"We had out of town, NYC, guests, we were celebrating a major birthday , we had worked all day, we were exhausted and hungry and we wanted to relax and eat well. SOMA, as usual, presented wonderful food and filled our needs and expectations. Our guests considered the meal exceptional. Bean soup was delicious and as always the crispy calamari salad was a table hit. For the first time of our many meals at Soma, I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the Bento Box. SOMA is simply the best restaurant in Bradenton and I say that without any reservation."

"Best Fried Green tomatoes anywhere. The entrees were good. I had the flounder and chips. I hail from the South Jersey shore the fish was good but definitely not flounder. If you dont use it just say "Fish and Chips" Skirt Steak good again but portions are small. There was enough spinach was a fork full. Service was OK but one person didn't cut it. We were getting service when there were only a few tables but more tables came in and we were abandoned. This needs to be corrected. I wil try one more time."

"Great local place. Simple but nice decor. My friend said best shrimp and cheesy grits EVER, and she orders this entree when ever it is on a menu. Wine selection, modest in length, high in quality priced reasonable. Attentive friendly service. Look forward to returning soon."
