"I was aware of French Meadow Cafe as a bakery but didn't know they served meals as well. Had my first dinner there the other night and the food and service were excellent. Would recommend this to anyone looking for good, reasonably-priced meals. Also has a nice atmosphere, beer and wine selection."

"I decided to order something different and went with the Tempeh Chorizo & Sweet Corn Arepas. I found the dish bland and I am confident it was missing the tempeh chorizo. The waitress was sure it was in the dish. If it was, it had no flavor and missing that flavor ruined the entire dish."

"The food, as always, was very good. The service unfortunately was not. My server was aloof and inexperienced. We had been seated for 35 minutes and never received a basket of bread. I finally had to go ask the host if he could bring us some. I ordered an appetizer and specifically requested it be brought out before my meal but everything arrived at once. My server never came by to ask how the food was or to see if we wanted a second glass of wine. We eat at the French Meadow almost every week. The food is great, the atmosphere is nice, but the service is spotty and has very high turnover. There are one or two experienced waiters that I specifically request when I can to avoid an unpleasant dining evening."

"The food was very good. I love that it is organic & GMO free. I appreciate that they offer food for all of us: vegan, vegetarian, gluten sensitive, & meat eaters alike. The staff are helpful & friendly. The venue is noisy and does not lend itself to conversation in a group, but typical for a cafe. I will definitely go again."

"The menu is wonderful and the food delicious. It's a small place and the tables were tight but vibrant enough that I didn't feel as though our conversation was flowing into anyone elses space. The halibut was a bit overcooked and I told the server. She notified the kitchen and they corrected the mistake going forward and gave me 20% off my meal - which I thought was fair since I ate it anyway."

"I really think this place is better for breakfast and lunch. I've never been disappointed for Breakfast/Lunch, but I just wasn't impressed with what I ordered for dinner and the service was really average. The dessert was especially mediocre. We waited a really long time for our waitress to come take our orders--it was like they didn't know who was going to be serving us, even though we had a reservation. And, even though I was specific on the reservation that we were celebrating my birthday, my partner had to coordinate getting a birthday dessert from the server. I think the server should have mentioned it at the beginning--"I hear someone is celebrating a birthday" or something like that. They just seemed super disorganized."

"We went to French Meadow for Valentine's day dinner. The atmosphere was romantic, and we both enjoyed the decor. The bread was delicious. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli. While it was very good, the brown butter sauce made it very sweet, and it was difficult to keep eating after a while. My fiance had the thai basil sandwich, which he liked and ate everything on his plate. He would rate it as very good, but not amazing. For dessert, I had the pretty in pink cake. It was good, a little dry though. My fiance had the creme brulee tart. We both thought it had too much crust. I was a bit disappointed that they were out of both my first choices for wine and dessert. I will come back, but maybe try breakfast/brunch next time!"

"our table was extremely cramped. there wasn't room for the plates and glasses we were brought. it was noisy and difficult to talk. our entrees came as we were still eating our salads and we had to send them back, both because we weren't ready AND there wasn't room. Our server was very kind and actually attentive but unfortunately the overall experience wasn't great. The food was OK but nothing special."

"Normally I think French Meadow has a great, romantic atmosphere in the evenings. However, on Valentine's Day, they had the lights turned way up (not dimmed like usual), which was odd for the occasion. Our server greeted us by saying "What's up?" and was not very attentive. We will be back because we love the food and are regulars, but our Valentine's experience was very disappointing."

Also, I was supposed to be offered a choice of sides with my meal and the sever failed to present me with those options and simply made the choice for me what I would eat. "We made reservations and got right in when we arrived--very nice! It was cozy (cramped) but great family atmosphere. Nice selection of vegan and gluten free items. The butternut squash ravioli was perfect. The chorizo tempeh with 2 corn alepas was very tasty as well--guacamole was amazing! However,we thought the food was a bit too pricey relative to the serving size. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and came back to the table just often enough."

"French Meadow is one of my favorite spots for brunch or lunch. The staff is usually very helpful, the food comes out quick, and is always delicious. Brunch can sometimes get very crowded so either make a reservation or get there early! As for dinner - most of the same things apply. I love the food, service, and atmosphere. The food has started to get a little more expensive, but for the quality - it is worth it! I can't wait for their new wine bar."
