"Helpful staff, interesting and inventive Turkish Mediterranean cuisine. Asked the waitress for recommendations and her choices were spot on and very enjoyable. Food came very quickly. Each plate was finished to the bottom - would have licked the plates if we were home! Excellent sauces and dips to accompany the dishes. Had the Turkish appetizer meatballs, the appetizer zucchini fritters and for entree the special chicken -- all delicious. Then to top it off had the scrumptious pistachio baklava. Will return again!"

"Menu is quite limited. The service was bizarre. The waitress collected our appetizer plates while we were still eating. The restaurant was a huge disappointment. If you want better Turkish food, check out A La Turca on Geary at Larkin."

"I've been the the restaurant on Clement many times but this was my first visit to the one on Fillmore. The menu is much smaller but the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the fact that I could have a conversation without shouting. I will definitely return."

"The food at Troya is much better than your average Middle Eastern restaurant. I'm not really a lamb kabob fan, but Troya's version is juicy and succulent. I also tried the Adana Lamb (ground) Kabob which was perfectly juicy and pleasantly spicy. I will definitely go back."

"A disappointing lunch at one of my previously favorite lunch destinations. The salad was stale and sparse, they were out of decaf, we ordered two teas. They brought one pot of cold tea that had been left at the counter too long. The pot was chipped, my cup was chipped and when I asked for a new cup, the waiter argued with me! He was quite indignant! I had to argue to have the tea removed from my bill! I was told their was no manager on site.
On previous occasions, I found the wait staff to be superb and the food quite delicious. I hope this was just an off day."

"This was a last minute reservation I made through Open Table. I had no expectations for this place but I was definitely impressed with the whole experience. The wait staff was patient and friendly and suggested great items on the menu. The Turkey Dumplings were phenomenal as were the kabobs. Nice wine list and just a nice place to have dinner, whether its date night, couples dinner, family dinner, etc."
