Piri Piri
As Hoboken's first and only Portuguese restaurant, we are committed to ensuring our patrons enjoy the best possible gastronomic experience. Piri Piri is family owned and operated. We use only the freshest ingredients and refuse to use large corporate meat and poultry suppliers. Instead, we partner only with smaller family-operated farms.
All our barbecue is finished with our subtle, yet flavorful Piri Piri sauce. We import whole Piri Piri peppers from Africa to create the base of our barbecue preparation, much as our ancestors began doing in the 15th century.

"Dinner was on Valentine’s Day. You would figure for a night when a lot of people go out for dinner the restaurant would be properly staffed. It was not. It took an hour to get our appetizer. When our entrees arrived, mine was wrong. My date’s fish was dry and overdone. Other customers around us were also complaining about the service and/or food. Take-out packages were flying out the door, though."
