The Table is an urban neighborhood restaurant focused on seasonal ingredients, hand-crafted cocktails and progressive wines. We are called The Table because we recognize a table’s unique ability to bring together delicious food, fun drinks and good people. Many of life’s best memories have been created around a table.
Our cuisine is contemporary American, paying tribute to the people and cultures that call this valley home. We believe that the quality of our product begins at the source—with the farmers, ranchers, and dairymen that produce them. By establishing relationships with local farms and ranches, our goal is to understand the origins of everything we cook and seek out only those ingredients produced with integrity and care. "This restaurant far exceeded my expectations. I have lived in Willow Glen for a year and believe The Table has to be the best restaurant in this area. The moment you step into the restaurant you feel as
if you are friends of the staff and that they are going to make sure you have a great dining experience. I let our server know that I am a vegan and she discussed my options for me and helped me choose my courses. I had a great meal with a terrific glass of wine. My vegetables were so fresh and cooked to a vegans delight! The rest of my family are not vegans and enjoyed their meals as well. If you are foodie who loves farm to table restauants come here you will love it!"

"If you are looking for fresh, interesting and delicious dishes - this is the place. The care and detail in picking out their ingredients is evident. The wine list is also fun and reasonably priced. I've had some incredible wines (lower $ range) that are not available at other places, and they change up the selections to keep things interesting.
The service is friendly, warm and helpful. They value their customers and treat each table in a special, authentic and personal manner. They pay attention and make dinner fun and enjoyable.
Dinner with appetizer, a main course and a two glasses of wine will run around $100. It's worth it, but I wish I could afford to dine there more often.
p.s. The chocolate pot de creme with sea salt is amazing!"

"The Tabke is nothing if not consistent: it always over-reaches but under- delivers. This time it seized a great notion - beef cheek sliders--but then wiped a paltry spoonful of beef between two rick hard dinner buns failing to deliver on the promise. For added fun, we had a gruff waiter who looked like he was forced to be there."

"Quite a gastronomic experience ! Loved the food - had pork belly for starter, and braised beef cheeks for main. The Ricotta begnets with lemon curd were a spectacular finish. The service was informative and attentive, friendly and the host even turned the loud hip hop music down - not quite the best music for a restaurant this elegant.

"The service was excellent. Our server introduced herself, then listed the specials for the night as well as items on the menu that were not available for the evening. Our water glasses were constantly being refilled.
I had the beet salad, the grits and the toffee cake. Everything was presented very nicely and the flavors of the ingredients blended very nicely.
If you're looking for a quick meal, this is not the place for you. The food here is best when enjoyed in a very leisurely manner.

"See my also my reviews on Yelp. Love this place, eat here whenever I can. Focus is on very fresh, best ingredients, creatively yet not ostentatiously combined for interesting, wonderful food. Service is friendly and good. It's great for a business or a ladies' lunch out, and great for dinner with a special someone or business colleagues or family. The wine list is small, and if you require lots of choice, you may want to bring your own bottle. But, for those who enjoy a decently drinkable table wine at a great price, try their wine on tap--they are cheap and decent.The bar drinks are lovely too! Bread-fab; desserts-perfect in my book, and now there's always some vegets., gluten free and even vegan choice-and all yummy, "regular" food"

"Unfortunately, our reservation was on the eve after the wine stroll. The bar scene was obnoxious. The food was very good but our experience was ruined by the noise. We could not even carry on a conversation during our meal. We should have been moved immediately and the tables near the bar not used as the bar was overcrowded. Or they should have limited bar patrons. Ask for a table away from the bar."

"Only complaint is it is way too loud. I went with a group of six and I couldn't hear the person next to my, nevermind those down the table. It was also difficult to hear when I returned with one other person. I would not recommend it for groups because it is was to hard to hear. Everyone in our party agreed. It was a celebration of a major accomplishment and most of couldn't hear the guest of honor describe the event."

I would only come back for an early dinner as it was quite noisy by the time 7pm came around. It was wonderful to be able to have a conversation early on with my friend. "I liked the wide open, sun-filled space of The Table. The main wall of the restaurant was floor-to-ceiling windows, so the space was filled with the warm glow of dusk at our 5:30 reservation. There were two long wooden communal tables in the middle of the dining room. My party of three was seated along a wall, so two of us got to sit on a comfortable, padded bench. There were a couple of mis-steps with the quality of the food, but the manager, Brian Nicholas took excellent care of us. His excellent customer service changed our minds from never returning to giving The Table another try."

"This was my 5th visit in 5 months. Always great. Some of the menu items do change which I like. Lots of variety and choices on the menu. The beef cheeks are wonderful. The Table is my favorite place to eat in San Jose. I almost forgot about to mrntion the specialty cocktails. Great selection and always interesting and delicious. I had a Sassy Pilgram. Gin, jalapeño syrup, rhubarb juice. It was very tasty."

"AMAZING!! Food was perfection- we had 3 appetizers to share; rabbit fritters, pork belly, and duck confit. All three were amazing and unconventional. For entrees we had the lamb sirloin- cooked perfectly with amazing flavor and beef cheeks which fell apart in your mouth and were extremely rich in flavor. For dessert we had the beignets- little bit of heaven! Cocktails were sublime- highly recommend the bourbon side car and they have a great bourbon selection. Cannot go wrong with this restaurant!"

"Staff took note that it was our anniversary and greeted us with a glass of champagne. Wonderful service. Staff was helpful explaining menu items and offering suggestions. We enjoyed several starters and delicious entrees in a warm relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be going back!"

"It was our first time at the Table and all four of us really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The service was great - our waiter made everything on the menu sound absolutely wonderful, and everything truly was absolutely wonderful. The food was fresh, flavorful, and fit for foodies!"

"the place is very cute-but nothing shouted awesome. Food was good, service was okay-considering they only had about 5 table occupied during lunch, our server rarely checked in on us unless food was being served and NEVER asked if I wanted another drink. He did refill my water toward the end, but unless you ask for something, they were not checking. The food choices were just okay. I ordered the burger becasue nothing else looked totally delicious. I asked about the spaetzle and the waiter sold me off of it because he said it was "too bland" and tasted like cauliflower.I had to appreciate his honesty.My friend ordered the pear and chicken salad and she said it really was not very tasty-that too was bland.dont waste $16 on a burger..or salad"

"First time at the Table and enjoyed it very much. I liked the fact that they are willing to risk putting some unusual and/or hard find items on the menu (roasted marrow bones) - along with some standbys (burgers). Service was very friendly and attentive, without being annoying. Nice casual atmosphere, but like a lot of places now it seems, very noisy. We will return."

"Our waitress, Wendy, was great and very knowledgeable re the menu. The greeter was welcoming and friendly. Ambiance was very cool! Cauliflower (vegan) soup was really good - light and very good taste. I had the braised beef cheek tostada - first time for that - really good, not something I would've normally ordered. Russet potato gnocchi with spiced root vegetables, was somewhat disappointing as the gnocchi was not very flavorful and the root vegetables were pretty much raw and very hard to chew. We did trying eating them, but not enjoyable. May be that we're not 'root' vegetable fans. I would probably try going back - but for breakfast."

"Our service was outstanding. The food was very good, and we thought it to be very reasonably priced. Decor and style was nice. Seating is open floor with tables very close together, which caused the restaurant to become very noisy as it got busy. Be prepared to overhear your neighbors' dinner conversations and for them to hear yours. The set-up felt more European.
Will happily go again, will just try to get there early before the crowd."

"The place looks nice and cool but the service is very random. We were seated half an hour later than the reservation. The menu is very limited. Not vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free friendly. The portions are very small. The fish was very gummy, not good at all. The veal was ok. It's too expensive for what you get. Will not go back.

"The host was super friendly and remembered my name when I left - impressive! The food was amazing but small portions. We were able to get a small table in the corner but know that you may have to sit at a table with others but it would be great for a big group cause the tables are long and the place is lively. Parking is tough as Willow Glen is usually hopping but if you use street parking in the nearby neighborhoods, it makes life a lot easier. Enjoy!"
