Bella Roma
We are located in Sarasota on the beautiful north side of Siesta Key, just one block from the beach. We are a family owned restaurant where everything is made fresh daily. From rustic bread and focaccia to our fabulous pasta, fresh seafood and veal.

Named a top 500 restaurant in the state of Florida from 2003-10 by Florida Trend Magazine, Bella Roma also sports a nice wine selection (available by the glass or by the bottle) along with a children's menu and daily specials. "First we were confused because we couldn't find it, though we had visited here some time ago. The restaurant has changed its name. Now it's Flavio's and they've added on another room and a brick oven for pizza.
When the wine came it wasn't the year stated on the menu but my husband accepted it anyway. That was a mistake. He said the wine cost as much as our entrees and was only a 2 year old red. He was unhappy for the rest of the evening though it was his own fault. I do think that the wine server should have mentioned the discrepancy and perhaps asked if he wanted to make another selection. This situation ruined the evening."

"We had a party of 5. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. The food was served relatively quickly and hot. Each of the diners enjoyed their meals. Would definitely go again."

"Our waiter was very good but a second female server was rude when I asked for a fresh knife after our appetizer. The owner was dressed like he was taking out the trash and kept fussing over a chair...no smiles to be found on this guy. Food was average at best...I am Italian so I know good Italian food. After our dinner we promptly scratched plans to take upcoming guests there. I would advise not going here....the owner does not seem to care about repeat business."
