"I took my Mom here for Mother's Day. The menu was delicious and the stand outs were the scallop risotto and the crab, salmon and avocado salad. The salmon main course was served over a bed of smashed potatoes along with a delicious dill creme sauce. Desserts were heavenly and the atmosphere was slick, modern and very comfortable. Service was generally good, although the waiter dropped the ball on a few drink orders which were delivered late into the meal. Otherwise, I love this place and would come back again anytime I'm in town."

"The food was excellent, the green spaghetti was incredible. The service was extremely efficient and friendly without being intrusive. My wife casually mentioned in passing that it was my birthday. Our shared desert came with a candle in it and we were told it was on the house because of the birthday. The waitress mentioned that they don't usually do that. I can't imagine anyone not being pleased here no matter how high their standards."

"My in-laws are very hip 70/80ish-year-olds and we wanted to take them someplace hip and special for their 50th Anniversary dinner. D.B.A. was fabulous. They called ahead of time to talk about where we would be seated and took incredible care of our table. It was a wonderful meal and the service as well as the experience was outstanding!!! "overall we had a good experience but it was quite loud and had a difficult time conversing with our dinner mates. the endive salad had a very small amount of goat cheese - was mostly greens for $12. my husband had the risotto and was a very small portion. dining mate had scallops and said they were the best she ever had. she ordered a cappuccino but waiter never brought it."

"Our group was 4 part time working Mom's of young kids. The server that we had was Jonathan......he was amazing. Every suggestion he made we took! "Two in our party ordered mussels. We both had a couple that didn't open and I had two that tasted rather fishy. I mentioned it to our server. The manager came over concerned and offered more. We declined as most of the mussels were wonderful and we enjoyed our meal. The next thing we knew we had a whole order of mussels delivered. When we protested we were told the chef insisted. We ate them all and they were wonderful. Now that is good customer service!!"

"We had a good meal at DBA , however we had other difficulties. I made reservation for wifes birthday 2 weeks in advance and was confirmed by phone on day before. My wife had two requests, dinner at DBA and window seat overlooking valley. Reservation was for 6:30. Arrived on time to be told table was not ready, go sit at bar. After 15 minutes I went to desk to express irritation as to why table wasnt ready at 6:30. Suddenly a table was ready but table was in middle of restaurant. 2 tables by window empty. Food was fine. Ordered two smaller dishes instead of one large entree. Last time I was there sizes were larger. The half size was considerably smaller than before. The manager did chase us down outside and apologized. That was considerate"

"Overall, food was good but service was lacking. The waitress was well informed and polite, but the food came out at odd times. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer, which was brought to our table. About two minutes later we received our salads, which cramped our small table. Based on that performance we were expecting our entrees at any minute as well, but it was roughly a half hour later.
Food was prepared to our expectations, but did not give us a "wow" factor."

"I was a bit underwhelmed. I loved the atmosphere although it was dark and hard to see the food presentation. I was less than thrilled with my entree. I had the grilled branzino which was recommended as a specialty. It was over sauced in my opinion. The fish was placed on a green sauce that had a hint of licorice and topped with a barbecue sauce. It was ok, but not something I would try again. I sampled my friend's green spaghetti and it was outstanding. Loved the 21 vegetable salad but feel like $10 is a lot for a salad when there is no other option for absimple green salad. The server was attentive, but kept wanting to fill our already half full wine glasses. I will go back and try again."

"Our group of 4 was able to experience the Chef's Table in the kitchen last night (3/16/13). We decided we wanted to go with the Chef's Tasting Menu which was 5 courses paired with wine. What an unbelievable experience! From the moment we walked in the front door, we were made to feel welcome. The staff was outstanding! Friendly, welcoming, knowledgable and willing to answer any questions and go above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our evening. Each course was exploding with flavors! The Chef spent time with us out of his busy evening to explain each course and go over the ingredients. What a great opportunity to watch him work and create his magical presentations. If you ever have the opportunity to do this, do it!"

"The food was superb! My salad was easily one of the Top 10 Salads of All Time. Each item was thoughfully prepared, fresh, flavorful and original. The only problem was believing such a great restaurant exists in Akron, Ohio!"

"Excellent food and service. Quite pricey, but in this case it's true - you get what you pay for. This was our second time at DBA, and once again, we really enjoyed our evening. We won't go often however, because with tip we spent $222. We split an appetizer and a dessert, plus had two cocktails, two dinners, a moderately-priced bottle of wine,and two espressos."

"Our children had tried D.B.A. recently and we have been to Dante's in Tremont on a couple of occasions with great success. Got lucky with a last minute resrvation was made, Friday morning for Friday evening. Friendly greeting and immediate seating was an indictaion of the quality of the service for the entire night. Salads and entrees were oustanding, great wine list at very reasonable prices. View of the valley is perfect. Not sure we would try the desserts again, because we are definetly going back."
