Crush Winehouse was born from a dream, a lot of passion, and the inspiration of the traditional European wine bar. Like many wine bars scattered throughout the Italian countryside, the family owned social spots serve as the gathering place for local residents and tourists alike. The ambiance in the lounge is warm, the setting is intimate, and the servers treat guests more like family than patrons.
"Great Atmosphere and wonderful wine selection. A good spot for a romantic rendezvous. Food was ok. One of our Entrees, Veal was way over cooked. Also, food is very expensive and portions for entrees were small. Wait service was sub par for this type of place, and it was a very slow night. Probably would only go back for a drink or appetizer."

"The food was absolutely marvelous! The dessert (blackberry bread pudding) was the best we have ever eaten. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone....the menu is simple but everything on it is a hit! Enjoy!!!"

"The alligator sausage appetizer was delicious, the scallops were melt-in-your-mouth yummy, and the salmon salad was very good. Not crazy about the chocolate and cayenne pepper dessert, but the pinot grigio was very good and the service was outstanding."

"We picked 4 starters, none of which were worth the money. The tuna tasted like grocery store tuna fillet and the queso tasted like tostitos from the jar, which was served with Fritos chips. My husband got alligator sausage which tasted like the summer sausage that they sell in the mall at Christmas time. Very dissatisfied."

"This wine bar is AMAZING!!! The food was incredible, especially the curried scallops. I went for an early lunch and loved the atmosphere. Our server, who I am pretty sure is the owner, was especially helpful. I brought my two year old daughter with me and he kindly offered to make her a grilled cheese sandwich and brought a huge bowl of fresh fruit along side. I was worried about bringing my daughter and her being out of place, but he made all of us feel welcome and my daughter loved her grown up lunch with Mom and Grandma."

"We were there on a Sunday at the end of the First Sunday Festival. Only two tables of people inside and another group outside. It was nice and our waitress was friendly. The food was good but not great. We ordered entrees because we had a coupon. My husbands salmon was to fishy tasting for me and my crispy duck was nice but not great. I would like to go back and try appetizers because several sounded good. The description of the place says "small plates" , so I wonder if those would be better then full entrees. We only have another gift certificate for entrees so we are unsure if we will return anytime soon. Maybe to sit outside with a glass of wine."

"The noise level is this restaurant is very high... I think because the room is so open, the noise permentrate through the entire restaurant. I think that section should be created with movable walls."

"Since they've changed management, the food quality has gone down. My sister found fruitflies in her cocktail. The main entrees were flavorless. Luckily we had a great waitress who took good care of us. The best part of the restaurant is the desserts. They were delicious!"

"We had a groupon to use so we braved the snow and made the trek down to Annapolis. The experience was great. Our appetizers were fantastic and the wine was really good. I did feel bad for the owner and chef as they were the only ones there working. I will be going back again."

"We have eaten there a few times before, mostly during a nights stay at the Lowes Hotel next door. We love the place! Great foods and wines at reasonable prices. We would recommend it to anyone including small gatherings of people. We were there on a Thursday night and the place was half full and the noise was really low enough to allow us to talk and enjoy each others company! Weekends are definitely busier but there is so much to do and see in downtown Annapolis, this place becomes one of many and so it is not overrun with people, destroying the intimate atmosphere! This was our first time using Open Table and it worked perfectly! Thanks!"

"The Restaurant was nice, the only thing was there was a bridal shower in the restaruant and they were very loud, music was a bit loud too. The tables were also really close together. My wife and I did have fun at the restaurant and the food was good. Just was really loud in the restaurant and the tables were way too close for our liking. Other than that is was fine."

"They have a good wine list here and it's located in an old row style building. Parking is located directly next door at the Loew's hotel. A few sofas, some chairs, small tables. The ambiance is low key and relaxed but the service on the night there was a bit spotty. Things like empty water glasses, etcetera but nothing too bad. The food though was a bit of a disappointment. If your going to converse with friends, have some appetizers to go with good wine, then this is a hip spot. For dinner and wine though the plates come up a bit short. We ordered 4 items off the appetizer menu and a main meal. The dates were good but the remainder of the items were basically pre-done and just warmed up including the main meal."

"First time here for a trip, picking this thru Groupon due to the historical building. At first we were concerned at picking this restaurant because it wasn't comparable to the finer dining establishments in the area. However, we only went for lunch and wanted a smaller, faster prepared meal. The service and food was extremely good and I would definitely recommend this to anyone."

"Crush is one of our favorite spots to go for appetizers wine. The procuitto wrapped dates are. Amazing and a must! Wine selection is great and the servers are very knowledgeable. Its pricey but good atmosphere for date night or girls night. Good wine, good appetizers, can be loud."

"Crush did not disappoint again. The food was exquisite! The Portabella Mushroom topped with goat cheese, crab dip, and brie were all divine! Paired with a Rojas wine to start was delicious! We all enjoyed our entrees, but the duck and ribeye were a hit! Finishing off with a Cabernet blend and Tiramisu was the perfect end to the perfect meal. Danny gave us awesome service. Looking forward to our next visit!"

"Service was not great - thought we had been forgotten as others seated after us were attended to before us. My rib eye reminded me of why I usually avoid that cut - too much fat! Expected better from a restaurant that thinks so highly of itself. Probably our last visit. Would have been very upset if it hadn't been Restaurant Week. The prices are incredible considering their competition!"

"An enjoyable evening and what follows does not detract from that. You occupy a prominent historic property and I found the interior somewhat disappointing. The existing decor rather cold, sparse and austere. It is a good stage and could be utilized to greater advantage?"

"Terrific wine list and our selection was amazing! Small plates were tasty and fresh. Duck was well prepared and not overdone. Steaks were fair. Service was very good-friendly server who took care of our needs. The atmosphere is "busy" with folks lingering to talk and enjoy their meals and drinks. Fun time with friends - good find!"

"My husband and I made belated Valentine's Day reservations for a Saturday night. When we arrived, we stood in the doorway for 10 minutes until one of the servers finally acknowledged that we were there. We were seated without menus, and waited a full 15 minutes before someone came over to bring them. The waitress said she would be right back to take our drink order, but after 10 minutes, we gave up and decided to leave. The couple seated at the table next to us said they had been there for almost 2 hours and only had salads and wine. I will not be going back, ever."

"We started with the crab did, quail, & procuitto wrapped dates. Then had Osso Bucco and Hawaiian Ribeye for dinner. We had a real nice bottle of Cabernet, I think it was called stix. The place was extremely busy and the wait staff seemed to be flustered and bickering with each other, which my partner and I thought was funny. But, they did get the job done and we had a pleasant experience."

"The food was completely subpar. The chicken on my salad looked like it came out of a pre-cooked package of Tyson frozen chicken breasts and my boyfriend's alligator sausage had terrible flavor. Our server was hard to find. The atmosphere is bipolar: half of the restaurant is good for couples on a date, the other half has a more lounge feel better for groups, but the two areas aren't separated. High ceilings contribute to the noise level, which isn't bad if you're out with friends, but isn't ideal if you're on a romantic date for two. They were playing a mix of Top 40 pop hits that I didn't find ideal for the setting. I frequently find that I have subpar experiences using LivingSocial deals, but either way I would not return to Crush."

"Crush winehouse was very good. I enjoyed the food very much. I shared three tapa like plates with my sister. We ordered the curry scallops, but they were not as spicy as I expected them to be. We also had the crab dip which was very good, but too much for only two people. The other plate was the tuna tartar. I enjoyed it the most, the ginger dressing on it tied the whole dish together. It was more than enough food for the two of us. I was very interested in the wine tasting but we were unable to try the wine dispenser. The sevrice was good. There seemed to only be two servers for the entire resturant though, so when it got busier we got overlooked a bit. All and all it was a good experience and I really enjoyed my evening."

"Just had a pre-Valentines dinner at Crush! The winelist was very good but prices seem very high for some of the options. We had the Steak and the osso buco. Steak was tough and not at all worth the price. Pork was tender but not very heavily seasoned. both had same boring vegetable and mashed potatoes. everything from the kitchen was OK but seems very over-priced for what you get. The service was not good. there were very few tables there and NO servers? The Owner/manager did the serving and had a few bussers to assist. we waited 17 minutes from time we finished eating to be asked if we wanted desert...... The staff seemed to be dressed very casually. The place has potential but we will most likely not go back unless things change"

"Initially the hostess/waitress wanted to seat us right next to another couple when the restaurant was near empty, then they didn't have iced tea, the crab dip didn't have old bay on it like it stated in the menu. My husbands meat was very fatty and didn't appear to be marinated for 3 days in anything. Overall I was disappointed in this restaurant, we didn't even ask about dessert."

"Food was hit or miss and the service was slow and lack-luster. Prosciutto-wrapped dates as an appetizer were really nice. The salads were overly dressed and the honey vinaigrette was much too heavy on the vinegar. The Pork Osso Bucco was very good, although the vegetable medley was a little heavy on the bell peppers. The Hawaiian Ribeye was a waste of a nice cut of meat. The flavors were too sweet and the meat was over-cooked. Not impressed at all, particularly since the wait staff talked this entree up a lot. The vegetable medley appeared to be the same for this dish as for the Pork Osso Bucco: we felt that they vegetables should be more customized to enhance the entree, not the same for all of the entrees. Wine was exceptional."

"I had a pleasant dining experience at Crush Winehouse. While I enjoyed my food, I wasn't exceptional. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly. They have a great selection of wines. I think I'd come back to sample the wines and have light fare. I wouldn't necessarily return for a full-on meal."
