"the crepes we had were good, much bigger than what i was expecting. the main course menu items were ho-hum at best. not horrible but not any more exciting than what i make at home on a regular basis.
the waiter (who is also the key wine guy) was quite knowledgeable and excited about the wines they had available. unfortunately they are in transition with their wine selection and did not have a printed list to give us. instead he just brought a handful of bottles out and described them to us. i suggested he get a cart so he could present them like other restaurants present desserts or dim-sum. rumor is that the "transition of the wine selection" has been going on for awhile."

"We sat outside under a covered area and enjoyed the lovely weather. The brunch was delightful and the service was good. We found the service to be more like Europe as they did not rush us and allowed us to enjoy sitting without feeling like we were being pushed out the door. We will go back when we have a chance."

"We ate Mother's Day Brunch at Sale-Sucre. They were slammed that day and nervous about being able to handle it. They did a fine job and the food was very good. The prices are quite high. We will be back, but for special occasions."

"Service was bad from the beginning, no one to greet us at the door, we had to walk past the bar to the back. Table was not set, we had to ask for silverware & bread plate. Drinks were mixed up, coke/Dr.Pepper, my daughter had a Spite that they refilled with water, food took very long, it was not that busy. The table next to us, were seated after us, & got their bread & food before we did. I had mother's day brunch menu, escargot was sandy & gritty, risotto was too salty & undercooked, & desert was inconsistent. We ordered two of the strawberry/wafer/whip cream deserts, one had preserve glaze on it, the other did not. We had considered coming back on regular day for brunch & bottomless mimosas, but it isn't worth the horrific service."

"Went for lunch with a group of friends and had a great experience! Neat atmosphere & menu is different from most places. Food and service are very good. A little hard to find but worth it. Parking for restaurant is across the street and a little hard to spot."

"Our server was friendly and had great recommendations. My reservation for for 8, but one couple did not show up and he couldn't have been nicer. The food was very good. I like the small menu, but it is a bit repetitious. For example, the same salad is on the appetizers and as a stand alone salad (but bigger). The crepes are lovely."

"Visited here soon after they opened and left feeling that this restaurant was going to have a hard time making it. At that visit the food was good, but limited and the service was not good. Today's visit was totally different. The menus looks full and contain great brunch, lunch and dinner options. The food for brunch today was superb and the service was top notch. I think that they have figured it out. I will be visiting here soon again and hopefully often."

"Excellent food - we had the crepes. Excellent service - very friendly and attentive waiter. Could have a.civilized conversation and still be heard. We'll be back."

"There aren't any other places in the nearby area that offer such nuanced French bistro fare. This lack of competition is both a blessing and a curse, translating into generally higher prices than one would normally expect to pay for the inconsistent quality and simple menu.
Overall barely O.K. Surprisingly expensive for bistro fare with slow but well-intentioned service and dishes of inconsistent quality. Has the potential to evolve but would not visit again anytime soon.. Only the test of time will tell if Salé Sucré will survive long enough to realize its full potential. I hope so."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our food at Sale-Sucre, however on a Thursday night they had a very good combo playing and this venue is WAY too small for that much music. The music was very good, and you had to scream to be heard over it. So, if you are looking for a good place, with good food to listen to music, this is it. If you want to connect with your mate or friends, bring some throat medication, because you will need it at the end of the evening."

"Reservations at 8:15 on Valentine's Day. Arrived at 8:10. No host or hostess, no place to check in. We finally flagged down the owners wife, and she told us to sit at the bar and wait. We sat at the bar for two hours! They finally seated us at 10:00. Food didn't arrive until 10:35. Waitstaff was overwhelmed, and the kitchen was clearly a disaster. Gordon Ramsey needs to pay them a visit. The only high point was the food--when it did finally arrive, it was pretty good. Will try them again once to see if service is any better on a regular weeknight, but they didn't make a good first impression."
