"Service was excellent, the food was not. Our only good food item from our dinner as a couple was the Ahi Tower, an appetizer that consists of tuna sashimi atop avocado and other veggies with a base of rice. It arrives as a tower and the server mixes it up like a salad for you. Very tasty. The salmon skin hand roll was also pretty tasty. However, the two rolls we had were mediocre to bad. We left both half eaten. We ordered the Lava roll (baked scallops atop a California roll) and the Rainforest Roll. Neither will make it on our list to try again. We will return to Blue Fish as it is in our neighborhood. Hope next visit brings better food!"

"You must try the ahi tuna tower - I personally could eat it as my meal, but if you're nice and willing to share it is a great starter. I've been 4 times and each visit has been better than the previous. I typically stick to specialty rolls (just so you know my menu bias).
Usually good drink specials make this a hopping social scene."

"And the open table reservation asked if there was any special request. I noted that this was a birthday for my wife. The restaurant had the reservation they must've just ignored. We were going to be seated in the bar area so we requested a different table and when we did the hostess frowned .We mentioned to the hostess that there was going to be an additional person joining us and our party . She forgot to communicate this to the waiter. When the waiter came over introduced himself, I asked him for an extra placesetting. It took three more request before he brought the placesetting. The food was good and very flavorful. I had read the reviews on yelp and found it to be a place worth checking out."

"I would not say the food was horrible, but I would not recommend this place to others. The rolls bland and the appetizer our waiter recommended were obviously made in advance. I'm sure they had a prize for the waiter who sold the most of it. The atmosphere was the worst part about it. It was like they stuck a sushi bar, cheap tables and neon lights in a warehouse."

"Their sushi is amazing. Their portions of fish are larger than most other sushi places. It's very loud and dark, but it's very energetic. Their dessert selection is also delectable. I've been here a couple of times as I love it- especially since its aShort walk from my home. I will continue to come here if the food is the same. It's definitely one of my favorite sushi places. I have recommended plenty of times to friends."

"Food was solid, but the service was awful. We kept having to flag down our waiter, I don't think he ever came by once on his own. I know that sushi roll take awhile and generally come out in waves, but why did 3 of our salads come out 10 min after the sushi rolls??? That didn't make any sense. Then we took up the Yelp offer for free ice cream and that took another 10-15 min, mostly just a lot of waiting around. Made for conversation, but some of us were hungry!"
