"We have been to Ruth's Chris many times, but this past one was different. Our steaks were cooked correctly, but the amazing flavor that we had come to love from Ruth's Chris was missing. It was my wife's birthday, so I didn't say anything, however on the car ride home, she said "I hope I'm not ruining it, but that steak was not right." The service was superior, and with out a doubt Paul is the best waiter we have ever had. The soups, sides, and dessert were a home run. We will come back because Ruth's Chris is special to us, and I am going to assume the issue with the steaks was a rare occurrence."

"We go to this restaurant on special occasions because it never fails to make the honored person or occasion feel special. My daughter had graduated from college and we had a family dinner. The staff were very attentive and congratulated our family. The specials, menu, etc. was explained. The staff was very helpful when it came to my Mother who has difficulty with steps and guiding her to an elevator. We had a complimentary champagne toast and special dessert. It was an overall wonderful experience."

"In all honesty it was good but NOT $185.00 good. WAY overpriced. As much as this place has been raved about we were very excited to try it. It was just "eh". It wasn't worth the $185.00 it cost me to take my bf there for our anniversary. We could have had just as good of a meal at Texas Roadhouse for 1/3 the money. So I'd have to say, very disappointing.
EVERYTHING on the menu is way overpriced. $43.00 for the steak and ANY side you want with it is extra. Small platter of Au Gratin potatoes - $9.95. 4 stuffed mushrooms - $16.95. A little ridiculous. Save your money, go to Texas Roadhouse and have just as good of a meal."

"We had dined here over the years and always had a pleasant experience. This time, however, we were disappointed as the service was really lacking. The hostess seated us in a dark corner on the first floor under a vent that blew continuous cold air down our backs. I politely asked if we could move to another table and she quickly responded there was nothing available. I asked if we could move to the unoccupied table beside us and she said, "Well, ok." That table was a bit better. There were other tables available, but I didn't want to cause a fuss.
The service the rest of the evening was lacking- we waited 10 minutes for water and for drink orders while everyone around us was quickly served. The wait staff needs more training!"

"I would have given them a better review but we were there celebrating my sister's birthday which we noted on our reservation and they also asked about when we confirmed our reservation by phone that day. They did not mention it or do anything special for us. I have never been to a high end restaurant where they did not bring over a dessert or something. We have actually celebrated at this Ruth's Chris before and they brought cake with a candle. This time, nothing. We will probably go someplace else next time."

"The food was ok. I have eaten at Ruth's Chris several times before and except for their lamb, I am not sure why their food is as highly priced as it is. I had an experience at this particular location which may cause me to not go back to any of their outlets in that one of two gift cards used was denied and not returned to me to follow up, costing me $50. The location was more noisy than my usual venue as well."

"Ruth's Chris is always a good choice if you are craving a top quality steak. We visited for my husband's birthday and had a nice, quiet evening (it was a Monday night). Although the restaurant was fairly empty (I only saw 4 other tables seated while we were there), we were sat right next to another couple. This was slightly annoying because the tables are so close together. I felt like we were in the middle of their loud conversation all evening. As for food, we had a cowboy ribeye, lump crab cocktail, blue point oysters, tomato mozzarella salad, and steak fries. The crab and oysters were excellent, as was the ribeye. I thought the salad was of terrible quality with mushy tomatoes and very cheap mozzarella. Cocktails were just okay."

"Premium steaks and lobster tails with melted butter, while delicious, are not haught cuisine -- and so I've always thought that Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is substantially overpriced. The restaurant dependably provides excellent steaks and very good seafood, but it's hardly a gourmet restaurant. Our party of three had two courses, plus dessert. Our first courses were (well prepared) salads, and our main courses included fillet mignon and lobster tails. 2 sides. No wine or other drinks besides water and tea. And with a 20% tip (relaxed but flawless service) we paid about $380 for the three of us. Ruth's Chris never disappoints. The wine list is exceptional. Still, if what you're after is just a great steak you can do better elsewhere."

"Food was very good, service was solid. The biggest drawback to the evening was the temperature inside the establishment, very cold. As my wife and I looked around we noticed several woman either wearing their jackets or having them draped over their laps like blankets because of the draftiness and cold temperature. The presence of the firetruck and EMT team as they pulled the stretcher through the dining area was not necessarily a drawback, but it did bring an element of discomfort to the dining experience. We will go back."

"Ruth's Chris is always good, but when you spend $100 per person on a dinner for four, you expect more than good. Our vegetables came out almost 10 minutes after our steaks. While the Filet side of our Porterhouse was well cooked, the NY Strip side was overcooked and tough. My gin/tonic never made it out at all (eventually cancelled it). It wasn't that crowded for food and drinks not to arrive timely. Ruth's Chris is usually better."

"Server was horrible! Brought the wrong bottle of wine out twice and her attitude became aggressively worse. She never mentioned the specials and when we asked her about them she only explained a third of them. To top off the night she brought out the wrong meal for my wife. This location is our go to restaurant and have had many of fantastic dinners here. Hopefully this was a rare occasion with a horrible server. Other then her, the mood, food and other servers were extremely polite and fantastic as normal."

"My boyfriend and I went to Ruth's Chris last week for a late Valentine's day dinner, and everything was amazing, from the service to the food. Our waiter was full of personality. It is expensive, but worth the money! Great for special occasions."

"I usually dont have anything bad to say about this establishment but I had to go on the record by saying this was the worst time I ever had a Ruth's Chris. First, I requested a booth in my reservation and I was seated at an table in the open floor. Then we get the menu and my wife orders a red wine and I order water and the watress returned with water for both of us completely forgetting that she ordered wine and didnt bring the bread out. Once we placed our order for the porterhouse for 2, 10 mins later she said that there was no more of them left. Therefore since we traveled far to recieve some good food we decided to get the filet and new york strip which the plates were cold and the crab cake app. was cold as well."

"I was very disappointed.Over priced and over rated. My husband and I went for Valentine's Day dinner and they had a fixed menu which did not have some of the menu items we had intended to get so we were left with limited choices. The petite steak I ordered was over cooked...that could have been my fault for ordering medium well but still it should have been a little more tender than it was and the potatoes were cooked in butter; soggy and greasy! My husband's steak was okay but it was just a steak, nothing special except cooked and soaked in butter and a baked potato because there wasn't much else to choose from. As far as ambiance...none! It was like being in a funeral home dining hall. No music, boring decor, and just not fun!"
