Dine here and walk across to the Walton Arts Center for a show or to Dickson street for late night fun. Thursday nights each summer the Fayetteville Tradition of Party on the Patio continues with live music in our outdoor venue.

"I was wanting to check out this place for awhile.. well, it wasn't that great..maybe because we didn't get the high end plates, just appetizers and the gator plate..but still it should be WOW and it wasn't.. sorry won't be back.."

"I have been to the Powerhouse more than once for dinner, each time with family. On previous occasions, I was somewhat disappointed with both the service (slow) and the food (poor). However, I was talked into giving the place another try, and was glad I did. We were there on a Thursday evening and had a great time. Much better food, hot and well prepared, and the service was terrific. It's easy to either over-cook or under-cook seafood, and this was neither. I had the sampler plate, and everything was just about perfect. I heard no complaints from anyone else, either. Would return again."

"Restaurant had great food. Waiter was sloppy, lazy and did not take his job seriously. He was happy to share his personal problems and busy work schedule as an excuse for being a poor server."

"This place is famous for its alcohol. But the sea food was average. Service was slow. We tried a number of appetizers. They were ok but nothing special. We got the fried alligator. We have had alligator before but this was not very good. Small and tough. Our main courses were ok with the tilapia being good but the others were just average. Good place for college students but not for anyone who enjoys good seafood."

"The food was good but our waitress had the personality of a stick. Her service was OK, but I don't think she smiled even once. We got the feeling she really didn't want to be there. Other than that, we enjoyed it. The food was good and the history of the building was interesting. Convenient to the Walton Arts Center."

"The gumbo was very good, and the kilowatt is a great drink. Only complaint was that the steak did not live up to the price charged. For $26 I want something that looks a bit more impressive. It tasted fine, but so does Western Sizzlin."

"Powerhouse is a consistent favorite of ours. Menu features lots of choices and the food and service have always been excellent. Appreciate the ability to park for free,too, as opposed to some of the other restaurants in town. One minor detraction is the change to charging $2 for a salad and/or baked potato as those used to be available as sides with meals. That is not going to keep us away, though, and we will continue to patronize this local eatery!"

"My wife's fried oysters were watery tasting, which indicates over-rinsing somewhere in the prep stage. They should be delicate, subtle but a wee bit fishier than these were. The boiled cold shrimp were big and fresh-tasting. My blackened catfish was ok but didn't rise above the norm. Likewise with the etuffe' - just cooked rice really. I never got my veggie sides with my meal. They were offered when I spoke up but I was already finished.
Last time we had ribeyes and they were super tender and cooked to perfection.
The wine portion was generous and a quality pinot grigio for $4 a glass!"

"We went to Powerhouse for Valentine's dinner. Food was well prepared and hot. Wasn't a huge fan of the salmon Pontchartrain, but my wife's filet was the bomb. We arrived at 6:05 and were sat promptly for our 6:15 reservation. One thing I noted was that it felt a little like a diner until they dimmed the lights for evening at 7:00. At that point the ambiance improved. Overall it was a very good meal and the service was above average. We will go again sometime."
