"My wife & needed a quiet evening together, & we got it! Our food was fantastic (highly recommend the crab tower and duck dishes!). Service was perfect. Always there when we needed her but not all over us. We'll be back!!"

"We always have a wonderful dinner here, and love that it's byob. The patio is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner for two. The service is top notch and good is amazing. We love the ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes as well as the filet as our favorite dishes."

"Food was all well prepared and thoughtfully presented. Great option for a restaurant of this quality that they allow you to BYOB. But be aware-the kitchen is small and can be easily overwhelmed. Just be prepared if you're there in the main dinner hour, some wait for your food may be involved. But also keep in mind as you wait, that for an $8 corkage, you're able to sip on your $100 bottle of wine that would be $300 elsewhere on a wine list and you'll be happy with your plate when it arrives."

"My book club met there for dinner and we were seated outside as we had requested. Everything was great. We were not rushed at all and we had a leisurely, lovely dinner. The food and service were great."

"More restaurants like this that provide a superior dining experience while charging a fair corkage fee to bring in your own wine. The food is inventive with unique ingredients and the waitstaff explains the dishes in a thorough enthusiastic manner. We enjoy and collect great wine so being able to pair it with wonderful food is a treat. We'll be back."

"I made reservations for 6 people (who turned out to be 7). The staff was very kind in helping us fit in another person at the last minute in a VERY crowded place. The food was great and the service was even better.
Tip: If the weather's nice, sit outside."

"The crab tower was not very fresh. Pork chop with prosciutto was overcooked and dry. A very loud table of 10+ in the other room made for a ruckus atmosphere."

"The three people in my party each had a different fish entree. We shared tastes and agreed all three were delicious - fresh, flavorful & cooked just right. We also enjoyed the wasabi mashed potatoes & home made pastas - one with lobster & one with butternut squash. Calamari was light & crispy. All in all a very good meal in pleasant comfortable atmosphere"

"We really enjoyed our dining experience and were pleased to find that they now serve wines by the bottle and glass! Having only brought a bottle of red it was nice to purchase a white to enjoy with the lighter appetizer we chose."

"Enjoyed the atmosphere. Restaurant staff was super - we sat a long time enjoying the wine we brought and the staff did not pester us (like I have experienced at other restaurants). Food was very food - I enjoyed the Pear Salad and Filet - desserts were also great - Brownie for my date and creame brule for me!"

"Cute place with good food. Melvin is an excellent waiter. We like to be able to take our own wine. Scallops with butternut squash was good, and Panna Cotta was excellent. Special of sea bass was $45 which I thought was too much."

"Great to have a place to bring our own wine and have excellent food. The tomato salad with green tomatoes was fabulous. Crab stack was delicious..which it had been a taller stack. Loved the touch of the red Himalayan salt. Tuna and sturgeon done just right. Went there before going to the theater and had lots of time. Location is excellent to get into downtown quickly."

"The ambiance is okay but I would give the place a makeover. From the other reviews, I was a little disappointed. The food was good but not fabulous. My wife is an amazing cook so I guess I'm spoiled. I expect food that's better than we can make ourselves and it really wasn't. The scallops were good and cooked well but for the price I expected more. It's basically 4 normal sized scallops with risotto and chucks of squash. The filet also decent but no "wow" factor...just a steak on a bed of greens"

"Located between near-in Memorial, River Oaks, Montrose and the downtown Theater District, Lucio's BYOB & Grill is a great place to grab a bite before a show, the opera or the symphony. I was especially impressed with the Vegetable Terrine as a delicious vegetarian option. The Tuna Sashimi was a wonderful, clean starter. Great food and a great location!"

"We've been to Lucio's a number of times and have never been disappointed. I ordered the cod special and it was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the crab tower and a braised lamb appetizer - both were tasty and beautifully presented. We love that we can bring our own wine and enjoy amazing cuisine at the same time."

"Lucio’s BYOB & Grill is a New American inspired BYOB, located on Taft Street near the heart of Houston. Owner John Sjoberg, and chef Brett Maesch and his team prepare a menu focused on the season, respecting French traditions along with classic and modern techniques to build a dining experience that evokes entertainment, excitement, and satisfaction. We love the charming service and recommend the beautiful patio for dining al fresco for the perfect romantic evening."

"We enjoyed Lucios very much! We were a little confused with the BYOB part of the name b/c they have a wine list. Turns out, you bring a bottle of wine or whatever beer you want and they will uncork it for you. (so cheepos like me save a little money and have really good wine with dinner!) The outdoor seating is very nice, great atmosphere! The food was very good, the scallops and the beef carpaccio were our faves. Our waiter was very attentive but not around too much and was quick with menu suggestions."
