Colonel Blackinton Inn - Attleboro
Join us for dinner at the Colonel Blackinton Inn. Our charming dining rooms are open seven days a week in Attleboro, MA serving Lunch and Dinner. Brunch is served on Sunday. We use only the freshest seafood and prime cuts of Black Angus beef. In addition to our regular menu, we offer Daily Specials. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the Inn also features a 32 Oz. Prime Rib and whole Lobsters prepared in a variety of ways. **During the spring and summer months, there will be outdoor dining on our sunny terrace.
The inn offers two private dining areas- each have a private bathroom and gas fireplace. The Carriage House accommodating functions of 20-55 guests. The small private dining room can accommodates 13 -20 guests. We also have an option of renting our entire facility for 100 people-including the main restaurant, Carriage House & Patio. We could accommodate up to 100 guests.

"If you are looking for quiet intimate dining, this is the place. The service is excellent without being stuffy. He food is excellent as well. The only reason I don't go more often is the prices. Although they are not outrageous, I could not afford more than special occasions. Overall my favorite place."

"We dined at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary, and had a wonderful experience. Service was very attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent! The swordfish/shrimp special was simply outstanding, as was the sirloin. The dinner menu, especially when combined with the daily specials, has a lot to offer and deciding was difficult.
For that 'special' occasion, this is definitely a place to go."

"We were passing through the area and, thanks to the Open Table iPhone app, found this gem. What a delightful dinner! Well prepared swordfish, a delicious perfectly cooked steak and no drama when we asked for a bit of dietary tweaking. This place is pure New England, with small cozy (but not crowded) dining rooms and soft lighting. Fairly busy for later (8P) on a Thursday night, a testimony to the establishment. Highly recommend."

"We have been dining at The Blackinton Inn for years. When it was sold a number of years ago, we were very leary of what it would be like with we owners. We were very disappointed our first visit and did not return for quite some time. We took a chance three years ago and tried it again and were very pleasantly surprised. Since then, The Colonel Blackinton Inn has become our restaurant for special occasions, and the restaurant to go to relax and enjoy wonderful food and service."

"Our first time there and we will definitely be back. The jazz duet were fabulous. Service was excellent. The variety of food on the brunch buffet was impressive and of very high quality. The ambience was quaint and charming, without being stuffy. We met another couple there whom we see on our Caribbean travels and were able to spend a relaxing 2.5 hours with them without being rushed. Overall remarkable experience."

"My absolute favorite restaurant. Favorite dish is the Blackinton Filet. Not on the menu regularly. Filet Minon topped with carmelized onions, balsamic reduction and gorganzola cheese...to die for....

THe chowders had very little clams and my pork chops were a very thin cut and tasteless. The potatoes and vegetables could have been from a cafeteria. "The Prix-Fixe menu on Monday - Thursday from 4-5:30 can't be beat for what is included at such a reasonable price, and the quality of the food is very good... Wine or beer is included and there are several choices of wine listed on the menu and the waiter offers many choices of beer... Each dinner guest gets his/her own appetizer... There are several basic choices and additional options at a few extra dollars... The same for the entrees... Dessert is included and I never look beyond the creme brulee... Love it! Coffee or tea also come with the dinner... And if that isn't enough, the atmosphere is intimate with several smaller dining rooms... It feels very special, but you don't need to wait for a special occasion..."

Unfortunately, we arrived just as the little combo's music was over, at the tail end of Sunday brunch. Eggs Benedict on Croisant and steak tips with scrambled eggs and a nice wine from Willamette Valley, OR made for a very nice interlude on a wintery Sunday afternoon."

"My husband and I have been to the Colonel Blackinton Inn several times. The food is always fabulous and I love their house Italian/Vinegarette salad dressing. This past visit we had an excellent waiter, full of energy and knowledge who really livened up the usually quiet atmosphere. We look forward to having him serve our table again."

especially the server Bernard/Bernie....super super special, would not want to lose this very special talent, great memory of all specials and how they are made as well as the kindest of service, Atmosphere was just as expected, warm & inviting.

"Classic antique Inn. Nicely furnished and decorated. Small rooms make the dining experience seem intimate but still a little noise. Not much to muffle the sounds of other table conversations. This is fine if you like that, not for me. Very attentive wait staff, great menu options and the waiter was able to explain everything. The varied menu was sure to please everyone's taste. This is one of the reasons we chose this restaurant. the meal was cooked and served timely but not rushed. In fact the waiter did not deliver the check until he was completely sure we were completely finished. That was a welcomed and unusual touch. Usually the bill is delivered with a "any time you are ready, no rush"."
