"First time visiting the Corner Table, and I was wowed. The place is teenie (12 tables or so) but the food is large. The pork belly is incredible, the house-made lamb sausage with polenta rich and deep, the plating very very nice. I would definitely try Corner Table if you haven't done so. The kitchen table looks like an experience second-to-none; they recommend you take a cab!"

"I was very excited to dine at Corner Table, only to be disappointed with the food. There were few vegetarian options, but our server kindly advised that I could select a dish sans meat and order a half pasta instead. I went with her advice only to be served gnocchi with the inner texture of mayonnaise. My friend tried the dish too and commented there was zero flavor. We tried salt and pepper, but to no avail. I sent the dish back and opted for sautéed veggies instead. The server still charged me for the flavorless dish I barely ate.
I will not be returning. I was a server for 7 years in fine dining, and am left confused at my Corner Table experience."

"We dined here for the first time this past weekend, to celebrate my husband's birthday. A friend had recommended it to him, and it was his choice. The restaurant itself, is very small, but quaint. The service was wonderful and the food, very well prepared. We had 3 very different styles of dinners, and each one of us loved our food! The menu is interesting and unique. I would highly recommend! We will be back!"

"I was Very impressed after eating at this place I did not anticipate how delicious the food would be. the charcuterie plate was amazing my antree was quite delicious (duck breast) and the doughnuts desert was to die for. I would definitely recommend this place I am not sure why I waited so long to go but I'm definitely hooked! Give it a shot you won't be dissapointed."

"I hadn't been back to Corner Table since they changed ownership and had heard good things. They were consistently good before and look to be upping the game. Creative menu and perfectly prepared dishes around the table. Server was knowledgable and offered up excellent wine pairings. This is the kind of restaurant that speaks to the depth of good food that can be found on neighborhood street corners throughout the city that has made the Twin Cities a nationally recognized foodie destination."

"The service was excellent and noise level was low enough to encourage conversation. But, the food was average, uninspired, considering the price. Won't be returning soon."

"This was one of the best dining experiences my husband and I shared in Minneapolis/Midwest. The food carefully prepared from farm to table, the menu is creative and everyone who worked there was knowledgable and gracious. I want to get some friends together and experience the kitchen table, where you can eat in the kitchen and be served by the chef who has prepared everything for you in front of you. I will definitely be back to Corner Table."

"A truly delightful dinner experience ... the welcome, the level of attention, the simple but totally adequate menu, a stunning wine list, splendidly prepared food, impeccable service (warm, well-timed, extremely helpful), all-in-all everything our party of three celebrating a mid-life birthday had hoped for."

"I love the atmosphere and the excellent service. The food is pretty good (not as good as Heidi's in my opinion). The pork belly appetizer was VERY good. My duck breast entre was pretty good (very tender but got cold before I finished),the roasted brussle sprouts were cooked perfectly, but I wish the sweet potato puree was more substantial. My husband's lamb ragu was delicious but the ratio of homemade pasta to meat was a little off... needed more pasta. Also, be warned that they don't serve liquor at this restaurant... only beer and wine."

"We had the tasting menu with the wine pairings and also ordered a couple of additional courses to try, so we got a pretty good feel for the menu. Everything we tried was good, and quite a few things were excellent. The pork belly with apple puree was delicious, the duck ravioli were incredible, and the sweet potato donuts were amazing. The wine pairings were well thought out, and our server's knowledge of the menu and wine list really helped bring everything together. We made our next reservation before we even left...excited to see what the new spring menu has in store for us."

"Top notch! Everything was wonderful! The service was perfect and the food was outstanding! A good friend and I had a wonderful time tucked back at a two top in the corner. It was private enough, but we still experienced the energy of the place. I will definitely recommend to friends! Thank you corner table! Oh, and the gnocchi was melt in your mouth delicious! Will return!"

"We had a fabulous first experience at Corner Table. The owner, Nick, gave me two samples of wine to try before I chose a glass. He was chatty and he and my boyfriend even made a connection on motorcycles/mopeds. The food was awesome but very rich so we didn't finish everything. I found the Restaurant Week menu more approachable than the regular menu. I will return!"

"Got the best seat in the house---an actual "corner table" by the window. We took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu. It was outstanding! A really nice touch here is that they start you out with a house-pour glass of bubbly. Even though it was a special menu, they didn't skimp on the portions but we didn't leave overly stuffed either. My wife had silky squash soup with duck confit and a delicious pork sugo pappardelle. I had a delicate gnocchi dish, followed by a pork charcroute dish with house made sauerkraut, pork-belly, sausage and loin. The desserts were a creamy chocolate "tower" topped with a lacy tuile, and warm sweet potato donuts with carmel sauce. And the wine pairings were perfectly matched. All this for $30 a person!"

"My second visit to Corner Table was for 2013 Winter Restaurant Week. It's been way too long. The food is largely locally sourced, but it's not in your face about doing that by sacrificing flavor and simplicity. It was also refreshing to get out of downtown -- minimal attitude and hipster sensibility. Everything was delicious and the wine list was interesting and reasonably priced. It was a great night; do yourself a favor and get over there."

"Our dinner was very good. The favorite dish of the group was the scallops, and the duck was also excellent. The pappardelle was tasty, but lacked salt. It is irritating that the cheese plate clearly does not contain enough toasts for the amount of cheese."

"What an awesome dinner! My date and I couldn't have picked a better place. Impeccable service to boot. The server/owner even brought an after dinner Cognac on the house because it was the perfect matching with you dessert selection. We'll definitely be back."

"The decor is simple, the food is extraordinary. We came on Valentine's day weekend, there were several groups waiting when we got there. No host, and it took the staff a few minutes to notice that we had come in and were standing with the others waiting for a table. But the food was well worth the wait. We ordered the tasting menu with the wine pairings with each course. Awesome. Everything from the wild mushroom soup with duck confit to the lobster claw curry with coconut basmati was amazing. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but after these pairings, I've come to appreciate how a well paired wine really enhances the experience. We were feeling so good we opted for a cab home."

"My wife and I were disappointed after hearing such great things. Food portions are too small and bland, and I know what to expect at a restaurant like this in that respect. With the style of food a little blandness was expected but nothing had a kick or was memorable. It's decent food, but not worth $25-28 an entree. Other restaurants in the Twin Cities are much better at this level."

"We haven't eaten at Corner Table for a little over a year. We were surprised to find out it had changed owners and chefs and were a little nervous about how the food would be. It was fantastic. Rather than do the special Valentine's Day menu, we ordered on our own. The pork belly and duck pate are very good. The smoked duck breast had so many layers of flavor, smokiness, lavender and over all goodness! The bison was super tender and tasted great. Servings are very generous, and left no room for dessert. Corkage is $15. At first I was put off my the haughtiness of the waitress, but she got better over time. We will be back."

"My wife and I did the 4 course Valentines meal with wing pairings. For a $100/plate price you expect a dining experience. What we experienced was luke warm soup and OK food. The main course consisted of about 6 small bites of beef and 6 nickel sized medallion potatoes. At 1/2 the price this would be a great mean. But did not merit the level they charged. I ended up eating a breakfast sandwich after we got home since the food was a bit on the light side. The wines were nicely paired."

"This was our first visit to Corner Table. We ate dinner with another couple and two of us ordered the 5 course tasting menu. Each course was a delicious surprise. Creative and flavorful but not so much food that you felt stuffed. Our server was attentive, informed, but not over-bearing. She was helpful in our wine choice and did not seem put out by the fact that we were not interested in spending a lot on wine. I had read that service was sometimes an issue at Corner Table but we all felt that the service and the food were outstanding. We plan to return again soon!"

"Wow!!! It's all about the food here. The well thought out menu changes weekly and is based on whats fresh and available. The meats on the charcuterie platter are all prepared in house and was wonderful. It's enough for 4 people but a doggie bag was well appreciated during football the following day. The pork dish was like pork I've never eaten before. The pork was sourced from a farm in New Englund and was served 3 ways. This is definately a keeper and we'll be back."
