We are a Modern American Italian restaurant on Zagat's list of the Top 12 New Restaurants in Los Angeles. Led by award winning chef Bryant Wigger we have a beautiful design, a wood burning oven and grill, and serious cocktail, wine, beer and coffee programs. Our Cocktail Director was nominated for Best Bartender in America, our Wine Director is Vice President of the North American Sommelier Association, and our Beer Director was called the "Best Beer Sommelier in Los Angeles" by Los Angeles Magazine. We serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, brunch every weekend, and Late Night on Fridays and Saturdays with special Late Night cocktails, bar menu, music and more. We also hold wine dinners, beer dinners and have two beautiful areas for private events. We have free (with some restrictions) abundant parking directly behind the restaurant.
"We recently ate at this restaurant for a birthday. We had a big group and would recommend sitting in the wine room for a more private setting. The food was good and came on time. Arancini and salami platter were great, as well as the pork chop. The tiramisu was good for dessert. Great local restaurant for a tasty spin on Italian food.
One negative. I wouldn't come here for a special occasion. I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and appreciated the candle on the dessert, but was disappointed when they didn't give us at least one dessert for free. Customer service is so important and it would have been nice to receive a little more attention for our big group and appreciation for coming to celebrate a birthday at this restaurant."

"Ordered the squash blossom for appetizers which were nice-- they are filled with mozzarella instead of goat cheese. I ordered the salmon salad and the baby broccoli. The salmon portion was quite large and the salad wasn't overly dressed. The baby broccoli was crisp tender. My mother ordered the daily fish. It could be that I don't care for monk fish but I didn't care for it. My father ordered the lamb. The portion was large but most of it was fat. The ice cream and cookies for dessert was tasty as was the apple tart. The coffee was awful. Service/food was slow. My baby broccoli was forgotten and our coffee order was not correct. It seemed our server was just going through the motions and didn't care if we were having a nice experience."

"Neapolis is rapidly becoming my favorite restaurant. The cocktails are consistently delicious and creative, the wine list is outstanding, the atmosphere stunning and the food fabulous! On this visit, I had a softshell crab/squid ink pasta that was to-die-for. We also recently got a couple of take-out pizzas and the arugula salad and those were delicious as well. The best thing about this place is that it's totally a special occasion restaurant, but there are simple and affordable items on the menu as well, so you can go in a group without feeling like you're obligating anyone to a huge bill, or you can drop in on the spur-of-the-moment without feeling like you're splurging. This restaurant manages to be all things to all people!"

"Italian can be so amazing and this simply was average at best. I'm not saying that we didn't enjoy ourselves. It was just that we were expecting much better food than we had. I've had italian that just makes you crave another bite and this wasn't it."

"This was our first visit to Trattoria Neapolis, based on the recommendation of a friend who had dinner there. This was lunch and we look forward to returning for dinner. The menu is extensive, with every Italian food represented. They also have a large wine by the glass (or bottle) listing together with a number of beers on draught. It is a large restaurant, but warm and inviting."

"We stumbled across this restaurant though Open Table and will definitely be back! Artichoke heart appetizer was fantastic and the service was impeccable. The panna cotta made with Greek yogurt was also a wonderful surprise. The kitchen made a mistake on one of our side dishes, twice actually, but the waiter was very polite and insisted on making the kitchen get it right... they did and it was delicious, and the waiter took it off our bill for the inconvenience. Hey, we all mistakes, but it's how we deal with them that make all the difference. In this case, they way they handled it made us want to return, and we will."

"I had heard some good things about this restaurant... But we were very disappointed. Service was nice, although the restaurant was half empty.... Or more... It was a Monday for lunch however.... Food awful. We all ordered pasta Pomidoro. We asked if we could have Cappellini.... We're told no. We asked for bread and olive oil... We're told that is only served at dinner...( we were finally offered Focaccio)... The Pomodoro sauce was made with canned tomatoes. salad very ordinary and boring. Ordered Chocolate Gelato for dessert... Came with mediocre Girl Scout cookies and looked despicable! Don't waste your money! This one wont be around for llong!"

"Very poor dining experience. Not at all what website and reviews indicate. The caesar-type salad was greasy.Pizzas arrived cold and when remade, they were poor,at best.... Pork chop was strangely presented....a narrow chop,on the bone and presliced...Very odd. we would not recommend...a party of 5...all in agreement."

"There isn't a lot of italian food choices for an italian restaurant. they had difficulty finding our reservation which was strange. the food took a little longer than usual to get to the table. none of it was particularly memorable."

"Nice little semi-hole in the wall. Great service, good food, great ambience. The House Made Ricotta Cavatelli, Asparagus, Sauteed Mushrooms, Fontina Fonduta was wonderful and the halibut special, while a little salty on the very light breading was cooked perfect."

"This was our 2nd time at the restaurant. The first was Christmas Eve, when they were exceptionally busy and it was still quite new. On Tuesday, when we were there it was much more quiet. EVERYTHING about the evening was exceptional. We were there to celebrate a birthday with a party of 4. Everyone had something different, and all were excellent. We enjoyed their specialty cocktails, a couple of appetizers to share (meatballs and risotto balls, a couple of salads (the arugula salad was the only item I wouldn't order again -- a bit boring). Entrees consisted of the pork chop (best ever tasted), 2 pasta dishes (both excellent) and the fish special. I should note that the service was also excellent. We look forward to going back!"

"A sincere, friendly welcome by a manager vs. a hostess at check-in was unique and made me feel special. The professional waiter was superior. Squash blossom appetizer was exceptional; pizza was prepared by someone who really knew what s/he was doing, in the best oven. Gelato needs work -- a bit heavier and denser than what one finds on its home turf. Worth crossing town to visit."

"tucked away in a large shopping complex this traditional looking restaurant has lots of surprises. the menu items are varied and use unexpected ingredients that compliment each other. Everything was delicious. Portions are ample, prices moderate. Service attentive.
Only one negative comment. they serve a house made foccacio. It was too cakey for my taste and interfered with teh subtle flavors of the dishes. I asked for some plain crusty Italian bread and was told that they do not have that but that I was not the first one to ask.
I suggest that they serve that along with the focaccio."

"I hosted a small birthday gathering and it was our first time dining at Trattoria Neapolis and it was everything we could have hoped for; delicious food, excellent service and a beautiful ambiance. My entire party had a lovely time and the decor took me back to my time in Italy. I look forward to returning and we are already planning for our next function at Trattoria Neapolis! Grazie Molte!"

"a great date night for Valentine's Day with my hubby. A wonderful pre-fixe menu, and a bottle of wine, in a beautiful space, in the upstairs area away from the noise from the bar down below. A pricey dinner, but worth it for the special occasion."

"This was our 5th or 6th visit and the food was very disappointing. We took an out-of-town guest for a casual dinner. Two of us ordered a pasta entree and a third person order the NY steak. All three entrees were way too salty and not at all enjoyable. Because we had a guest, we did not complain. And, our guest, being a nice guest, did not complain. When we were driving home my husband mentioned how salty his mouth felt. And, we then we all agreed that someone went wild with the salt and other unnecessary seasonings. Too bad because it literally and figuratively left a bad taste in our mouths. Another problem is the way too expensive wine list for this type of restaurant. The cheapest bottle is $50!!!!"

"We had a salad, a pizza and pasta. All three dishes tasted the same. Very bland. We were looking forward to the homemade pasta we're disappointed. The emphasis of the restaurant appeared to be the wine list and alcohol."

"I went to Trattoria Neapolis Friday, January 25th for my best friend's birthday dinner. I ordered the braised beef short rib which I thought it sounded good on the menu. I asked the waiter if it was a good dish and he highly recommended. I was so looking forward to the short rib because I was hungry. The dish came and it was the worst I ever had. The beef was super dried...lacks flavor. I had a hard time swallowing...had to take a few sips of wine to down it. Not only was my dish was horrible, both of my friends ordered mare pasta. The sauce tasted like it came straight from a can but the manager claimed that the sauce is made fresh daily. The "rock shrimp" was TINY! The wood grilled hangar steak lacks flavor BIG time!"

"We had brunch/lunch here two days in a row. We enjoyed all of the dishes that we tried. The Bloomsdale Spinach and Margherita pizza were both very good, as were the Wild Arugula Salad and the Verdure Scramble. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and setting."
