"I thought the restaurant was in very poor condition. The food was OK. I ordered a salad and a portion of the salad had wilted lettuce. I dont get the attraction to this place."

"We had a special dinner early on a Friday night, May 17th, 2013. I love the relaxed feel of this place - like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The warm lobster salad was very delicious. My husband really enjoyed the salmon. Service was well-timed and friendly. This restaurant is close to our home. So, it is easy access and easy parking. We consider it for a unique eating experience."

"This is mom's favorite restaurant, so we took her here for an early Mother's Day dinner. Some things came up and we ended up running a bit behind, but they adjusted our reservation last minute with no issues. As always, the experience at Restaurant Christine was wonderful. The restaurant itself is tucked away in an unassuming location, and is such a charming place. It's definitely one of those local gems that you half want to keep a secret just for yourself but half want to tell all your friends about, despite worry that it will get too popular and become a hassle for you to get a seat in the future.
In short: Great food. Charming place. Friendly service. Tasty specials that keep the menu fresh and new."

"I treated my friend to lunch at Christine's for her birthday and not only had they decorated the table, but also gave her a lovely dessert. The food was delicious (as always). It is my favorite restaurant."

"While seemingly simply prepared, the menu was creative and inspired with outstanding dressings and sauces. Our experience was lunch and while not "quiet" it was easy to carry on a conversation. Hearts of romaine salad with creamy taragon was great. The South Western chicken pasta was excellent - no where near a 'typical' dish. Restaurant Christine manages to prepare and serve food that is not too exotic for anyone's taste. We're looking forward to our next trip to the area!"

"Had lunch on a Friday. The food and service was above average and prices reasonable for white tablecloth dinning. I had the Asian sampler platter which contains a nice selection of food, plenty to eat. My friend got the lobster salad which was also very good but not as filling. They provided a nice selection of breads with lunch."

"This is just one of those restaurants that delivers on all levels, food, service & ambiance. It has a bistro-quality to it. While the menu may not change that much they do offer a variety of interesting specials."

"As always, the food is unique and excellent. The Szechuan seared ahi was one of the best meals I've ever had! And the service was very personable as always. Christine's is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the LA area, while having none of the pretentiousness of most fine dining establishments."

"I had the lamb chops-they were cooked perfectly. It came with an excellent sauce, an "out of this world" eggplant moussaka that complimented the lamb chops perfectly and sauted fresh spinach. They have excellent wines by the glass...Far Niente chardonnay, my favorite and I had an excellent meritage to go with the lamb. A truly, stellar dinner."

"We love Kim the manager who is always friendly and accomodating. However, the waiter we had we have had before and he is terrible. He has no personality and as we have all agreed before, would not work for any of us. He is not doing Christine's justice by representing the restaurant. Not friendly in the slightest, almost hard to get a smile out of thim.... We love Christines, but will make sure he does not wait on us again."

"A new dish was the seafood pasta. Not regularly on the menu. Excellent assortment of seafood, tasty sauce, perfectly seasoned, and served "hot." Typically excellent service - serve was friendly, attentive, but intrusive. Suggested the dish become a regular menu item. Cost was reasonable for the delicious dish and a generous portion as well. Server's name: Lisa. The greeter/hostess: Barbara."

"The restaurant is on two levels, located in a small shopping plaza. Ample free parking in the lot in front of the restaurant. Welcoming casual environment. Friendly, knowledgeable servers. A wide ranging menu that seems a bit eclectic. I thoroughly enjoyed a large mixed greens salad prepared with Asian apples, raisins, feta cheese instead of bleu cheese, a raspberry vinaigrette sauces, and a fig reduction accent. The lobster chile relleno was also wonderful. A wide range of desserts; I opted for simple - vanilla ice cream with a mix of liqueurs. I appreciated that they are flexible in designing a meal with you and substituting ingredients. The wine list is also quite extensive with a good variety of wines available by the glass."

"Restaraunt Christine has to be my favorite. Glad to see the Duck back on the menu. The only drawback was I couldn't have both the Duck and the Petite Wellington. Had a really good time (as always). Will be back."

"We have been to Restaurant Christine three times now. The food is very enjoyable and the ambiance is cozy. The staff is friendly and fairly attentive. The bar, however, seems to be a bottleneck. Our first experience was long ago, so I don't remember what happened. The last two times, however, we had to sit around waiting for our drinks. When dining last weekend, I received a cocktail a few minutes before eating but my husband didn't get his. When we finally caught the waitress, she did go to remedy the situation. My husband got his cocktail, wine and food all at the same time. I will say that the waitress did try to make up for the error by bringing a dessert gratis which was appreciated."

"Unfortunately, we were there during the Valentine Day celebration period; so, service wasn't as good as usual, and it was very noisy. Usually, the ambiance is quite good, and the service is typically exemplary. This was just one of those very busy times in a small venue with, perhaps, not enough servers. We love Restaurant CHristine and will continue to eat there."

"The menu tends to be traditional dishes with some inventive elements. All seem to be executed very well. My only complaint on the food is that the portion sizes are absurdly large as single servings. They are ideal for sharing. That's not really a complaint as much as a warning. Don't fear the take home option or sharing."

"Food is wonderful and imaginative. Service is friendly, prompt and not overbearing. Only suggestion is that the wine list is a bit thin. Not a lot of variety, especially in wines by the glass. But the terrific food and service make up for that."

"Food and service was great. Only thing was we were sat at a very tiny table next to the bar. There is very little space between the bar and the two very small table next to the bar. People standing at the bar were standing with theirs back sides towards us right up against our table. Servers also had to make their way through and by us to service the other small table behind us. This was a parents night out so we were a bit disappointed that we felt so encroached upon."

"We never heard of this restaurant until we received a gift card from a friend. We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer, Asian Grazing Sampler. Our favorite was the rare seared ahi. I liked the Warm Mushroom Salad, but I could've had it without the gorgonzola cheese-- it was too overwhelming in flavor and the texture was too rich; plus, I wish we were informed how big the salad was (I didn't know it was good enough for 2-3 people and my husband doesn't like cheese, so he wouldn't eat any of it). Both of us had the Asian Trio for the main course, which was very good: the scallop was delicious, the bbq short rib seemed out of place in flavor but not bad, and the shrimp was the best of everything. Hope to return again someday."
