"Excellent service and ambiance but the food left much to be desired for the cost. The short ribs were excellent but the filet, lobster and side dish arrived at best warm. Too tired and hungry to bother complaining. Much better food for much less at other spots in Vegas."

"Dinner was fine. Just fine. But it should be special, given the restaurant's reputation and price point. Ambience was lovely, service quite nice. Dinner was just fine though, not special, and not up to par with other steakhouses. Best part of the meal was the lobster salad appetizer, but entree choice of bone-in ribeye and the sides of spinach and mushrooms were bland and very disappointing."

"The food was outstanding - we decided to have the Domestic Wagyu Surf & Turf for 4 - which quite frankly was enough food for 6-8 people. The lobster was some of the best I have ever had. I really enjoyed the wagyu strip steak which was extremely tender and very well seasoned. I really enjoyed the risotto and some of the sides as well. I am not a big mushroom eater, but they were prepared well.
I found the restaurant to be quite loud (but we went right before the Rolling Stones!) but our booth was set back so we could hear each other fine. The wait staff was very good - I had a few times where I was looking around for someone to top off my water but they had a couple big parties. Other than that (minor) issue, they were very good."

"Service was great. The waiters were very attentive, but in a helpful not in your face way. Your water glass was watched like a hawk, without you knowing, never fell below half full. We had the domestic wagyu for two, filet and ribeye. The chef or staff chose the apps and sides, they did tell us what they chose for our approval. Everything was excellent. Served family style. The steaks were sliced in nice sized pieces, they obviously let them sit for a moment before slicing because they kept their moisture. Everything cooked to perfection. Loved it. Will return."

"We had a reservation for 2 for our anniversary and arrived 10 minutes early. We ended up having to wait over 20 minutes for our table. We sat down and ordered a ribeye and a filet (both medium rare). The filet was cooked perfectly however the ribeye was WAY overcooked (medium well). I have had better steak on my grill from the local grocery store and didn't pay $60 a piece for it. It was definitely way over priced from what we got. We had the scallop appetizer and it was fine. Nothing special. I expected so much more from Craftsteak.
The service was worse. The only recommendation from our server was their most expensive tasting menu. He seemed to care less about us after taking our order. Not impressed with Craftsteak..."

"On my recent visit to Las Vegas, my daughter and I met at the MGM for dinner at Craftsteak. The restaurant is beautibuf, the food was perfect and the service was wonderful. We had dinner early on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy, but the service was running like clock work. The waiter explained our food options and was very helpful with the wine selections. I will definately have this restaurant on my must go there list every time I visit Vegas in the future."

"Had a 10pm reservation because we were flying in that night. Showed up 15 mins late and was told by the hostess that they couldn't accommodate us. The place was 60% empty. Complained to the manager who then sat us on the condition that we ordered our food immediately, which we did. Food was good but not as good as I have had in Vegas. Still was out of the restaurant before plenty of the other tables did. Not sure what the rush was all about."

"When we go to Vegas we always eat at Craftsteak. The service is always wonderful and their food is always consistently good. I had the halibut, that was a very large portion and quite yummy. One person got the chicken, which was very moist and wonderfully seasoned. And of course the ribeye was wonderful. They always have wonderful family style sides to order. I definitely recommend ordering the risotto. Super yummy!!"

"Heard a great deal about this place from fiends. Unfortunately your fist experience is whith the hostesses who are o. Some type of a power trip. We showed up two minutes earlier and we were told they are not ready for us. If we would like we can have a seat at the bar well before we could even look to order a drink they are comming pulling us away from the bar. Really two minutes was enough to put your guest in an uncomfortable position ping ponging around. Needless to say that started the night of wrong however the greAt service and the outstanding food made up for the ignorance of the initial meet. Yes I may go back but will alert the manager that I am comming and bypass the non helpful hostesses"

"My husband and I treat ourselves to one "fancy" meal while in Vegas (we usually drive down from Salt Lake City for the weekend). I researched several places to eat and decided on CraftSteak because of the ratings and the reputation of its"celebrity" chef founder Tom Colicchio. The atmosphere was enjoyable and most of the staff was attentive and professional. We had an acceptional experience with Alex...he took tremendous care of us and took the time to have a conversation beyond the standard cuisine discussion. Kevin was the lead server at our table and I felt as though he wasn't very patient in explaining the chef sample options and became a bit annoyed with me when I wasn't deciding on my selections quickly enough. "Craftsteak was the highlight of our trip to Vegas. You wouldn't expect such a great restaurant just steps from a food court, but don't let that stop you. We went on a Thursday night with a reservation, which is strongly recommended as many people were turned away at the door without a reservation.
All of the food was amazing... we went just as a couple and ordered too much food as we wanted to try so many things on the menu. Recommend taking a few more people so you can try many sides and not have too much food on the table!"

"Food was good, and not as pricey as I expected. We were waited on by about 4 different people who always wanted to be sure we had everything we needed, so that was nice. Slightly disappointed in the 10 oz. Filet. It was talked up to me and really wasn't anything special. It was tender and cooked to order, but just didn't have that zing I was expecting. They talk up their Wagyu meats, but I didn't want to pay an extra $20+ something for just that. Ruth Chris Filet is better in my experiences. My wife had the salmon and it was very good. The sides, starter, and dessert were all very good. The bread rolls are very tasty as well! Overall, a good experience and was pleasantly surprised with the check, but 4 stars b/c of the Filet."

"It's the small details that can make or break a dining experience, and in this case, the experience was made to be memorable. The hostess chatting with us on the walk to the table, the well scripted explanation of the menu from our head waitress.Then there was the ability to have dinner your way. We chose the three course dinner and were happy to pick our own cuts and sides.Everything was above par and the skirt steak and potato puree were stand outs!!!
The execution of the meal and the timing were perfect. The wait staff were attentive without being intrusive.
My favorite detail was the Blues music playing in the background. It completely set the ambiance, inviting me to relax and enjoy the experience."

"I've been to Craftsteak about 10 times. The food is always exceptional and so is the service, especially when Kevin is my server. I always ask for him now. Of course it is expensive, but it's a fine dining restaurant in a strip hotel, using only the finest ingredients, so of course it is. It is always my one splurge meal when I'm in Vegas."

"We were so excited to try Craft Steak, unfortunately though our dinner was a BIG disappointment; we are huge fans of Tom Colicchio and are absolute FOODIES. We ordered the raw oysters to start; next course was Caesar salad and foie gras. I ordered the scallops as a main course and my husband got the rib eye. Side courses were cauliflower and parmesan gnocchi. The oysters were average at best. We did enjoy the white anchovies in the caesar salad. Sadly, the foie gras was the highlight of the dinner. Don’t get me wrong, the gnocchi was pretty good too…not mouthwatering by any means (perhaps due to the immense amount of salt from the other dishes). The scallops and cauliflower were over seasoned with salt. We were still dehydrated the next day"

"It is great! The ambiance is just right...has a high end "steak house" feel but not so much that women can't be comfortable. Each table has multiple servers so everything is taken care of promptly...quietly...individualized. They make you feel that you are the only guests they have to take care of. The food...well...it's ALL good. This is our second visit to Craftsteak in the MGM Las Vegas and have greatly enjoyed both evenings. It's a large restaurant but one doesn't feel it or hear it...we have sat kind of in the middle of both sections and had no trouble talking with each other and enjoying the meal. Nor did we feel on display. The "sides" are quite generous so choose well and share. Just pace yourself, so you can enjoy ALL of it."

"The experience was different from my previous 3 visits for only I reason, tip talk. I sit at the bar as a solo diner because I had previously enjoyed the interaction with the bartenders, but the guests prior to me removed both copies of the credit & the bartender could only talk about the lost tip, repeat my with myself as well as with the new guests next to me. I understand gratuities are the livelihoods, but 1 & 1/2 hours of the complaining took its toll."

"Have dined there many times over the years and always enjoyed.
We ordered the braised short ribs which came to us in a differnt containerthan in the past ... arranged open and set on a layer of bones .... and was the fattiest most unpleasant meal imaginable. In the past, the ribs were served in a closed pot, were well cooked with just a hint of fat. Throughout our meal, it was nothing but fat and we were very disappointed. A huge turn off."

"the steaks were awesome. appetizers as well. it's a week we ate at the SW, capitol grille, ruths chris, and envy. very clearly this food was the best we had and impressed beyond measure. but just as surprisingly but in the bad way, the service was horrific. we were next to a waiter stand, couldn't get our wine glasses filled from the decanted magnum, always seemed to need something and ignored by a team of 3 apparent waiters. i guess you could say the bus boy was our hero garnering attention of the wait staff for us. too bad, because we take clients out in vegas 20 times a year and honestly it'd be chancy to do so again, as service undid the ambiance, chefs fine work of marvelous appetizers and steaks."

"Our new favorite steakhouse. None of the others come close. Order the set menu - so much better than our alacarte experience at Craft in NYC. Great location to eat before a concert at the MGM Arena. Only problem for us was it was super expensive."

"At our table we had the pre fixed surf and turf. The Wagu beef was excellent and cooked perfectly. The "turf" part of the meal was lobster which was nice surprise. The homemade desserts were tasty. Order the monkey bread you will not be disappointed! If you like cheesecake you have to try the passion fruit cheesecake. I am not a huge cheesecake fan but it was so light and had a nice citrus tang! Put Craftsteak on your list of must do restaurants when in Las Vegas."
