"In all this restaurant was ok. The food was great but my only concern I had a reservation for 7:30 I didn't get seated until 8. I just think they need a better system because it makes no sense to make a reservation if you still have to wait when you get there."

"We went to Passione Della Cucina for the first time on Friday night. We had a spacious booth and really enjoyed our conversation. The waiter was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. The ambiance was similar to upscale restaurants but the prices were moderate. The food was very good--loved the walnut, beet & goat cheese salad. I highly recommend Passione for a great affordable evening out."

"I made 8:30 reservations for six a month in advance. My party was seated at 10pm. I will let the host's three choicest comments give you a feel for how the evening progressed:
- "Yeah we're really busy tonight, so you're just going to have to wait like everyone else" - If you can't honor the reservations, than why take them?
- "Lady, why don't you just go get a drink at the bar?" - Words said to my face without irony when I asked at 9pm when my party was going to get seated.
- "Finally, they're leaving" - Words directed at my party when we finished our meals at 11:30pm, three hours after our reservations. We should be feeling guilty, right?

"Passione is an excellent restaurant that we have returned to 4 times now. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food has been delicious each and every time we've gone. "Good service except for the wait time between courses, so don't go to this restaurant if you are in a hurry. Food is good, though not exceptional. Once the restaurant is full it is very noisy and I found myself almost yelling in order to have a conversation."

"We have been here a few times and the food is always excellent! Great extensive menu with something for everyone. Always a bit noisy but that's because it's always crowded. Service has always been good but this time our waitress seemed a bit distracted but again it was a busy night."

"Overall the place is fairly good. Expect to wait at least half hour even with a reservation on a busy eve. No one greets you at the reception when u check in its almost as if they're the ones doing you a favor. Place is kind of compact, tables are way too close together almost diff to have a private conversation. Service was fairly good by our waitress she was friendly. Food was surprisingly good considering our overall experience . Menu was decent. So good food but on a busy nite don't expect a quiet romantic dinner."

"Very busy Saturday night at restaurant and upon 7:45 pm arrival we had a short wait before being seated a lush booth. Our server, Jimmy, did his best to hustle and was quite charming and apologetic but we waited quite awhile before he could even take a drink order. After a rough start the rest of the evening was smooth sailing and the food was delicious- totally made up for the slow start! We were never rushed from table and lingered long into the evening. Now I know why place was so crowded earlier. Worth it...will go back. Hope they increase staff for those busy hours."

"We have been to this restaurant several times and each time we forget about how awful the service is. Too bad because the food is very good and plentiful. When we first arrived, there was no one to greet us, or the couple in front of us, or the next three couples behind us, for almost 10 minutes. When the maitre'd did come out it was if he was doing us a favor. They did honor our reservation and we were seated within 5 minutes of being greeted (total 15 minute wait). We were seated and two different waiter took our drink orders after another ten minutes. After 25 minutes the soda, one glass of wine and an iced tea still hadn't come. The waiters had "forgotten" and the drinks had been sitting at the bar all that time."

"We have been to this restaurant many times. Time to take a break. Very noisy and then add an accordion player to the mix and you couldn't hear yourself think. The waitress was frazzled and an order for no cheese on a dish came with cheese - kitchen's fault."

"The appetizer was delicious. I shared the fried mozzarella with my wife. I enjoyed the veal Milanese. The balsamic glaze was perfectly drizzled on. My wife had the filet of sole. The place is beautiful and the food is always tasty. As always, the service was good. Our waitperson came by several times to check up on us."

"Passione has a rustic tuscan feel to it. They accept reservations which is a big plus. I felt that the wine list was limited but managed to drink the only pinot noir offered. The salad was smaller than expected but the mixed greens paired with mushrooms, walnuts, mini fried goat cheese with balsamic dressing was quite good. My friends seemed to enjoy the Naples Seafood appetizer. Pasta Emilio and Paccheri seafood pasta paradiso were both quite good. The only disappointment for me was the rigatoni alla vodka. While the flavor of the sauce was fine. The thick somewhat pasty consistency was what I would expect from a pizzeria. For a better vodka sauce I still prefer Cafe Baci's."

"Waiter service was very good. Food was also good. We Arrived on time and the person in charge of seating asked if my entire party was here, I answered that they were parking their cars in the crowded parking lot. when my 86 year old aunt and her son came in, my husband asked the same person if we could sit right away, because our aunt could not stand too long. the answer was "why didn't you leave her home'. My husband told him that his remark was very rude. He did say he was sorry later, but the damage was already done."

"Hard to judge since our waiter was the most inefficient waiter I ever had! We waited 45 minutes for our appetizer, which came out cold, but the waiter was no where to be found. We were finally poured water which was warm my husband's birthday which the owner asked me if we got his cake yet, was never brought out . I think that the food can be good but since nothing came out hot from beginning to end, it's hard to judge- our friends said they would never go back, I'm not sure if its just too busy on Saturday night and maybe they don't have enough help"

"Went to a private party at Passione week before personal reservation. Party was excellent -- fine food, top notch service, good ambiance. As a result, we scheduled a dinner there the following Saturday. The evening was disappointing.Reservation led to a table in the pizzeria area. That was tantamount to being banished to Siberia. Service was distracted, communication minimal, ancillary wait staff of marginal assistance. We were clearly second class citizens to those in the main dining area.Also, noise level interfered with conversation. I will not be hurrying back."

"Made a reservation and was able to successfully skip the long line so they could accommodate the reservation time. However, we were seated in an "overflow" area which didn't contain the same ambiance as the rest of the restaurant and the servers forgot about us most of the night.
The food was delicious but if offered to wait longer for a regular seat or to take a "not so good seat now". then wait the extra time."

"We frequent Emilio's in Commack quite often, so whenever we are near the Roosevelt Field Mall we stop in at Passione. The food is as good as Emilio's, we had lunch, Paninis and salads. The decor of Passione is what sets it apart from Emilio's, more restaurant than pizzeria, but the same great food. Our Server Jimmy was great, nice kid. If you are near the mall or at a function at Hofstra, I highly recommend for lunch or dinner."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish! The valet parking was great as it was a rainy night! I commend the front desk for adhering to our reservation time even though it was an extremely busy Saturday night! The food was superb and the drinks were fantastic! We will be back with a very large family party in a week. We are looking forward to sharing our new favorite restaurant with them all!"

"Our party waited 40 minutes to be seated - we had a 7PM reservation! Thank goodness the food was very good and that kind of made up for the wait.. The noise level, however, was unbearable..we had a very hard time hearing each other! If it weren't for our waiter Emilio, we probably would have left. I don't know if our friends, who we invited to dinner, will be back."

"We really enjoyed the food. Everything was so good nothing to complain about. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. The drinks were great. We had a very enjoyable evening. We were not rushed just sat until we were ready to leave. We will definitely be back. You should try this place it's great."

"well my reservation was at 7:30, they did not seat us until 8:15.....never even sent a drink or anything...to the table as a courtesy gesture for being so late to sit us. Food was good, but probably wouldnt go back as when I asked the matre'd how much longer he had a major attitude...sorry its too busy of a place but dont get angry at the 45 minute wait of the costomer.....who had a reservation."

"Actually cancelled a long-standing reservation we had at another restaurant to go here for Valentine's Day because we usually love it so much -- not this time. Food was mediocre at best (overcooked, rubbery chicken, stale bread among other things). When we walked in there were no fewer than 3 tables for 2 along the wall where we always sit. We asked for one and were flat-out refused and told that "tables were assigned" and so were given a horrible table instead in the middle of the floor in the path of the waiters where we were bumped into and shuffled all night. One of those tables remained empty the entire time we were there. Won't be returning again any time soon."

"The host was surly. Pointed to our table instead of walking us to it. Don't know if they were understaffed due to the snow but the servers were overworked and the kitchen was backed up. We waited 1 hour for our food Food is edible but nothing special. The restaurant is beautiful"

"We had dined here for my sister's birthday and everything was amazing! All the food we ordered was perfect in quantity and absolutely delicious. Above that, the service was outstanding. Our waiter Tyler was energetic, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. The ambiance was beautiful too! This now one of our favorite places on Long Island for Italian and we will definitely return again and again and again!"

"This was our 5th or 6th visit to Passione. This visit was not as patron friendly as previous visits were. You need to watch the wine list since they offer what they don't have and then do nothing to appease the diner. We'll be taking some time away from Passione after this experience."

"The food is consistently very good but I would not recommend going on a Saturday night. The back room at the far end of the bar was very noisy and the staff could not handle the crowd. The entrees did not come out until 2 hours after we sat down."
