"The food was outstanding, the atmosphere is great. Unfortunately, not the service. We had to wait for 1 hour for main course, which might be understandable. But to wait for 30 min. for desert, which is already cooked just had to be served. Not very good experience with our server. But we will defenately come back, because of the food and ambience."

"Nice Ambiance, Friendly staff. Honestly though worst buffet set up I've ever seen - esp. for Mother's Day. Bagels/toast 2" from desserts. NO labels to I.D. food. No idea if bowl was cream cheese or whipped cream. Omelet stations situated AFTER hot lunch food so line was severely backed up. Those behind me were squished/ irritated trying to cut in line for hot food bc they didn't want eggs but still forced to wait on extremely LONG line in tight space. I' m 8mo. pregnant & waited online 20 mins bc of back log. Staff should have staggered tables. I went back for dessert but none of staff could tell me what each dessert was, I received "I think it's" answers whereupon another food server would disagree. For a 4 Star venue it was abominable."

"This restaurant is very over-priced. Prices would be high for a New York City restaurant with finer food and service and décor; certainly way out of line for a Port Jefferson restaurant. It advertises a view overlooking the harbor; mostly, it overlooks a parking lot. Over-done, schmaltzy interior."

"I am a local, and this restaurant is a must try for locals and visitors to the village alike. The food was exquisite, and the service was friendly and attentive. The decor is tasteful and serene; the view of the harbor is breathtaking from the second story dining room. The choices for Spring Restaurant week 2013 were delicious! "Probably the nicest restaurant in the area, definitely in Port Jefferson. Absolutely no complaints. Its a beautiful, comfortable restaurant with a fantastic view overlooking Port Jeff. Honestly, I loved it. Very clean and a nice staff. Spent 2 hours and it flew by. I thoroughly enjoyed it."

"I was excited to come for restaurant wk (7:30 reservation), but was extremely disappointed. I requested a table overlooking the harbor, however the images on the website were very misleading. The view was of the parking lot, not of the water. My boyfriend and I ordered off the 3 course menu, and when I ordered the pork chop, I was told they ran out, but would substitute it with the Short Ribs Barolo. My boyfriend ordered the skirt steak, and after a few minutes, the waiter returned to inform him that they ran out of that as well. We were not offered a second choice, there was only 1 substitution for the 2 meals not available. The meal did not come out as described on the menu (plain piece of meat, no demi-glace). Would Not Recommend."

"We arrived for dinner at 6pm . We were seated and ordered dinner right away . The appetizers came quickly .
There was a long wait . At 7pm , I asked for our dinners. They were brought right out but they were both cold . They obviously were cooked and were waiting to be served . The meat that we ate was tough , the potatoes and vegetables and meat were all cold . I complained and the manager offered to make us new meals . We already waited an hour and we left.
The restaurant was beautiful but the reason you choose a restaurant is the food and service .
Graceful Rose is a 5 star restaurant with 1 star food and service"

"I was looking for a romantic spot to take my fiance for our engagement anniversary and I spent about 3 weeks to find this place. It opened recently and thata why I had not found it earlier when reading reviews ans searching for a good long island restaurant. I got a little lost and called to say I would be late. She gave me directions and said its no problem. I was late because the address on thier website was a little off. Instead of west broadway use north broadway and it will take you right there. When we got there I was impressed that it was right on the water and the parking was great. The watress, food, and room were amazing. The manager even asked us what we thought. I would recommend this place to everyone, infact I already have."

"Overall an outstanding dining experience. The moment we walked in we were welcomed by a smiling hostess and a very personable manager. The experience continued with a wait staff that was on point the entire evening. And the food was stellar. Most notable appetizers were the shrimp/mushroom dumplings and the carpaccio special. The entrees did not miss a beat either with a veal rib chop that was stuffed with prosciutto, broccoli rabe and fresh mozzarella in a marsala mushroom sauce as well as a (special that evening) branzino - as our waiter explained, a mediterranean seabass - that was delectable. The evening concluded with offerings from a dessert tray that made it difficult to resist...dulce de leche was the winner as is Graceful Rose."

"when you first walk in its obvious that they are looking to be an upscale restaurant...the place is beautiful, with great views of the long island sound....when we arrived they had a singer in the lounge area and i asked what time he was playing til....i was told 9pm so we asked if we could have a table in the lounge as opposed to the dining room...no problem, and we were promptly seated around 730ish...singer stopped and left around 8:15....first dissapointment.second the staff trying to give good service became almost overbearing at times, and three different waite people were constantly all over us...the food was average, but expensive and i found it odd that the bread which i had to ask for came in a tiny little plate all three pieces."

"This was our first time here, and everything was outstanding from beginning to end. The bar area is seperated from the dining area reducing the amount of noise (which is further reduced due to acoustic sound baffles tasefully integrated into the ceiling). We were given a table by the window, which afforded a nice view of the harbor. The cocktails were perfectly mixed, the food was absolutely delicious (the Thai calamari and Caesar salad for openers, with Louisana sole and Chilean Sea Bass as main courses, complemented with vegetables and risotto), delicious deserts and very attentive service. Excellent!"

"Reserved a table at The Graceful Rose for Valentines dinner. We were seated immediately at a table near the window with a view of Port Jeff harbor. Our server was very good, attentive and well schooled on the menu selections. My only disappointment was the truncated Valentines Day Menu (omitting many of the dishes I was eying on the website menu). Each course was well presented and prepared, everything was delicious. Shrimp and Mushroom Dumplings are spectacular. The wine list is on the expensive side, with more $100+ selections than less. I would highly recommend the Graceful Rose for special occasions and romantic dinners."
