"Setting, service and esp. Food was great! Rockfish and salmon were ordered by all, everyone raved about the entrees. It was seafood night, and the crab cakes and oysters were also so good. Very impressed with restaurant."

"Made reservation for a group of 10 at the last minute. Everything else downtown was all booked. Our experience was excellent. The staff was flexible as some guests arrived late. Food was delicious. Surf and turf and raw bar were big fans of the group. For a hotel restaurant this is aces."

"Haven't been to this restaurant before but will certainly be back again! All of the parts of the meal, including service, were outstanding (Alexandra was the server). We started with duck sliders which were incredible. Brioche buns which were perfectly toasted with pulled duck. Crunchy on the outside and delectable inside. Wow! One of us had the Rockfish which was excellent. The other had the Bison Short Ribs which were fall of the bone delicious. For dessert had (talk about indulging) both the poached pear with salted caramel ice cream and the bread pudding with mint hard sauce. Outstanding in every respect."

"Menu seemed to be still in the 'fall' category and it is April! Took 7 minutes for wait staff to acknowledge we had been seated. Staff didn't seem to be collaborating."

"Interesting and well prepared food in a comfortable atmosphere. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Don't worry that this is a hotel restaurant...it's not your typical one."

"Service was incredible - very efficient, friendly and available. The bloody Mary was unusual but *extremely* good, and the corn bread was the BEST I've ever had (could I have the recipe, please?!). The rest of the food was unimpressive. I ordered "lump crabmeat on spring greens with drawn butter and remoulade sauce." No remoulade was provided until I asked, and the crabmeat had no flavor - frozen? My daughter ordered crab cakes, which came beautifully cooked, but had NOTHING else with it, except a tiny bit of greens. At least I got toast rounds with mine! Pricing was realistic."

"This restaurant is in a hotel lobby and actually feels like part of the hotel. The place has a modern, efficient feel to it. It would be a good place for an office lunch or dinner, or an event."

"We have really started to like this place for an anytime, drop-in spot. Nice bar, friendly bartenders, great apptizers, very nice happy hour. This night we dropped in for dinner with good friends who got married that day! We had a lot of fun, a great celebration and a great meal. Grilled artichokes and wedge salad are favorites! The surf and turf was excellent. Our friend ordered a steak & did have to send it back; it was overdone and looked thin. But, his replacement surf and turf was perfect. We'll be back again and again."

"Good place that has very fair pricing. Less than a Ruth Chris and more than a national chain. Food and service was great with nice decor and attentive wait staff. This place should be busier than it was, but probably because it being located in the Lowes, it gets the "hotel restaurant" review. I will be going back to this place."

"Outstanding. Jordan our server was very knowledgable and took the extra step to make sure we had a good time. We had the Rockfish and the Bison shortrib, which were amazing! Brussel Sprouts and the Butternut Squash Risotto are musts."

"In addition to my observations that the food was good and the service very good, I would add that menu prices were reasonable by Annapolis standards. Overall, West was a very good choice for my family."

"Pleasantly surprised to find such a great place to eat inside of a hotel. Parking is a breeze, which can be a nightmare in Annapolis. Food is awesome. Waitstaff excellant. We will def. going back soon - in fact looking forward to it."

"We went during restaurant week in Annapolis and it was GREAT! I worked in hotels in DC / Balt. for years and never experienced dining in a hotel (Westin) like this! The ambiance and decor are spectacular. The open, warm feeling of the wood and stone with attractive lighting made for a wonderful experience. We had the regular menu to choose from also but went for the three course restaurant week. My artichoke was a bit too smokey for me but that might be just my preference. The steaks were done very well at "medium" with accompanying fries. Our desserts were all wonderful. The other two said their meals were also very good! We'll definitely go back!"

"Good food, good service. It took a little while to get the food out, but other than that it was very enjoyable. They have outdoor dining, which looks like a fun place for people watching in milder weather.Try the spinach, squash, walnut, goat cheese salad, best food of the night!"

"We were there for restaurant week. The entree that we both wanted was no longer on the menu. My husband did ask if it was possible to get the bison ribs and the waiter, John did ask, he was able to have the ribs. We both had the duck sliders which were excellent, nicely flavored with greens in a nice dressing. I had the lamb which was done perfectly both entrees has mashed potatoes and an onion frizzel that was delicious. Then for some reason service broke down at dessert. They was a long lull of inattentiveness. We are guessing when the line at the entrance became long. Also the noise level was very loud as the restaurant filled. We both had the apple cobbler with cinnimon ice cream. Other than the service lull, a very nice night"

"We went during restaurant week, so it was more hectic than usual. That in mind we were still disappointed. I made a reservation for a group of 4 for 7:15 pm - we weren't seated until 8 pm. A friend and I ordered the autumn vegetable pizza, but our server had forgotten to tell us upon seating that they weren't making pizzas that night. That left vegetarians with one option - the hearth oven fall veggies, which was effectively just a bowl of vegetables heavily doused with oil. Pretty uninspired. Another friend ordered the lamb and was served duck. When she brought it to the server's attention she was informed they were out of lamb. Kind of bizarre to just be served another protein without notice. I was very disappointed and won't be back."

"Seems like they are trying to get masses in which in my opinion resulted in less the good service and a limited menu with food that was less than great. For instance they did not have a true red wine glass for my wine and it took 20 minutes to get me at least a white wine glass as opposed to the juice style glass they used. My desert was said to be a brownie with some chipolte spice. It came overlooked with the chipolte in globs which made it unbearable to eat."

"The food was different and very good. The bison ribs were very good. The baby kale salad was good too, but the chunks of squash were too big. The duck sliders were amazing. The salmon was well prepared, but the sauces were a bit strange. The service was very good and great at being there when we needed them. The wine list was very limited and there weren't very exciting mixed drinks. We will go there again."

"Loved the appetizers! Love the portions. Prices were great for the value. Duck Sliders are awesome!!! Menu said one price for wine but the bill had a higher price 20% higher---Manager changed it for us. Never thinking as local to come to a hotel restaurant--but nice---My wife and I could speak to each other across the table and actually hear our conversation without screaming at each other... Thank you keep up the good work. You will see us again."

"Beautiful, simple breakfast of *non-sweetened* yogurt (hard to find in restaurants) with a drizzle of raw honey (I got mine on the side), the most beautiful selection of fresh fruit, and granola. My only suggestion would be a little more granola -- there wasn't quite enough for the abundance of yogurt with the huge side order of fruit I got -- but that's really minor. If I order it again, I'll ask for a little extra granola. Good service, with a waiter who was attentive but not overly so."

"Booked this place for Valentine's day thinking that it was going to be a more intimate spot. Turns out it is connected to the lobby of the Loews Hotel. Although the restaurant was fairly nice, it was also really noisy and better suited for bigger groups or the bar. Free valet parking was nice. When I walked in to join my wife, the manager noticed I was not being helped and immediately came to seat me herself. Our waitress was also very pleasant and very attentive throughout dinner. The food was good, but not great. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the salmon. They were both prepared well, but just not very memorable."

"Great awesome food. Loved the steak soo tender. Ordered Medium rare and they got it correct!! Was better than Chart House, Mortons, or Ruth Chris steaks. Was kinda pricy for drinks though but overall didnt have a single complaint about the quality of food. We went for valentine day so we did the $55 per person special. The lobster tail was very small though So I would pass that option if you are thinking about it."

"Overall good in most areas, however the server (in this case a foreign-accented dough boy) couldn't grasp the order correctly. My girlfriend ordered the lump crab cakes (and pointed to them on the menu) - the waiter asked if she wanted the benedict to which she clarified "No, I want this one, JUST the crab cakes" and pointed. He brought out an Eggs Benedict sans crab cakes. We sent this back and clarified the order. 10 minutes later we received a crab cake sandwich and started laughing. The waiter became very defensive both times and tried to argue. There were 4 people at the table who heard the order loud and clear. In retrospect I should have talked to the manager. My guess is based on his demeanor he had done this several times before."

"Ordered Rock fish, it came with a sweet potato puree, tarter sauce and 4 Brussels Sprouts. Yes four tiny sprouts cut in half. The fish was about 3 oz. The meal was not filling at all. I got more tarter sauce than anything else. Nonetheless the fish was cooked perfectly and the sprouts were tasty. Had bread pudding, which came to us cold. In their defense, the pan was piping hot but the bread pudding didn't get warm at all. A clue would have been the pat of butter on top wasn't melting. I also tasted the zeppoles. They didn't have much flavor. You definitely needed to eat them with the berry sauce. The bartender/server was exceptionally nice. She tried to compensate for our wait and the meal. I wish I remembered her name."
