"We had 7:00 reservations, arrived at 6:55, and were seated immediately on a very busy Saturday night. The place was running very efficiently, like a well-oiled machine. The chef was polite and professional, and the food was very good. Our server was outstanding - very attentive and observant. He brought what we needed before we even asked for it. We have always had a good experience at Shinto, and it remains one of our favorite restaurants."

"We usually enjoy taking our kids here, since they enjoy the hibachi. However, our chef this time did fewer "tricks" than our last visit. Our boys noticed, especially when other chefs around us did other "tricks" that our chef did not (i.e. fake ketchup bottle, toss food into diner's mouth, squirt lemonade into diner's mouth, etc). He only did the onion volcano. Also, the host who seated us asked if we were celebrating anything special, so I told her whose birthday it was. They did not provide a special dessert like they normally do. I guess I should have told our server. We ordered a sashimi and sushi appetizer, but it was odd that they did not even provide wasabi, ginger and a soy sauce dish. Everything else was okay."

"I have heard about Shintos for well over a year, but hadn't had the chance to go. My wife's birthday was coming up and she enjoys sushi, I enjoy Hibachi... It seemed like a good fit.
I had a terrific experience from beginning to end with this restaurant. I called to make a reservation and the representative that answered was courteous and helpful as I had never been here before. Once we arrived we found it to be a clean and fun place to go. Our server was outstanding and perfectly balanced the line between being helpful and attentive.
