"The chicken and waffles were good; however, I would recommend a bit less garlic in the chicken batter. The mushroom Benedict was great and the salad that came with it had an excellent dressing. I had the side of grits and fell in love. Can't wait to try their shrimp and grits entree."

"My husband and I visited Creme for the very first time, on May 5th to celebrate "Cinco de Mayo." We had a fantastic experience! We were seated promptly, as soon as we arrived, and within minutes, out waiter was at the table explaining the specials for the day. I ordered a French martini and sent instructions to the bartender how to make it (I'm particular about my French martinis!) She very graciously prepared it to perfection. Within minutes our food arrived. The chicken and waffles were delicious and my husband enjoyed the eggs benedict fajita. The extra treat was the wonderful live jazz that added to the ambiance and brought everything together "scrumptiously," Will definitely be back, and we're bringing friends and family when we do!!"

"This is a charming spot for brunch. I know this restaurant space from various previous incarnations. The food was very good (wild mushroom benedict), although a bit pricey since everything is a la carte. Overall, a decent spot for pre-matinee brunch."

"Food was very good, but the wait a staff didn't do anything special, although with the four square app we did get a free dessert for checking in for the first time which was very nice!"

"Great all around. Nice friendly crowd. I liked the Sunday afternoon thing. not far from the Walters Art Museum. Parking was no problem on the street and right next door as well. Food was unique, exotic, highly seasoned, and tasty."

"This was our first time at Creme, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a group of 4, and ordered the Caesar salad, Shrimp and Grits, Maryland Jumbo Crab Cakes, Bourbon and Teriyaki Glazed Salmon, Strawberry Shortcake, and Not Yo Mamma's Banana pudding. All of the food was outstanding, and we also enjoyed the warm cornbread that was brought to the table. It was a treat to meet the chef after the meal."

"Food was excellent! Service just as good. We arrived an hour early for lunch on a busy Sunday two weeks ago. Without hesitation, the staff seated us. The food came in a timely manner. And the bottomless Mimosas ..... well, the kept coming! Awesome, experience. I will return!!!"

"We went to Creme for the Easter brunch. We were a group of 6 and we had a great time! The food was delicious, service excellent, atmosphere pleasant and friendly, and the live piano/bass jazz duo completed this amazing experience. We are very pleased and will certainly recommend Creme to everyone we know."

"Our first time at this fine restaurant was for Easter brunch, and it was wonderful! The bottomless Mimosas were especially fun. Chicken and waffles, quiche, shrimp and grits - all excellent. Desserts - banana pudding, coconut cake, chocolate mousse - outstanding! Prices are reasonable, live music was great, and so, we will return."

"We loved the food! I had the Shrimp & Grits-delicious! The staff was friendly but some seemed confused. The Chef came out to greet us, which was great. The hostess opened the door for us as we left-nice. My only complaint was that, while our waiter was nice, he seemed frazzled throughout our time there and the place was not that busy (even though it was Easter Sunday). What really got me was that after taking our check, our waiter went around to the bar area, checked to make sure that I left him a tip (which I did-20%) and then never came back to say goodbye or to thank us/invite us to come back. This really made me angry. I even waited a good five minutes and nothing! He even walked by again and did not say a word :("

"The food was worth the wait--and it was a LONG wait for the food! The waiter was very sweet...I think, however, that he should have mentioned that the mimosas were bottomless. At first he asked if we'd like another--we said "no". When a different waiter came along and just filled our glasses, we figured it was because the food was taking forever. None of the wait staff seemed to notice or apologize for the wait--and neither did the manager, to whom we casually mentioned the length of time it took for the food to arrive. She did say they were "busy"--the place was not even half full! (The slow kitchen may explain the reason why they believe half-full is "busy"!!) I know: good food takes time, but a 45+ minute wait can't be good for business"

"Food is great, reasonably priced and quaint atmosphere. My only concern is that they prefer you make a reservation regardless if the place is busy or not!!! Edward was my waiter both times I visited and he's a pleasure. Leo was my waiter at brunch and he was so adorable.... The salmon hash was recommended and I was delicious! I highly recommend Creme and will be back again and again."

"Visited Creme recently on a Sunday before a show. We had reservations, but they overbooked or were short-staffed because they told us seating would take place a 1/2 hour later. This was not acceptable as we had time constraints. We asked if we could be seated at the bar and was told yes by the hostess. The bartender was clearly caught off guard when we sat down and we witnessed an exchange of words. Long story short, the service was awful. The bartender was catering to the restaurant AND the bar, which was clearly too much for him. As far as the food, the salmon hash dish was delicious. The quiche, however, was the worst I've ever had, overdone and without much egg. Weird. Quiche is so easy to do. Not sure about returning."

"I enjoyed my green eggs and ham brunch dish with coconut creme cake for dessert. The live jazz performance was wonderful but too loud. Our waiter could have been more attentive but the restaurant seemed to be short staffed. I would definitely return to the restaurant again."

"The food at this restaurant is excellent, however they are very slow. This is due to there being very little help which is understandable as well since there is really no crowd. They need a gimmick to get people in the door and business would be booming. The food is def. worth it."

"Would not return. The food was ok, but nothing special, and definitely not as good as the prices and descriptions made it out to be. The service was ok, but nothing special. The worst was that the restaurant was deserted. There were only about 4 tables occupied, and we were there at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Everything about the place was odd."

"Let me start this review with the statement that I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant! The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant was very beautiful and I heard nice things before I ate here.
That being said, my experience here was less than satisfactory. From the minute my date and I entered Creme we were greeted with a very unpleasant and unwelcoming hostess. We were 5 minutes late to our reservation and apologized immediately, (the parking was terrible) however the hostess rudely quipped that reservations "were not jokes" and that we would have to wait an additional 10 minutes. I could understand this being a big deal if the restaurant was packed, and they needed the table. This was not the case however, from the time we arri"

"This is my second time here. It is something about the atmosphere that attracts me. The food is excellent and the service great. I think that on Valentime's Day the kitchen was a little backed up, but the hot cornbread kept us at bey."

"Visited during resturant week. Ordered the meat and potatoes. When my meal arrived, the meat consisted of a five inch bone with less than two inches of meat. The sweet potato square was dry and unflavorful."

"Dined for restaurant week. They had excellent menu choices. Picked shrimp n grits. The shrimp were sauteed simply. The grits were rather thick. The flavor was average. The chicken and waffles on the the other hand were delicious. They were thick , soft and dense. The wings were also delicious. The pink lady cocktail was the best I had in a long time. Hibiscus tea, vanilla and other ingredients."

"Was impressed by the space, but less by the food and the service. Understand it was Restaurant Week and the staff may have been overwhelmed by the Sat night crowd, but it took too long to get the entrees out to our table. Waitstaff was accomadating by bringing more cornbread and drinks, but that only goes so far. Mushroom app was outstanding....shrimp risoto was missing something...lamb chop entree as very good. Kudos on the parsnips."

"Was reallly not a great experience. My food wasn't prepared right and was sent back and returned the same as it was. The server pretty much said tuff luck. I took a friend and his food wasn't the greatest either. So pretty much paid $70.00 for nothing. I will definitely not return there again"

"I tried to go to Creme last year for restaurant week but they had a fire the day I was supposed to go. I am glad I did not give up on visiting the restaurant. I was thoroughly please with my dining experience overall. One thing, the portion for some of the items were small. I did go during 2013 restuarant week and I am not sure if those are the standard portions. I will definitely go back regardless because the wait staff was excellent."
