"I was in NYC with my wife for the week end, so we decided to go and eat at a Korean grill. We couldn't get a table at Takashi so we decided to settle for Kang Suh, because it had a good rating. We showed up at 7h30 in time for our reservation we made on open table couple days before. 8h15 came, the manager had given a table to every asian person that walked in after we did, I asked her if this was normal. She seated us right away after that. The food came quickly and the waitress was nice. She showed us how they eat the grilled meat in the lettuce, sauces and condiments. DON'T go there for the wine list, it features "white wine" and "red wine". bottom line the food is tasty, the price is fair, prepare to wait unless you are asian"

"All in all, this visit was a disappointment! Previous visits were in company with a Korean American, who was able to guide us in ordering, cooking, and enjoying our lunches. The most recent visit, with my son, paled in comparison with the earlier visits. The problem was the service: it was amateur at best. The waiter couldn't explain the dishes very well, did not pay attention once food had been served, and was too introverted to be helpful. Other wait staff did help after being asked more than once, and one female waitress appeared annoyed with our relative infamiliarity with Korean dining practices - we had one of the barbeque specials which we were obviously not attending to properly."

"I haven't been there in years and clearly its gone downhill. There was simply nothing redeeming about the place. The food was tasteless, we were rushed and the grill at our table didn't even work. Never again."

"Kang Suh is a terrific place to discover Korean cuisine! The menu is bilingual; an excellent sign of the food quality is the many Koreans who frequent the establishment. If it is good and authentic cultural cuisine, their own people will support it. It is a warm, welcoming environment. There were 2 issues to note: (1) the spicy sauce is in a ketchup bottle & is shared among the tables. Every table should have a small jar of sauce (germs). (2) Offering parking validation, but didn't note it's limited availability. When I asked, it was sold out, so I paid full price for parking. Otherwise - go eat & enjoy :)"
