"Food was ok, not really authentic Argentinian, and a bit too typical of the Westside cliched effort to be a trendy but authentic experience. It wasn't bad, but of you've ever eaten in Buenos Aires, you would know better than to go back to this restaurant."

"Visited for first time on a Saturday night at 715 and was impressed with every step of the experience. Seated and greeted quickly with space on both sides of the table. Great specials and simple entrees. Bread and chimichuri was a nice starter. Was unsure of Empanada special so waiter without prompting suggested to split it into one special (bacon and corn) and one on the menu (spinach) - both were really terrific and fast and I wish I had two of the corn. Skirt steak and Malbec reduction hanger steak were fantastic - perfect medium rare and plenty of sauce for flavor and none needed to overcome overcooked or tough meet. Very large portions but more importantly - perfectly cooked and promptly served. There are plenty of non-meat choices."

"I think my favorite steak is the skirt steak that comes with seasonal veggies. My husband and I have separately ordered the grilled prime flat before and we just don't like it. A bit tough, dry and drenched in the wine reduction."

"I had visited Argentina during the summer and decided to search for a restaurant that served Argentinian food. I remember driving by Ushaia before and making a mental note to try it out one day. I had read the reviews about their empanadas...hands down, absolutely rich with flavor (we ordered the spinach & ricotta and the lamb & porcini). As for entrees, we shared the seafood paella and was stunned by how fresh and succulent the shrimp, clams, and mussels were! My only thought was to add extra scallops next time or to add some sausage into it (more of a Spanish flair). We also ordered the skirt steak (a rarer medium rare: rare+) with grilled veg. The steak was hands down better than my experience in Argentina! Will definitely be returning!"

"I'm not one to review for the sake of it. It really needs to make an impact on me to want to share my experience and my lunch at Ushuaia the other week was transcendent. My friend and I began with the Mollejas a la Parrilla, which was an unexpected treat in of itself. I'm not even normally a sweetbread-fan but with the delightful combination of flavors, we had no problem licking this plate clean.
Next came our mains, Entrada al Chimichurri Norteno for me and Milanesa de Lomo for my friend. The meat was tender and succulent, perfectly executed by the chef. The spicy Chimichurri added a nice kick.
Lastly, the heavenly crepes de Dulce de Leche for Dessert. I have never tasted anything so delicious. I still crave it to this day. My fr"

"The meat quality of the skirt steak was very good. The spicy chimichurri that I paid extra to order was not spicy at all. The bread was mediocre, and so were the vegetables. Maybe I need to try their grill meats."

"The steak was excellent and service very good. I was disappointed with the high priced wine list. The Malbecs were too expensive which took away some of the enjoyment of the steaks. A secondary point but the chairs were not comfortable and the noise level too high."

"This is not a great steak restaurant. A couple of the sides were ok.. bit that's as good as it got. The manager/owner was eating in the restaurant too.. and seemed to be happy chatting with friends rather than being busy with customers. A meal for two with wine and tip was almost $200.. never is this restaurant worth it. We would never go again I'm afraid."

"Excellent find! A truly authentic Argentinean restaurant with outstanding food, great atmosphere, nice and accommodating staff and an overall outstanding experience. Being from Argentina, my father is very particular about his meat; he raved about the steak!"
