"It was opening day for Larios. Food was good and plentiful. A little disorganized and service was not consistent. Typical of opening day. I must say they try to make up for it . Only disappointment was their inability to make a Piña Colada?!"

"The service was good (as far as our waiter). The quality of the food was good for cuban cuisine. The mojitos we ordered tasted good as far as a sweet drink is concerned but $12.00 each therr was no alcohol in them. The one horrible n terrible appetizer we had that perersonally i will never order again and that was excessively bathed in oil besides only being 3 pieced for $9 (which i dont think was worth its value) was the stuffed fried plantains. Please take that off your menu. Location is great, music, atmosphere and spaciousness is great. Thank you."

"Unbelievable ... walking down Ocean the day before my reservation and couldn't find the restaurant. After walking back up the street, noticed where the restaurant should be is now replaced with paper in the windows saying restaurant is being "renovated". Didn't call to inform us or any other communication, noticed other people decked out for the night walking up to the same spot and taking pictures of where they should have been eating for the night.
Call the # and it transfers you to Bongos in Miami, not Miami Beach, and they have no idea, just that the restaurant is being "renovated" and no reservations carry over to this sister restaurant over in Miami."

"Lario's hit a home run! Our experience was perfect from beginning to end. We started at the bar with a great bartender and great drinks. We were seated where we requested and had a wonderful dinner. This being our first time for Cuban food we relied on our waiter for suggestions and be was spot on. The location on Ocean was perfect for people watching! We had a great time and recommend Lario's with enthusiasm!"

"The Pollo Asado (Bongos Famous Roasted Chicken)was outstanding. The meat fell off the bone and you'll find your self temped to slurp the sauce off the plate.
We ate inside which was we thought would be quieter than outside, yet it was loud do to a food tour which was being conducted at the time we ate.
They make an excellent classic Mojito. The black beans were authentically delicious."

"Food is amazing, as is the ambiance. However, we had poor service. We ate around 10pm and our waiter was an elderly gentleman who seemed eager to leave. He rushed our ordering process and meal. The table next to us arrived at 10:40pm and he blatantly told them they couldn't order something because the kitchen was about to close. I was under the impression that as long as you arrive before the restaurant closes its doors, you can order anything off the menu."

"It was a good restaurant, not great. I enjoyed my meal of Bongos Famous Masitas de Puerco. They were small pork bites, very well made. My partner got the Roasted Pork Loin which he found very dry and tough.

"We had very good service. The drinks from the bar were great. But some of the food just missed the mark. The red snapper was way over fried. The yuca needed some Cuban love. I guess this is what to expect on Ocean Drive because of the tourist crowd. They are not that worried about repeat business."

"Normally I like Larios but we did not have the best time. We recommended this restaurant as the best cuban food in town to friends from New Jersey who were visiting Miami. While the online appoinement made seating relative easy the order we placed was only right for 4 of the 8 who were sitting on our table and when replacements meals were brought out (after 20 mminutes)the pork chops were dry and my wife's steak was more bloody red then well done (which she prefers). The waiter and manger took care to see if we were okay but the meal was not the best for a special night out on the town with friends and family. Lastly when I went home I noticed that I was overcharged one meal that I didn't even order (to the manager's credit it was fixed"

"Gloria Estefan's restaurant could be a high-priced, snobby upscale eatery but it wasn't. It has old world charm, but the excitement of eating in Cuba, from the music playing, to the graciousness of the wait staff. Our waitress recommended several appetizers and main dishes and all were amazing, starting with the ropa vieja, a plaintain cup stuffed with shredded beef and the cerviche, an amazing dish and both healthy portions. The cuban style skirt steak was perfectly prepared, huge and with an amazing flavor. The roasted chicken half was amazing, paired with plaintains so sweet and nice. An excellent investment in a great, unrushed meal on a Friday night."

"I made reservations at Lario's on the Beach after scouring Yelp reviews for a great place in South Beach to have Valentine's dinner with my boyfriend. Since I was traveling from out of town and was not used to the traffic, before we were late, I called the restaurant and they were very accommodating. When we arrived, they seated us at a small table towards the back of the restaurant, which unfortunately did not leave a lot of room for the wait staff to move around us. Luckily, this was the only problem with our meal. They offered a special for Valentine's day which included a salad, wine/champagne, appetizer, entree, and dessert for only $35. The portions were great as was the food. Plus they gave me a rose and there was a live band."

"This is my 4th visit to Lario's and my first valentine's dinner. The set menu options were excellent and a good value, especially the appetisers. I loved my entree, but my valentine was not crazy about hers. We normally order off the regular dinner menu and there are a lot more options and we know our favorites. "Larios is nice place. We went on a friday, I had a reservation but I still had to wait about 30 mins; which I didn't like. This a Cuban restaurant and the decorations are very nice, I love how they have typical Cuban paintings around. They also a band playing which was also very nice. I was little disappointed about the lighting, it was pretty dark I had to use my camera flashlight to look at the menu. As for the food it was good. I'm Cuban and I tend not to eat at Cuban restaurants because I feel like no restaurant I've ever visited (That's including Bongos) ever makes good typical Cuban good, and Larios was excellent! I would definitely go back but not on a weekend, maybe for lunch not dinner. (Too packed too loud)"

"This place has a great vibe and epitomizes the South Beach experience. If you are a people watcher, get an outside table and watch the world go by. The menu is extensive and our selections were great. The server was attentive and the overall experience was wonderful. My wife and I will definitely return when we're back in the area."

"Based on the hype, I was pretty excited to go but disappointed when I got there. Ordered the shrimp criolla which was boring and bland. We ordered the bread budding and guava shells which were terrible and had to be sent back.
The worst part was the waiter. Although he seemed nice, he was so anxious to get us out and turnover the table that he forgot our appetizers, didn't check on us or offer refills."

"We wanted a restaurant that was nice, yet casual, and one that really captured the spirit of Miami Beach without being cheesy. This restaurant was a winner. We made a reservation for 8:15 on Saturday, showed up and were seated promptly. The dining room was about half-full, and we worried. By 8:45 the room was hopping! Our server recommended a few things and I let him pick for me - all fabulous choices! So, I ended up with a simple roasted pork with onions, with black beans and rice and plantains on the side. It was amazing... So simple, but tender and perfectly flavored. My husband had the skirt steak with chimichurri-- also perfect! Highly recommended place. Great experience."

"Food was prepared so quickly that we were suspicious as to how fresh it was. Unfortunately, the food tasted as though very little care was taken. When I pointed out that the quality of my entree was poor (bland, unseasoned chicken, dry and chewy covered with soggy onions devoid of flavor), our server accused me of not liking cuban food and telling me that this was the best chicken dish they restaurant made, implying that I was the problem. The other food was okay at best, and very pricey. The location and outdoor seating were lovely complements to low-grade food. One entree, one side and one cocktail (split between two people) came out to $45, which is only appropriate when quality of the food matches the splendor of the surroundings."
