"Fun for something new or for a special occasion. Put aside at least 2 hours if you plan on the 4 course meal. Try not to over do it on the first course of cheese or you'll never make it through the amazing chocolate dessert. We mentioned in passing that one of had a birthday recently and the waiter brought out a plate he had the cooks write happy birthday on and added a rice crispy treat cake with a candle. Nice touch! I totally recommend going to the melting pot."

"Never should've waited so long to go! Was so much fun and delicious!!!! Took 3 other girlfriends as a gift and we just kept saying OMG!! Selections were many and I don't think you could choose wrong! Feedback would be for waiter to advise that the bouillon broth doesn't brown the steak like we are used to but it still tasted great!!! I have already recommended you many times over back at the office!!"

"We have been to The Melting Pot several times. It is a great place if you want to have a casual dining experience with great food, a vastly different experience than the normal restaurant and great service. We have never been disappointed. The servers have been excellent and the food quality has been awesome as well.The only thing we would like to see changed is that some of the tables in the back area are small and the lighting is very poor. Minor setbacks to an otherwise great experience."

"We heard the ad for the "WNY Rest. week so we thought we would try it. Although for our usual night out it is a little "pricey" we really enjoyed it. Amanda R was our waitress and was great explaining everything since it was our first time.. The 4 course allowed us to get a real feel for the offerings so it was a great choice. We will deff be asking family and friends for gift certificates so we can enjoy it again!"

"7 of us went to the Melting Pot and we were all still talking about it the next day. The food was outstanding and Brendan, our waiter, we all fell in love with. His service was perfect, attentive but not rushing us his humour and banter made our evening. We couldn't believe we spent 2 and a half hours there just enjoying the evening. The format of the four course meal made us slow down and enjoy each others company. Best restaurant atmosphere for a group of friends to get together to catch up. We will all definitely be back when we travel to Buffalo/Niagara again."

"It is great to have a Melting Pot in Buffalo. This is an upscale, wonderful dining experience. From a romantic setting to, this time, a dining experience centered on the pre-teen grandchildren in order to create an unforgettable memory, the Melting Pot has something for everyone. There are many dining areas/rooms and I appreciated a separate area for our group. Our server was very attentive, the food was fresh, the area was immaculate, and there was no annoying music. The entire evening was a great experience."

"The amount of food you receive on the Cheese Fondue course is NOT worth the price. You are charged per person and get one pot of cheese, so that's about $16 and all you get is a little basket of bread, a tiny cup of veggies and a tiny cup of apples, which, to me, were pointless. The dessert fondues are more deserving of the price but overall, I don't think the food is worth the money. Also, you got rid of the BIG NIGHT OUT concept, which I really enjoyed. We probably won't return b/c despite the food being pretty good, it's def. not fine dining and not worth the money unfortunately. Sorry for having to write a downer review but it's the truth about my experience."

"Service: We were seated promptly. The server was very helpful in guiding us through the menu, showed up promptly with courses, warned us about the hot fondue pot several times, and asked with each course if everything was ok. The manager stopped by to ask as well. Even the bus boy was friendly.
Drink: the selection of teas was nice. The craft beer selection on draft was good.
Food: was varied and seemed fresh. The salads (strawberry & greens with black raspberry, Caesar) were especially good. We appreciated the reminder from the server to move raw foods directly into the pot, not to our plates. The server's extra touch in quickly making a birthday "cake" of Rice Krispie squares was appreciated"

"Went to the Melting Pot with my girlfriend a little bit in the spur of the moment. I had been wanting to go but she was turned off by the perceived high pricing, feeling it wasn't worth it for a restaurant attached to the mall. Well her Birthday was the next night so it was a bit of a special occasion. We ended up having a great time because the food was quite good, and fondue was an nteresting and fun to approach that made the meal exciting. Dessert was our favorite course because we both love chocolate, but realyl all of the food was quite good, and it did have varying tastes and textures, which was great.
I would recommend this for a couples date night for sure, but be prepared for meal prices around $30 to $50 per person w/ 1 dri"

"My fiance and I went to the Melting Pot for a date night. It was nice that they seated us at a private table that was secluded from the other guest. It created a very romantic vibe. However, a loud older couple was seated next to us about ten minutes into our meal which killed the allusion that we were alone. The food was good, however the salads were over-dressed."

"Our dinner went well, food was great, service was fine. However, it was pretty loud where we were sitting and we seemed to be in the transit lane for waiters and waitresses. On previous visits, we have sat in a more private area, which I MUCH prefer. For over $100/meal, I'd expect more of an intimate and special setting, not a "TGI Fridays" feel..."
