"I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We shared a delicious order of truffle fries. He had a fabulous Buckeye martini. For the main course he had a steak trio special, which he said was excellent. I had salmon duxelles, which was also good. Our server was a pro. We had a yummy, intimate experience."

"Ken Stewarts Lodge tucked in Bath Township Ohio is like walking into a (glamourous) old time lodge in the woods mixed with oppulence in their menu and an outstanding wine list (try the Camus). Their servers spend a long time getting to know their menu and are prepared to share their knowledge with you. The decor is dark, cozy and delightfully different from most fine dining. The outside dining is like a summer party and you get to experience some beautiful Ohio skies and be warmed by a fire if it's chilly while having some of Ohio's best cuisine. It was a pleasure dining here."

I don't like that the food items, such as a different salad choice, is upcharged. Prices seem higher than they should be for the location.

"I decided on the spur of the moment to take my daughters (ages 7 and 9) out for a fancy dinner. (I should note that I mistakenly made the reservation for the *next* night; when I got to the restaurant they handled it with finesse, and quickly found us a table that night!)
What can I say about the food other than it was fantastic as always. When you go to KSL, the menu is just a starting point. You really have to wait and hear the specials, and 'WOW', what a list of specials that night. The beef two ways (beef carpaccio and beef bone marrow) was AMAZING. The kids enjoyed the truffle fries, plain penne pasta, and crab legs! For dessert we had the S'mores, which we cook right at the table. Fun!
I highly recommend KSL for nice evening out"

"The food and environment was great as always! Service was a total disappointment to say the least. After 15 min sitting at the table I had to find our waiter who was very disinterested in our table. In the middle of reciting the specials he left to deliver food to another table and assured us they all work together to get hot food out at the same time, ironically enough he made 3 trips himself to deliver our entree at different intervals. After our salad course, I had to again, go find our waiter to continue on with things and get another bottle of wine, which was pulled from the back by an asst mgr or sommelier who came from the back spinning the bottle of wine in his hand. That was a hard $425 bill to pay based on the service!"

"This was a great experience. My wife and I went there the day before Valentines Day 2013 because we both worked on V-Day and wouldn't be able to go out that night. I told the restaurant when I confirmed the reservation to expect a flower delivery as well. Without asking, they seated my wife and I in a room by ourselves next to the fireplace, with the flowers on the table; how special was that.
The food was incredible. The crusted salmon I had was unbelievably flaky, the asparagus was crisp and flavored to perfection, the au gratin potatoes were just as good.

"If I could ignore the food, this would be a five-star experience without a question, but sadly, the most important part of any dining experience was severely lacking. My wife and I both ordered steaks (her a filet, me a delmonico), and both, while cooked to our request (mine was medium) were dry and tough. I'd ordered a baked potato for a side, and it came out cooked, but cold. Sadly, I've had better steaks and sides at national chains than what I'd experienced here. If the food was better, we'd definitely go back, as all other aspects of the evening were exceptional."

"Ken Stewart's Lodge is one of the best places to eat in Akron. The food is outstanding and the ambiance is lovely and rustic and yet ideal for that special occasion. It's truly what people mean when they say casual elegance.
One of the best features of the Lodge is the fact that they have several dining rooms of different sizes. Each room has larger tables for groups in the middle as well as booths along the side for a more intimate meal.
My suggestion is that you request the kind of table or ambiance you want when you make your reservation. If you'd like a quiet romantic dinner - be sure to request a booth in a quiet room."

"This was out first visit and will not be the last. The atmosphere is rustic and casual yet the service was professional and prompt. My wife and I arrived early and enjoyed a wonderful crab stuffed portabella and enjoyed a nice glass of wine from their great list. Dinner specials were great and the food arrived in good time and prepared as ordered.
The ambience is perfect for a family night out or a romantic evening. Table placement was good. You never felt that you were eating with the adjacent group. The staff was attentive and professional yet warm. Coat check and valet are perfect for the frigid evening.
We now know why friends and family race about the Lodge."
