"We've been dining at Cafe Marbella for some time and they never disappoint. If you've ever been to Spain then you will surely appreciate the best tapas in Chicago at this restaurant. We always order from the specials menu and everything is authentically prepared and flavorful. It is BYOB and definitely worth a visit."

"The food at this restaurant is excellent and it is BYOB. The night we went (a Saturday) there was the formal printed menu, a specials printed menu and the waiter told us about the "special special menu". My group of 7 had a wonderful time and enjoyed the food. I will be back. Great fun."

"We dined early and when the place got busy, they were clearly understaffed and repeatedly forgot us, so they missed a chance to "up-sell" us some dessert. Food was delicious - try those figs!"

"This was our second time at cafe Marbella, but NOT our last! This place is great for enjoying conversation and wonderful food with friends..or with your romantic partner. We ordered the figs with bacon again and they were as tasty as I remembered from the first visit. This time we ordered four different desserts and they were all outstanding. I wish the Empanadas were part of the regular menu and not one of the specials. We missed them!"

"The experience was only marred by the insensitivity of the owner/maitre'd. He seated us by a window that was cold for my spouse. When we asked to switch tables (there were many available) he refused us. Thankfully our wonderful waitress spoke with him and changed our table. The food and service were quite good and we will go to Cafe Marbella Tapas again."

"This is a perfect night out. The tapas were excellent. Fun to choose lots for the table to share. My personal favorite was the figs wrapped in bacon in cream sauce. I am still dreaming about them. My niece's selection was the goat cheese which was also a 10. The sausage empanadas were outstanding. We ordered one Paella Valencia to share and I was not as impressed with that as I was with the tapas, so next time we will do even more tapas and skip the paella. Service was friendly, even as the place got busier and busier, the service was always cordial. Dessert was fantastic. We arrived just as they opened and by the time we left, there were lines of people waiting. We will be back, again arriving early to avoid the rush."

"Good tapas. Much quieter than Cafe Iberico so you can actually have a conversation. Vastly understaffed. One waiter was covering two full rooms of diners. He was great but looked like he was about to have a heart attack from running around so much."

"Overall, this was a great place to eat. The food was amazing. I would not recommend if you are wanting to catch up with friends. The food comes out promptly and over time when ordering the tapas which is great since you always have a warm dish however if you linger, the waitstaff makes you feel like you are taking too much time. I actually received a bad look from the waiter when I ordered a glass of water after we finished eating. I would not recommend bringing a child. Although the child we had with us tried almost everything there is not a kid-friendly menu. I would definately go again without a child and if I was not planning on catching up with the people I came with. And make reservations. They are packed started around 7:00pm"
