Luca's Ristorante
A refreshing departure from the ordinary; Luca’s Ristorante Flemington is inventive and original, all-the-while authentic regional Italian gastronomy. It’s Chef Luca DiMeglio’s personification of the soul of Ischia (Italy’s famous island wonderland, located off the coast of Naples) right here in the heart of suburban Flemington. Maintaining with the philosophies that make Italian food such a delight, Chef Luca believes in crafting every element of the dish by hand. Against the beautiful backdrop that is Luca’s dining room, you will begin your dining experience with a basket of assorted artisan breads, followed by one of his homemade pastas, famous hand-cut gnocchi (nonna’s original recipe), or from a selection of one of the evening’s enchanting specials. The final touch; one of Chef Luca’s select desserts accompanied by the perfect cup of locally micro-roasted espresso or cappuccino. Benvenuti e Buon Appetito!

"We were a large group, some meals were delicious, but others said it was average with no seasoning, such as the ribeye. Same with appetizers and desserts. The pork shank was amazing. The gelato was disappointing, texture was icy instead of creamy. But the grain pie and coffee flan were delicious."

"Mother's Day. Made an early reservation - 5pm. Arrived early. Weren't seated until 5:15pm despite only 7 tables seated. Didn't see a waiter until 5:30. Eventually, we were able to place our orders and didn't see the appetizers arrive until 6pm. Our children's food arrived 10-15mins after that. Our two dinners didn't arrive until 6:50pm - that's almost 2 hours. Additionally, felt a little deceived as I thought the Prosecco was going to be gratis as on Open Table their note for Mother's Day reservations said (and I'm copying this): "Make your reservations for Mothers-Day soon, we will reserve you a bottle of Prosecco and have it set up and ready for you special day". Not gratis. Will give it one more try as the food was very good."

"Though not surprised on our second visit, which was equally good with the first, we are still surprised to find such an excellent restaurant in our local neighborhood-the food is great and well proportioned; the service very friendly and helpful."

"My wife and I met up with a couple of friends here for dinner. We had no expectations considering its located in a very unconvincing strip mall. However, our friends had a very high opinion of this restaurant. We consider ourselves somewhat of foodies so when i hear these things I just kind of ignore it, Id rather make an opinion for myself. I'm not going to go in great detail, but WOW. The food amazing, the service was fast our server Jason was very attentive and was willing to accommodate our needs, my wife is a vegetarian. To top off the night we had a delicious bottle of petit verdot and an indulging homemade Easter pie. All in all an incredible night out with friends, maybe I will listen to them next time, we will dine again."

"We were in a new area passing by and selected Luca's on Open Table. What a treat! The restaurant was lovely inside (in a shopping strip mall), with hanging plants, stone floors, wood tables...nice ambiance. The service was excellent and very attentive...and the pasta was homemade and delicious. They serve wine by the bottle or half bottle. I am sure this is a busy place for the neigborhood people. We were there at an odd time..about 4pm, but we were impressed by the good food and service. We would return when in the area the next time."
