Roche Harbor’s McMillin's Restaurant is located in the historic home of John S. McMillin built in 1886. In 1956, the late Reuben J. Tarte and his son, Neil, purchased Roche Harbor. By 1958, the Tarte family had restored many historic sites, including the restaurant, which was once the home of John S. McMillin. Additional seating in the restaurant was added in 1964, and the gazebo and deck were completed in 1977. On March 15, 1989, the Tarte family sold the resort to the current owners.
For over 40 years, the tradition of excellence has continued at Roche Harbor, the landmark boating and leisure destination resort that exists today. The restaurant remains a favorite for those who trek by land and sea to enjoy a truly unique dining experience on the very northwest tip of the Pacific Northwest.
"We were seated by the window by a member of the waitstaff who greeted us as if we were old friends, even though it was our first visit. Our table over-looked the beautiful marina at Roche Harbor resort. We ordered a four course option and another entree with the intention of sharing the "taste," appetizer and salad. From the pea & bacon souffle, crab and artichoke dip and Maytag blue cheese salad, to our sumptuous seafood entrees (Seafood Saute and Crab-stuffed Halibut), everything was delightful! There was no issue with us sharing the "extra" courses - our waiter even teased us a little! Unfortunately, we were both too full for dessert! Because people often come from their boats, there isn't a dress code."

"It was a lovely experience all around. The food was very special. An overall beautiful experience for our birthday girl and Campfire Girl reunion last night on the island."

"Very good food with a pleasant view in a quaint location. Facing into the setting sun it got quite warm! (They are working on replacing their awnings.)"

"Great place, beautiful view with great food. The service is spot on with a small exception which I won't dwell on! We will definitely come back again."
