His team sought to create a dining experience offering innovative, yet familiar dishes alongside a creative bar program. Situated at the gateway of Larimer Square, Tom's Urban 24 is an experience unlike any other – 24 hours a day. "We were very impressed with the delicious food at Tom's, as well as the fast, friendly and upbeat service-Matt was very attentive, and the manager even came over for a chat.The spinach saled and Cobb(24) were excellent, and my friend enjoyed her lobster pot pie with a nice fluffy puffed topping "en croute".
All of the desserts were delicious-blueberry crumble, chocolate flourless cake, cherry pop-tart, and yummy vanilla bean ice-cream. They were very generous with their coffee refills.
We will recommend it highly to our friends, and definitely return in the very near future! (Despite past lukewarm reviews)"

"I took my mom here for Mother's Day and it was wonderful! I had always walked by this place and wondered what it was, so we decided to walk in around 9:30am. There was no wait and we were greeted by a group of smiling young ladies. The food was a little pricey for what it was, but it was delicious nonetheless! It's menu had everything from vegan options for my mom to large breakfast burritos for my brother, and the egg's benedict was sublime. Two thumbs up."

"...sitting on Tom's patio, sipping a mimosa, and sharing a 'pop tart' with my breakfast companions. The server is doing everything right and then some, so we just relax and enjoy ourselves. We take a few of her menu suggestions and were happy with our choices. The omelets are big and fluffy, the breakfast burrito focused on great ingredients instead of gargantuan size, and the carniitas in the cowboy egg bake was the best we've had."

"i expected a bit more. I had the duck pizza off of the server's reco and it was nothing special. Menu is overly broad, even for a diner, although it's weird there is not a bigger/better dessert menu. brussel sprouts were very tasty."

"We were a party of 7, two of which with hearing difficulties. Had we known how loud it would be, we never would have chosen the restaurant. We were seated upstairs, which was not even half full, and it was impossible to hear each other talk.
The food was great--the cherry poptart was very yummy and I loved the green chili carnitas mac and cheese. I don't think I'll go back though because of the noise."

"We were looking for a place to catch a casual dinner before the Chris Hardwick show at the Comedy Works. Tom's Urban 24 was perfect. You couldn't ask for a better location as it is right next door. But more importantly the food was great and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We'll definitely do it again!"

"The food was exceptional for what is billed a "diner." The service was great with the exception of very slow on drink orders. Even though there were 3 bartenders behind the bar, it took way to long to get our first drink order, and again for our 2nd drink order. We were nearly done with our meal by the time our 2nd round was delivered. The place is fun and relaxing with good food, so just be sure to order your drinks as soon as you arrive."

"Tom's Urban 24 has a great concept: interesting food available 24 hours in the heart of downtown. We went for Sunday brunch, thereby minimizing one of its inherent drawbacks--finding parking. The food was good, and Tom's Pop-Tarts are great ... the choices that day were cherry and fig-goat cheese (both were yummy). They do go with the trendy decor that maximizes sound level, which is very common but not optimal for our group. The waitstaff was great. They don't serve some of the breakfast items (including the Pop-Tarts) during the dinner time, 4-10 pm ... so I'll probably try to do other times so I have that option!"

"The food and drinks at Tom's were fantastic even if the service was a little slow and incorrect. That being said, our waiter recognized the error and gave us a free appetizer without us even bring it up--a real champ. The drinks were all delicious and fairly priced given the area. Also, the Brussel sprouts were great (coming from three people who don't love Brussel sprouts)."

"I was very eagerly looking forward to my experience at Tom's Urban 24. I booked an OpenTable res for my family visiting from out of town, and we headed there at 7:00 last Friday.
My takeaway is that the servers there, though quite abundant in number and good looks, need a remedial serving lesson. Our server was kind, if vacuous, but she disappeared at length and was never the one to bring us our drinks or food. We waited 35 mins for our mediocre drinks. It is also a huge pet peeve of mine to be cleaning up the table from course 1 as course 2 is being placed on the table. This is what we pay servers for."

"I would recommend this restaurant for casual dining, however, we were celebrating my husband's birthday and it was a little too casual for an important event. Service was okay, food was okay...it was okay. I wish I had done a bit more research; no fault of the restaurant, but it is a bit too "diner"ish for a special occasion."

"I ate at Toms while visiting Denver at a conference. I was hoping to just get a nice bowl of pho on a cold and snowy day. Unfortunately the pho had some spice in it that did not jibe with the Asian flavors. I think they should stick to a traditional Vietnamese recipe. Sometimes it seems the chef is trying too hard. I did go back for breakfast though and had a really good bowl of bruleed oatmeal which I would recommend. The coffee was not so good."

"Everything was fantastic save for one notable exception. The urban Mary and the jade Mary were not nearly the crafted 'bloody mary' I expected. While the taste was on par with others I have had across the country, the drinkability was lacking. The jade Mary uses a tomatilla purée that leaves small seeds in the bottom of the glass that continually were getting stuck in my teeth, straw, etc. Other than that tho The food is fantastic and I will be back to work my way through the menu. I had the angus meat loaf and can't wait to come back for the 'chicken & waffles'. Also, my wife is a classically trained chef and she absolutely loved the pho."

"Gotta laugh at those who came to Tom's during Restaurant Week. What were you expecting? This place provides a fun venue to have pre- or post-theatre dinner -- or a late night bite. There are some different and delicious menu options (buffalo duck wings and Korean BBQ sandwich come to mind), but it doesn't pretend to be the most exquisite meal in town. It is a vibrant scene with food that's really quite good. And many times, that's good enough. I'll go back in a heartbeat."

"I was a little disappointed on this trip. When we walked in, there was a strong smell of mildew that all 6 people in the party recognized right away. I ordered the Urban Slopper. The green chili was good but the burger seemed way overcooked. I ordered it medium and there wasn't a sign of pink anywhere on it. It tasted like charred meat, to me. No one at the table really seemed to go crazy about the food. Maybe our expectations were too high."

"I would have to say that I enjoyed Tom's Urban 24, but wasn't overly impressed. I thought that the service was good and knowledgeable about the menu and answered questions quickly and thoroughly. However, I wasn't impressed by the quality of the food or the prices. The side salad was mediocre at best with just leaf lettuce and a few diced tomatoes. Additionally, the sandwiches were small and not worth the price. However, they did still taste good. There is no issue on quality of food whatsoever. I would probably come back for late night food, but with the location I can probably guarantee that it is usually packed, which is great for you, but just not my scene. Thanks for the opportunity and if the occasion arises I will be back."
