"I am in no way about to compare this find to the world class steakhouses that I have experienced but I anticipated at least a decent local find. I must say that our waitress who seemed to run the joint did an excellent attentive job but unfortunately could only bring us the low quality i'll prepared ingredients available.
We began with the tomato and mozzarella tower with poor tasting unripened tomato and dense non-tender mozzarella.
We both then had the grass fed 20 oz. Ribeye (which was definitely more like 14 oz for which I was grateful as It had no flavor and had the mealy texture of frozen meat)
I am being totally honest with my review and not dramatic.
I didn't have the heart to complain to my overworked energetic server."

"I went to Danny's for a pre-play (at the Two River Theatre) dinner. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. The only "down side" is that due to construction, Danny's parking lot is currently closed off. However, they are offering a valet service so no worries. Danny's is a great spot to dine in Red Bank as it is situation near the Two River Theatre and away from the traffic-related issues of downtown Red Bank."

"My sweetie and I went to dinner at Danny's Steakhouse before the show at the Count Basie Theater on Friday, May 10, 2013. We had the chateaubriand and the four sides: the sweet potato french fries, the sauteed spinach with garlic and oil, the steamed broccoli, and the sauteed onions and mushrooms. The meal was "out of this world." Everything was DELICIOUS!!! Even the ciabatta bread served with the oil (and balsamic vinegar as per our request) was so good and fresh. The service was excellent--the server was attentive and professional."

"We had originally tried Danny's last year and had a bad experience with service and food. After seeing the restaurant on a Food Network show we decided to give it another try and are very happy we did. Everything we were unhappy with on our visit was obviously addressed. The service was great, very attentive and friendly and the food was awesome! We had the filet spring rolls and goat cheese salad for apps, both very fresh and flavorful. For dinner I had the Luger burger and the husband had a Hanger steak special. Both were excellent, cooked to order and tasted great. The kitchen was apparently backed up so it took a while to get our food, but the hostess and our waitress were very apologetic and even comped us a round of drinks."

"Danny's is a very good neighborhood place to unwind with a good cocktail and a good steak. For a steak joint the sushi is amazing!! The waitress was very attentive and sweet. Smart move on Danny's part to now offer valet parking because parking in that area can be difficult."

"I went with 4 people. Two had the rib eye steak. It was cooked exactly as ordered & very tasty. One had the Fra Diablo. It was hot but he really enjoyed it. I had sushi in brown rice which was good & I really like that they had a brown rice option. The Sangria was very good. The service was excellent. The waiter was very friendly & courteous and his timing was perfect. The interior is charming. The prices are what you would expect for this type of restaurant & for the location. Overall we had a nice experience & we would go back. We would recommend this restaurant."

"We really enjoyed dining at Danny's. Our server was excellent. He noticed the table was wobbling and he fixed it immediately without us even mentioning it. He was attentive and explained things on the menu. We both ordered filet mignon which was hi quality and very tender. We had delicious cheesecake for dessert. The owner was friendly and came around to all the tables asking if people were enjoying their meals. We will definitely go back."

"This is our second time this month to Danny's. It was just as good the second time!! My husband and I had a wonderful time! We started with the pecan gorganzola and pear salad which was absolutely delicious! I would consider getting it as a main course if you are looking for a lighter meal. Next we had the shrimp appetizer which again was delicious! I had a steak and my husband had the salmon special, followed by the carrot cake for dessert. Everything was delicious from beginning to end! We can't say enough about this restaurant. Not to mention that Danny himself is so personable and friendly and makes a point to come over to your table to say hello and make sure everything is okay. A great dining experience!!!"

"Danny’s is an all around excellent place to eat.
I went with some friends for dinner and was not disappointed in any part of the evening.
For dinner I had the Salmon special which was delicious, with a recommended red wine.
For desert I had Cheese cake with a Drambuie liquor.

"I took my husband to Danny's for his birthday two nights ago, since he is a steak lover. He had the 18 oz ribeye which he said was delicious. I had the tilapia special and though this obviously isn't a seafood place it was also excellent. The dark wood and lighting created a very nice ambiance, and the service was top-notch. Our server came over exactly as needed and didn't just ask "how is everything" while running by; she asked if the steak was rare enough, how our drinks were, etc. Danny stopped by the table also, as did the host/manager. The bar area is also very popular and although it was a Wednesday night the place was fairly full. I would highly recommend Danny's Grill; we definitely plan to go back."

"A great evening. Made a reservation to celebrate my aunts birthday. Our group of six is hard to please. What we loved was the diverse menu. My cousins enjoyed sushi rolls I had a perfect steak and my aunt had a crab cake appetizer with some sides from the steakhouse menu. The presentation on the crab cake was creative and elegant Everyone was satisfied and happy with the food and service What impressed me is I noted that it was my aunts birthday on the reservation. The owner came over and wished her a happy bd. nice touch and look forward to going back soon."

"I had dinner at Danny's on Saturday night with a friend. We sat in the bar room. We had a great time. The steak I had was excellent and my friends seafood special was exceptional. The owner Danny stopped by our table to chat and he was funny, gracious and added a wonderful touch to our night out! We will definitely be back!!"

"I have been to Danny's about five times now and will keep coming back. The food is amazing. They have so many different options. I love the scallop appetizer and spring rolls. The steaks and sushi are great as well. I have come with groups of friends and everyone has been very happy with their meal and the great service. Highly recommend."

"The food was good, but the service was not. One person in the party did not get their meal because it wasn't put on the order. Also, I asked for a gluten free menu and the response was that I could have pretty much anything on the menu as long as it can come "plain". ??? I decided to go for sushi, since I am celiac and did not want to risk a reaction. I brought my own GF soy sauce and told the server as much. My sushi came with sauce on the plate that was obviously made with soy sauce. I gave the sushi that was touching the brown sauce away then asked for a new plate and chopsticks to transfer the rest of the rolls. As I was leaving I heard another server asking for the gluten free menu. NICE."

"For the first time since I have been going to Danny's, I was disappointed. The service was very slow though our waitress was delightful. I ordered Filet Mignon which I asked for very rare and it came medium rare. The mushroom risotto which accompanied it was bland. Dinner at Danny's has always been a great experience, but it was truly disappointing this time"

"For the money I paid for my Grass Fed Rib eye steak and sides, I would have expected something special. It was rather tasteless and below average. I was also horrified as a couple sitting next to us was asked to move tables in the middle of their meal... I was NOT impressed in anyway and the group of 4 of us all agreed we would not return."

We showed up at 6:10 so we waited in the packed bar area. I recieved 2 bad beers and my girlfriend waited 15 min for her drink because the bar ran out of glasses. At 6:30 they wanted to sit us in the bar area which was packed. When I said no we waited till 7:20 to be seated. They tried to sit us at a table in the corner. It was so bad that someone would've had to crawl under or over the table to get in the corner seat. Due to the limited amount I'm allowed to write. I can only say when we finally did get a real seat our server was great, food was good but I would never go back again. I never had such a bad dining experience."
