's not the best place. However, the music was great. Good menu, I would describe it as comfort food. I had meatloaf and it was fantastic...shrimp and grits were amazing! Two in our party had burgers (one the Lucy Goosy - or something like that) and both were delicious. Our server, Jasmine, was outstanding. Very friendly and attentive, always made sure we had full drinks!"

"The food was good. I would say it was differant . Not a bad thing but you need to be open minded. For Example we had the jalapeno cornbread and it was fantastic yet the bacon wrapped meatloaf not so much."

Review 19 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"House of Blues was a place my wife and I wanted to try for a long time. Being located in Mandalay Bay was nice, since we hadn't been there yet either. After eating here, this place is once and done. The food was about as good as an Applebee's (sorry Aaron Sanchez, but it is), and double the price. The price didn't bother me as much since we were in Madalay, but the service was not good. We may have gotten the lone server who didn't want to be there, but he was less than inviting, and seemed like we were inconveniencing him the entire time. I tried the ribs and my wife the shrimp po-boy, which was more bread than sandwhich. Unless your plan is see a show at the house of blues this might be a decent stop, but with lackluster food."

Review 20 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Las Vegas
"The music was very loud, I lost my voice by the end of dinner trying to have a conversation with my group of four. The food was sub par and over priced. I ordered the meat loaf (20+), very soggy and lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes had a glossy sheen similar to elmer's glue and their texture and taste followed suit. Everyone else at my table had similar comments about their meal. Except for the salad, the salad was good.
The service was proactive and helpful, but they pushed drinks hard. At the time I figured, it's Vegas lets get crazy, but now I realize it was probably to mask the meal."

"First time at this restaurant and a House of blues, Not impressed! Food was average at best and server had an attitude at first. If I had a choice between House of Blues or an Apple be I would choose the Apple be."
