"We go to Katz more often than we should. With dinner appetizers and drinks, you spend more than $100 per person. At prices like these you expect perfection. I haven't been to Katz one time where they get our order right. Some days you go and order a filet medium rare and they bring it medium (like this occasion) but you can't plan for overlooking because next time the cook will undercook it. The waiter whose name starts with a D was not very attentive. He came to our table only when we would flag him down and it wasn't a very busy night. In my opinion, 20 minutes after having you salad plates cleared is too long before your dinner arrives. When they get it right, the food is great, I'm just starting to wonder if they can ever get it right."

"I took my wife to Katz on 5/30/2013 for our birthday. We had a wonderful dinner with great food and wine. What made the dinner exceptional was the attention of the waiter. Albert was not only attentive and personable, he also took the time to help us with wine and food suggestions and choices. We will definitely return to Katz and when we do, will ask to be seated in Albert's section."

"Great service and atmosphere. Did not care for the marinade with the crab on the Katz Meow appetizer, Spinach salad was suppose to have a warm dressing but came out cold but we were quickly served a side of warm bacon dressing on request I would suggest serving a side of warm dressing on a routine basis. Crème brulee did not taste like the glaze was fresh. In some of the upscale restaurants where I have been the glaze and top portion of the pudding has still been warm when served and others have actually fired the glaze at the table. This tasted like it was made up ahead of time and stuck in the fridge. Steak filet seemed a bit dry cooked medium, prime rib looked wonderful but was slightly tough. Bread great"

"Everyone made our Anniversary dinner so very nice from the ordering flowers to be delivered, the staff at Katz 21 made sure they were fresh and set out on our table upon arrival, to our waiter who was very attentive to us and gave us plenty of tips and time to enjoy or meal. We will come back again."

"I have had much better dining experiences. The atmosphere is good. The noise level was a bit higher than I would expect from a upscale restaurant. The dress was to be business casual which, here in Texas, seems to mean just about anything goes. The food was visually appealing yet lacked true flavor. The water was straight from the tap and left an after taste that overwhelmed what little flavor the food did have. The waiter was a bit of a neat freak. We found this cute at first but, as the evening wore on, it made me feel like I was being served by Mr. Monk. Personally I would not bother to go there again but, as this is Corpus Christi, our options for fine dining are extremely limited."

"We were disappointed in the brunch served for Mother's Day. My husband and son said there was nothing served that day that would make them want to go back in the buffet line. I agreed. The dessert assortment was extremely disappointing, not what you would expect for $50 a person. Our bill was $203 for 3 people and we all wished we would have gone somewhere else."

"I have been to all of the fine dining locations in Corpus Christi .Kats was by far the best dining experience I have had in this town and I have been here for 35 years. The service was great ,Oscar our waiter was at the top of his service game ,the food was also superb. My steak melted in my mouth and my wife is still talking about her veal .... we will def have our anniversary dinner there in June and will be requesting Oscar as our waiter."

"This is the 4th time dining there and I love your food. However, I have yet to see a single manager come to my table and say hello. This would be a nice touch and make it more personal.
The server was strange and made my entire table feel uncomfortable. He interrupted our conversation several times and was very awkward, to say the least.
Great job with the bar service and your lounge server Rebecca was outstanding! The beverage service was strong with our drinks never empty. Your DRAs do very well. The food it quality, but it takes way to long to find its way to the table, with over 45 minutes between salads and entrees. This has been the same experience every time I have dined with you.
I will return and would love to see a man"

"It was good, but not great. I had the 24 oz bone in ribeye and it just wasn't that special. It was a nice cut and was cooked as ordered, but just didn't have much flavor. The whole point of a bone in ribeye is flavor. On the other hand my wife's filet mignon was very good."

"This place is very nice. Great food and great service. The only problem I have was a couple of kids that were running around and yelling. The parents or grandparents never told the childern to behave. The staff knew that most people were annoyed but did nothing. This place is to pricey to have kids act this way. My sons never acted this way. If I wanted to hear screaming kids and see them run around, I would just eat at McDonalds."

"My wife and I visited the new Katz 21 location for our wedding anniversary. The staff was courteous and helpful, but the food left much to be desired. We ordered their blackened tuna and new york strip. The steak was awful. It wasn't tender or top grade cut. It's a good thing they give you a huge knife to cut it with...because it's a chore.
We were disappointed. Definitely not the quality of food you expect for the price."

"We loved the atmosphere - beautiful, quiet and top-notch service. Steaks were awesome and side dishes were great. Although service was top-notch, seemed too scripted. No personality, strickly by the script. Upon making reservations, website stated meals averaged $31 to $50 per person. We all felt, based on an average meal one would expect at a restaurant, this is understated. Too pricey to visit often but would highly recommend for special occasions."

"This was our first time at Katz 21 and our first date night away from the kids in two years. We made reservations but still had to wait an additional 15 minutes. The room was quite cold, I believe it was due to the front doors being open and then creating a draft at our table, which was in the back corner near the exit. Our waiter was very polite; however, either he or the kitchen staff made several errors in our order. The food took entirely too long, 3 hrs in total. This is unacceptable especially with no appetizer or dessert. The food itself was honestly average at best. The garlic mash didn't have any garlic flavor, the asparagus had no seasoning, and the prime rib had no flavor and more fatty than normal."
