"This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. The food is great, although the drinks are not refillable they way the bartender makes them your only going to need one. Some of the servicers are a bit rude but overall the food is great."

"They did not honor our reservation, we waited half an hour and then left. My friend is pregnant, and had to wait, getting bumped by people, and extremely hungry. Every time we asked about our table, they kept on saying we showed up late, even though we showed up at 7:28 for a 7:30 reservation. Also, they initially claimed we didn't have a reservation, even though I showed them the open table confirmation and then my name on their computer screen."

"The staff refused to seat our table since only 5 of 6 of our party was there. When I argued, they finally agreed, reluctantly, but said we wouldn't be allowed to order until all 6 had arrived. After our 6th arrived a few minutes later, it took 10 minutes to get someone to take our order. Appetizers came out quickly, but then we had to wait nearly 30 minutes for our entrees. One of the orders was incorrect, and it took another 15 minutes to get the corrected order. Then, when we left a tip of 15%, the waitperson complained to us that it wasn't enough. I won't go back."

"I enjoyed Spice. Great location and easy to find. I felt they forgot about my table. 2 tables beside us was served, although we were waiting for more than 45 minutes. I told the waitress to omit peanuts from my pad thai but my pad thai was loaded with peanuts. Overall it was nice."

"The food didn't taste good. The music was too loud I couldn't hear my boyfriend. I could barely see the menu, the light from outside was barely getting through (it was 6pm) so I had to use my phone's light to see the menu. The waiter was very rude, he brought me someone else's dinner literally five minutes after taking my order. ( mind you we ordered appetizers) When I said that it wasn't my dinner, he automatically yelled at me saying yes it is, it's what you ordered!! Everyone on the 6th floor heard what was going on. When he realized he was at the wrong table he didn't even apologize for what he did. Another waitress finished serving us and was forcing us to get dessert. And got mad when I didn't leave a big tip! NEVER GOING BACK!"

"On a busy Friday night it took a few minutes longer to be seated past our reservation but it was worth it. We enjoyed appotizers of Calamari and the Pad Thai Spring Rolls- and the Panang Curry was excellent. The brown rice was a little dry but overall Really good food at good value. Will go back for sure."

"Large portions and nicely balanced spice in our choices. Tried spring rolls, noodle spring rolls, pad thai, and some kind of crispy pork chunks in a sweet/spicy sauce. Table for two was too tiny to accommodate all our dishes, decor was fairly austere but serviceable, and wait service was pleasantly attentive without being overbearing. Looking forward to another visit and would definitely recommend it for inexpensive, casual dining."

"The ambience was nice, the servers were good and nice. Great deal for drink and appetizer combo. The appetizers were good but my Chicken Massaman came out way overcooked, the chicken was tough and rubbery from being overcooked, and the brown rice was undercooked. The flavor of the Massaman was good, too bad the chicken was overcooked. It was my first time here, I would try it again since the appetizers were good and the service was good."

"The customer service was horrible. The hostess did not look me and my date in the eye. There were plates left on the table during the meal. Myself and my guest felt like we were not respected. We all were paying for their service but we all was not given an equal dining experience. The food was tasty but the service was so poor I may never go back to spice in Union Square. "Craving Thai (specifically fried rice) and was going to a show nearby, I checked out the menu and reviews here and they looked good so off I went. My reservation was for 6pm on a Sat but I was so hungry I went at 5 and was surprised by the crowd already there. Being alone I told them I would just take a seat at the bar. I sat at the far end near the semi open kitchen and was a bit uncomfortable with the heat coming from there but not enough to move. The space is confined but beautiful with low lighting, black walls mixed with bright color furniture, super high ceilings and a second floor balcony with tables overlooking the bar.

"When we checked in at the front, the hostess at the front dismissed us and told us one minute. Ten minutes later and ten minutes after our reservation I checked in again and seemed to annoy her but was immediately sat. Unclear if the wait was purposeful or she forgot us and needed a reminder. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. Much later our entrees came lukewarm and no appetizer. I asked the guy who brought the food who was not our waiter about the appetizer, he responded you wanted it after your entrees right. We responded no. A head waitress then came over to ask if we were okay. We then canceled the appetizer order since we already had our appetizers. Again seemed annoyed.But overall the food and drinks were very good."

"My experience with Spice was pretty dreadful. My girlfriend and I waited a half an hour to be day even though we had reservations for 6. They tried twice to seat us in a section that was clearly not the "rooftop seating" that I had reserved, only to find the rooftop section completely empty when we eventually got there. The pre-fixed menu was not worded correctly so there was confusion as to how many appetizers we got, we waited 20 min between courses, and they brought me a check for $107 when my bill should have been just over $50 because the woman charged me twice for everything."

"As others have noted, we waited over half an hour for a "reserved" table for 4, and this was at 5:45pm. They hadn't opened an upper level dining area, even though there were at least 20 people waiting to be seated, all with reservations. Service is hectic, but the food is pretty good Thai. In a city with choices, why put up with this? The space is beautiful, but it is hard to relax and take it in. Management seems to be going for volume over service, over booking tables and the heavy take out traffic runs the show."
