"Found this restaurant on Open Table and too my mom there for Mother's Day brunch. It happened to also be my father's birthday. The brunch had everything we could have wanted (Dim Sum, Sushi, Stir Fry, crab legs and soups and desserts. This was our first time, so ednn't really know what is on the menu, bu I'm sure it is fantastic!
Also everything was claen, well set up and the staff was courteous and atttntave."

"The service here is poor. The servers do not understand the menu well and are not able to articulate the ingredients in the dishes. Ordered the Pad Thai, it came without sprouts. When I asked for sprouts, the kitchen did not have any and did not inform the servers that they ran out. I sent the dish back and rerquested something else. The manager came over to apologize and offered us free dessert. We took him up on it and ordered two desserts only to find they had been added to our bill. Also, when I ordered a second glass of wine, it was directly into my existing glass. No fresh glass was offered. Unacceptable service considering the restaraunt is marketing itself as an upscale establishment. We will not return."

"This is just a great Italian restaurant, everything you never knew you always wanted. Even lived up to our Italian exchange students expectations. Truly a gem, nothing pretentious, just capable and excellent food not found in other Italian restaurants served by a pleasant friendly competent staff. They are on top of their game in every way. Not a bargain priced place but extrememly reasonable for the food served. Of note was the wine list. So many places gouge you on wine by the glass; not here."

"We had the duck and Kamikaze roll. Both were very delicious, particularly the duck which had been marinating for 4 days. Generous portions, perfect crisp of the skin, extremely flavorful. Our waitress was engaging and patient because it took us awhile to decide from the many items on the menu. When we asked for more side cucumbers and sauce and wrap to finish the rest if the duck, they were very accommodating. Both what seemed to be the manager and owner stopped by at the end to say hello and were very friendly. I would definitely come back again to try their other dishes."

"Simply extraordinary! This is by far the best dining experience we have had in Charlotte in 6 years. I cannot emphasize how much we enjoyed every aspect of our meal. The place is beautiful, the service, impeccable and most importantly the food was outstanding. We had the shrimp dumplings which were heavenly (and even better than the ones I have had in NYC), the walnut shrimp and the 7-flavor beef. The strawberry lemondrop martinis were also scrumptious. We cannot wait to return!"

"And we left impressed. My wife was first taken by the atmosphere and decor, which was top notch. We started with the lettuce wraps with chicken, which were very good. Our entrees were the Chilean Seabass and the Korean Short Ribs. Both were marked as restaurant specialties and did not disappoint. Both were cooked perfectly. Portion size was good and proportionate with the price. The short ribs were large enough to share. We did not try a dessert this time, so cannot comment on those. We really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to our next time there."

"We dined at AZN for the first time on Friday, February 15th, 2013. The restaurant is the most high design Asian Fusion restaurant in Charlotte. High celings, large circular bar, two story windows and a mezzanine area for private parties overlooking the main dining area.
The food was wonderful too... We started with the Spring Rolls. Two pieces cut on the diagonal with two delicious dipping sauces. We then shared the chicken curry dish and the house fried rice. Both very good!. We will definitely return."

"The ceviche was good but expensive at like $19. We got one of the specialty rolls which was oversauced...drowned out the fish...and was expensive at $18. We sat at the bar. One bartender was nice, the other could care less. The ambience was so-so. Not a lot of activity at 7:30 on a Friday. The piano was loud in the bar area. But we liked the overall look and feel of the restaurant itself. I would give it another shot for that reason alone."

"The first thing that impressed me was the decor; modern, Asian, beautifully and tastefully done. The service was friendly and the server was very knowledgeable. "AZN is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. The food is fantastic and the restaurant has a great feel to it.
Last night was Chinese New Year and all I can say is "Wow!" AZN really went all out. The culture was celebrated authentically and with a flair that made for a wonderful dining experience. The handmade noodle show was unlike anything I had ever seen; how did he turn that big ball of dough into hundreds of tiny strands of noodles that quickly? The whole restaurant was in awe. There was a traditional Chinese Lion Dance that came through at about 7pm. Everyone was on their feet cheering and taking photos. Chinese New Year might just be my new favorite holiday too. Save the date for next year - can't miss event!"

"While the service at the restaurant was consistently good, the same thing can't be said for the food. The calamari in tempura was basically tasteless--a huge glob of fried batter with a little white ring in the middle. The calamari was tender but neither it or the batter had any flavor at all. On the other hand, the sea bass was outstanding. Very well cooked with a little sauce. Highly recommended it. My companion had short ribs which were also quite good. Perhaps the calamari was an anomoly."

"The spicy calamari wasn't really spicy. The breading was really too thick and overpowered the taste of the calamari. The mains were all very good. Salmon, duck, short ribs, and oscar snapper were very tasty and the portions generous."
