'Emilio's is a real hometown favorite among locals who stop in for a quick slice of pizza to go, or to sit at one of the high-top tables in the dining room and enjoy freshly prepared dishes like fried calamari, eggplant rolatini, and grilled chicken parmigiana. ' -Commack Patch
"It was a last minute decision and I'm glad we decided to go. From the outside it looked to me like a typical Pizzaria but once I stepped in and was seated I knew I was about to experience some true Italian dining. The service was tremendous, the people were way too kind and the food that followed was just as good. I was very impressed that they were able to put together such elaborate dishes in what seemed to be a more casual setting. I now have a new local spot to go to."

"We arrived at 7:00 on a busy Saturday night, but since we had reservations so we got seated pretty quick. We waited no more than 10 mins. Overall food was very good and the chicken very tender and fresh tasting. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the bread basket that came was limited and pretty hard..definitely not their usual delicious mix of breads. Other than that, fine."

"Went with my family of 5 Saturday, May 11,2013. Three of us ordered entrees, two had pizza. Entrees delivered, no pizza. Three minutes later, we flag down a busboy since our waiter was no where to be found and the place was now insanely busy ( is this the only pizza/restaurant in Commack??)...waiter comes, says pizza is coming...we are trying to he off from eating since its rude to eat if not everyone has been served...anyway, literally 10mins later, the pizza arrives ( after I got up and asked the host/manager )...we got to eat enjoy cold food!! Barely an apology, $150 for two apps, three entrees, 2 slices, 2 glass wine and seltzer...never again!!!!"

"I've been there before, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by the food. Their homemade pasta is amazing. The service, however, wasn't at the same level as the food. I had a reservation for 7:45pm. I arrived extremely early - at 7pm - and so I expected to wait. When I checked in, the host told me to check back in 20. After 20-25 minutes (so about 7:20-7:25), I checked back in and was told I would be seated very soon. A half hour went by, and I checked back in again. This was after 7:45 - my reservation time. I was told I was the next name being called... I wasn't. I was finally seated around 8:15pm. I was very early for my reservation, but that doesn't excuse an hour and 15 minute wait."

"Terrible experience, had drinks spilled, orders were incorrect, waiter was clueless. Complained and all was corrected. Have eaten there in the past with no problems. Food was good. Will go back."

"Emilios was a great find. I really enjoyed the meal. All of my party had a great time. We made a reservation on-line and when we arrived the table was available. The place was very busy yet still managed to have our table. A superb restaurant."

"If you live in Commack or the surrounding areas, you probably already know about this neighborhood go to restaurant. There have been very few times where I have gone in there and had no wait and that includes when I just run in for a few of their amazing salad slices, but I can assure you, the wait is worth it. The homemade rigatoni dishes are one of my favorites as is the Chicken Marsala Entree. Forego the side of pasta and get the side salad with house balsamic. The side pasta is nothing to rave about but the house balsamic is great! Plus it's a healthier option. The beet, walnut and goat cheese salad is a must. The candied walnuts and the beets make it a sweet salad, but it is balanced well with the goat cheese. Reserve on OpenTable!"

"Sergio was an amazing server and always ask for him every time I go. One of the cleanest well run establishments on Long Island. You are doing yourself an injustice if you eat Italian food anywhere else"

"Was given a gift certificate to Emilio's. Hadn't been there in several years. Now I remember why. Ten minutes to be served a glass of water. The Filet of Sole and Shrimp Delicato was a very soggy francaise, with a sauce having no lemon flavor whatsoever. The risotto surprise was not even made with risotto rice, and was way too salty. The waiter argued that risotto rice is long grain, when in actuality, arborio is short grain, and carnaroli is medium grain. The spinach side was the tastiest component of the dish. My wife's Rigatoni Theresa was made with pappardelle, as requested, but no way was it "fresh-made" pasta, as we were told. It actually stuck together in several parts of the dish. For that they charged an additional $3.95."

"Food is always well above average. And priced right .great simple creations like wedding salad ( excellent salad w/ meatballs )and mozzarella ball pyramid. Homemade pastas are the best and the fish is always fresh and cooked perfectly"

"Really delicious food...and if you are over twenty one the bartender makes a martini called Miami Vice which is unbelievable. I think her name is Deb. Our favorite dish is the Emilio's signature pasta. Only bad thing, tables are really close unless you get a booth, especially in the main dining area. You can't really have conversation without the tables too our left and right hearing your discussion. But after a few Miami vices, it just doesn't matter!"
