"Enjoyable dining experience. All courses very tasty - large shrimp cocktails, tenderloin cooked as requested and flavorful, delicious sides, and creamy cheesecake (with extra cherries!). Good wine list. Wait staff very pleasant and efficient, but we were not rushed. Thought we would travel to Mequon to try the Joey's. We've been to Greendale three times - each time with some error in our order or slip in service. The last time Joey's in Greendale did take care of the dessert bill to compensate for the mishaps."

"This was our third visit to Joey Girard's and again, we were very happy with the experience. Mr. Bartolotta has succeeded in bringing back the 60's supper club feel with the relish dish and several lazy susan options. The menu is somewhat limited but has offerings in all categories. This visit, I chose the chicken and rib combo (1/2 rack of ribs and 1/2 broasted chicken) and ended up taking half of my plate home. The ribs, while not the fall-off-the-bone kind that I prefer, were done just right and the sauce was delicious--not too tangy or spicy, but very tasty. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the skin was not too thick, which sometimes can happen when broasted. Service is exceptional. We will return again and again."

"Usually restaurants on mother's day are busy, crowded and have poor service and mediocre food. Joey Gerards was booked appropriately, no crowding of tables. The food choices were incredible, and the meals done very well, pretty plates and tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.
Would definately go again! Would like to try it on a regular night.
Open table is wonderful, not only is the ease of booking fantastic, but you have a copy of your reservation in hand. Easy, quick and reliable. They also called us days before to confirm the reservation."

"The service was excellant. The menu was very limited for Mother's Day and the portions were very small. If you serve small portions at least make the plates look attractive by putting sides next to the main items. I do not mind paying more for a meal but make me believe I received the value that I paid for in a meal. I did not feel that way after leaving the restaurant. I felt the meals were selected based on what would make the most money for the restaurant."

"Unfortunately, our experience at JG was not up to the Bartolotta standards of service. From the moment we arrived we were excited. The space in Mequon is beautiful. Great atmosphere for dining. However, it quickly turned sour which was unfortunate because this was our wedding anniversary dinner. A number of things went wrong as it went wrong our servers became more and more scarce. It started with my knife landing on the floor. The waitress picked it up, after I told her, but she failed to bring me a new one. Then they delivered our drinks to the wrong table and to top it off, they brought me the wrong steak. Off the tracks. I have a hard time recommending. Perhaps because its a relatively new location, I guess."

"We've been to the the Joey Gerrard's quite a few times since their opening last year. This was the first time that my steak was prepared perfectly and it was served hot! I ordered the Steak Diane medium and it came out perfect...just pink in the inside. The mustard sauce was excellent as well. We'll be back soon!"

"I'm shocked that a highend restaurant will serve water that does not taste good. I do not mind drinking well or city water, but when it does not taste good you should serve something bottled. We started with the chopped salad but eventhough there was a lot of veggies, beans, eggs the overall taste was bland. Maggiano's is much better. My husband ordered the Steak Diane. I wanted too, but I do not like a lot of pepper so I chickened out. This was a great dish! The steak was tender and the sauce neither too peppery nor mustardy. My Top Sirloin was not as tender and was a little disappointing, but the cauliflower and breadcrumbs was delish.
I'm sure I will go back--knowing that somethings are a hit or miss."

"My wife and I love the Bartolotta restaurants. In fact we ate at two other Bartolotta establishments last week. Joey Gerards unfortunately is the weak link. Joey's was a very poor supper club experience. Skimpy relish tray and bread basket, overly salted food, my wife had a sandwich and the bun was burned, and she could not eat her french onion soup. She thought the soup would be the same as Lake Park Bistros, but it was not. It is troubling that we are not the only couple that has had a poor experience at Joeys (Mequon), in fact, based on the people I talk to, I would say that its reputation is very poor and probably affecting its business."

"An amazing meal. Our servers Maggie and Courtney were professional, pacing the meal perfect, even offering wine pairings, which we didn't choose - opted for cocktails instead. The menu offerings were extensive. We had the Raw Beef and onions for our appetizer. The beef was by far the sweetest I've ever had. My husband ordered the Prime Rib which he stated it was the best he's ever eaten. My bone in filet was charred perfectly, with a medium rare center. Again, one of the best steaks I've had as well. Two days after our meal, we were still discussing how fantastic the whole experience was.
Definitely will return."

"Service and food was great.
The only negative came in the water served. Our understanding is that it is well water. Perhaps that could have been announced before we got the water. It smelled really funky.
We then got bottled water, and really enjoyed our meal."

"We went to Joey Gerard's to celebrate my son's 12th birthday. The waitress was great at helping all three of my kids to feel comfortable. The food was great...kids' meals were plenty big, my wife's filet was done perfectly, and my fish fry was good. We were impressed...but not surprised as we've come to expect good things from the Bartolottas brand."

"My first time. Servers were friendly and knowledgable. I suppose the prices were quite high because of the North Shore area. I was treated, for my birthday, by my friend. The food was tasty, but I, personally, wouldn't go back. Too expensive for me. I would recommend the restaurant to my affluent friends."

"Food, drinks and service were excellent. The place was hopping during our Saturday evening visit. Atmosphere was high-end club — an easy going mix of couples, families and groups, with a special occasion feel.
My steak was done as I requested and my server checked to make sure that it was. My wife's salmon was also very nice.
This place won't blow you away (it's not Sanford or Lake PArk Bistro), and the prices are steep. But the experience is fun and the food is good. There is little competition at this level in the foodie desert that is Ozaukee county."
