"A colleague and I had a 6PM reservation on Monday night which I know is a slow restaurant night. We were the only ones there for most of our dinner. We both ordered Risotto with asparagus which was very good but pricey ($22). Many of the dishes seemed a bit overpriced. In terms of the menu items, I thought that it lacked enough options especially vegetarian options for me. The service was very attentive but the restaurant was a bit too quiet for my taste."

"The food is excellent... A small menu, but a good variety (even for a picky eater like myself). The dishes my wife and I selected were all amazing... well cooked and full of flavor. No big portions here, but we still left feeling full. Its rare we get dessert, but since this was a special night out we tried the sorbet and some lemon pastry. Yum.
Would (will) come back for sure and will be bringing parents and others who enjoy a good meal."

"We were a party of four. Some of the dishes (buratta appetizer and pork saltimbocca) were terrific. Everything else ordered was good, but not great. Service was impersonal and scarce. Staff needs to work on making guests feel welcome. With all the fabulous dining options in the area, we'll likely not return."

"Sette is a dining experience. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is friendly & attentive, and the ambience is elegant. We have been "regulars" because it is never a disappointment. The owner/executive chef is creative and very talented. He walks through the restaurant on most evenings to meet and greet. We love to try new restaurants but we are always grateful to have Sette available to us. It is a favorite of ours!"

"Again, just a wonderful dining experience. The service, and the food, are both outstanding. Also, as a BYO, the bill is also very reasonable. LOL!! Not much atmosphere, but, as my Dad used to say, you don't eat atmosphere."

"I have dined here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. When I last visited I tried a special that was cod fish cooked in white wine, with a hint of anchovy and a chunky chopped tomato sauce. The fish was very fresh and the dish was a real winner. Highly recommended. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the preparations and were attentive."

"It is refreshing to find a spot like Sette. The food was freshly prepared from the complementary bruschetta to the creme Brûlée dessert. My onion tart appetizer was savory and my Cod entree fresh and flavorful. The table was a little tight for 4 but it gave us the opportunity to share and enjoy each others selections. I wanted to avoid too much bread but the delicious, warm rolls and herbed olive oil made that impossible. We will return!"

"Overall this is a nice restaurant. Love these BYO's!! However, I made this reservation 4 weeks in advance, yet upon arriving 5 Minutes prior to our reservation time, we were told they were running behind. This restaurant is very small, only 8 tables, and has no place to sit and wait. The four of us had to stand by the front door for 35 minutes waiting for our table."

"Sette is lovely. It is intimate and quiet with a nice menu and attentive service. It’s more like being in someone’s home than a restaurant. Also, it’s BYOB and that allows a more reasonable pocketbook experience.
If there is a flaw, it’s the failure to change the menu from time to time. However, the food is good. Appetizers such as the onion tart are exceptional. All in all a nice place for a small get together or to bring a special person."

"I have been living in the Bernardsville area since 1998, and this was my first experience at Sette. The entire dining event lived up to all my expectations. We were prepared for the small dining area, but were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. From that point on, it was heaven. The hostess and wait service were prompt and courteous. The food was outstanding, in preparation and presentation. Our wine was served as needed, without any delay. Finally, the dessert was superb, and after we complimented the chef, an extra portion of the special was brought to our table with the check. I would recommend Sette to any of my friends, family, and strangers looking for a local gem."

"The homemade garlic bread bruschetta was one of the best we ever had. A must to try. The servers were pleasant but need some polishing; they were extremely attentive to pouring wine but forgot a bread/butter plate. The space is extremely small however; the decor could be "cozier." Allow enough time to drive around and find a parking space although the night we went was following a snow storm so spaces were at a premium. Overall the food is phenomenal!!"
