"The food tasted good, but the server was not knowledgeable about their menu items. I ordered the eggs benedict, and when I asked for the english muffin to be darkly toasted, the server argued with me that it wasn't possible as it wasn't served on an english muffi. When I pointed out that the menu description said english muffin she told me no it wasn't, that it came on toast. I then asked for the toast to be darkly toasted. In the end it came on an untoasted english muffin, which is kind of gross.
She was not a native english speaker, and I think she was confused about it being a baked muffin, but that doesn't excuse her arguing or the "toast" not being toasted. I expected more from a Yorkville restaurant."

"During Winterlicious: The restaurant could have been considered mediocre from the food alone but the service was so terrible that I would never go back again. It took ten minutes for the table to be greeted, then 5-7 minute intervals between water hitting the table, our bottle of wine. Bread hit the table without plates or cutlery, one appetizer came out wrong. Aside from my pasta dish which was delicious the food was average. I work in the industry too, so I can understand what it's like to be short bodies on the floor - but this was pretty inexcusable considering it wasn't very busy."

"I was a bit underwhelmed with Fortuna. The food was very good, but this was out-weighed by the lack of service. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone even brought us water, they didn't take drink orders until after the food orders. One member of our party ordered a Guiness & it arrived to the table warm. We sent the beer back, but they had forgotten to take it off the bill. The server had to be reminded several times as to what we ordered.
All that being said, I think the service was lacking sure to not having enough staff. There were only 2 waiteress' working for the whole restaurant - to put that into context, there were about 30 tables."

"The service was horrible. We had to wait for almost half an hour just to get water. And the restaurant wasn't even busy!
When the food finally came out it was missing ingredients. The food was something that anyone, with a memory lapse, can throw together."

"We made a reservation for the restaurant for the first time using OpenTable. We had never been to this restaurant before. We were meeting friends that were in town and who we haven't seen for approximately one year. They arrived at the restaurant first and there was no reservation in our name (even though we had received a confirmation number from OpenTable the night before). Our friends also advised the hostess that the reservation through OpenTable. She was advised that there was still no reservation and they were having problems with the OpenTable reservations. "Tried this place for the first time January 26th -excellent Winterlicious menu - amazing 3 cours meal for only $25.00. I've found some restaurants offer lesser quality of menu options during Winerlicious but not Fortuna. Best grilled calamari I've ever had and that was just the appetizer. Definitely worth a visit."

"The food at this restaurant is fantastic. We have been there a few times and will continue to go back. The only issue that we have with the restaurant is it is very noisy and hard to talk to the people/person you are dining with.
