The Silverspoon menu is seasonal American cuisine, presented creatively with market driven, sustainable and heirloom ingredients. Our hope is to provide diners with updated versions of classic regional dishes, contemporary sauces, and an enticing marriage of taste, texture and color. Not trendy, just delicious. Not extravagant, just fairly priced. We have an experienced and friendly staff and a warm bouchon atmosphere. Alcohol service is BYOB.
"I always enjoy the Silverspoon for lunch. This time I ordered my favorite Mushroom Bisque, which was lovely as usual. The small mixed green salad, however, was minscule and not very exciting. Thank goodness we were given free fresh bread and butter for free when we asked for it."

"Food was excellent with the exception of overdone pork which was their special for the evening. For the overdone pork the waiter comped our desserts which was nice. Delicious table snacks and apps. Ambience was quaint."

"The meal was excellent, the service so-so. Had to ask more than once for things like extra bread plates, etc. In terms of noise, we were seated next to a family of eight with two small children/toddlers that were crying non-stop and the parents never made an attempt to remove them. Obviously this was not an issue on the part of the restaurant but made for a less than relaxing experience.
That being said, the meal was wonderful and I would return."

"Dining here was a delightful adventure. Fresh, local food and an imaginative chef team up to create a superlative dining experience. The Asparagus and Spring Onion Soup, Zucchini Fries and hot, sugar-dusted Donuts were just a few of our many favorites. Our servers were helpful and fun, but seemed a little over- extended by the end of our meal. The two people sitting behind the counter looked a little too dour to be over seeing such a fun restaurant- they need to lighten up and enjoy their surroundings. This place is a real gem !"

"As always, an excellent meal at Silverspoon. Enjoyed the roman style artichokes to start and a delicious spring dish of scallops, lemon asparagus risotto and the spring ramps that are in season for such a short period of time. The service is always attentive and excellent as well. A true gem in the Main LIne dining scene."

"The restaurant is chic and pleasant. The food was fair at best. The one entrée was cold and potatoes were undercooked. The other entrees were fine ,not fabulous. Everything is a la carte and coffee is expensive!! Don't think I'll go back."

"Very good food with interesting menu. Excellent for an upscale BYO meal in a casual setting. Nice outdoor seating, albeit overloooking the (very quiet) parking lot."

"Some floor coverings (orientals?) and heavier drapes might appear to shrink the room, but the noise level is extremely high here. Not much ambience in a hen house. Food was quite good but pricey. Service was excellent."

"This was our first visit and everything was good; the food, the service, the ambiance. We just didn't find anything to be "great." There certainly wasn't anything to turn us away. The goat cheese gnocchi were interesting, the trout and lamb porterhouse were fine, but it wasn't until the vanilla bean panna cotta for dessert that we found anything really flavorful. The menu has good choices and it helps that it is a BYOB."

"Food was fine. 'Shroom soup excellent. Waitress all smiles & nicely attentive. Place packed - customers waiting for tables. So this is a good thing! The decible level at lunch however, was incredibly loud - almost painful. Installation of acoustic baffling would be a welcomed improvement."

"We were a party of 4 and each of us ate something different and each of us were very happy with our dinner selection. It is not easy to go 4 for 4 in baseball or in main courses; this is a safe bet for a nice night and an excellent meal."

"This is our second brunch at Silver Spoon, we started with delicious home made vanilla chai donuts and coffee, followed by a roasted veggie omelette with a side of the most decadent brown sugar peppercorn bacon. Ruth, Rich and their staff made us feel welcome and well cared for, We look forward to working our way through the rest of the menu!"

"Really good service. It was packed for lunch Friday probably because the food is consistantally good. Not too fancy but unique enough for a foodie. Side of bacon a must (think salty sweet yum)"

"This restaurant is tucked away in the back corner of Eagle Village (formerly Spread Eagle Village) center near Georges' and is invisible from Rt 30, so you might never know it was there unless you were among the "ladies who lunch" who are that center's clientele. To my surprise it was an outstanding farm-to-table BYO - duck breast was perfectly roasted over a not-too-sweet sweet potato puree, a harissa chicken w/raisins had a creative combination of spices, and mushroom bisque, arugula salad, chocolate truffle, and home-baked cookies were all first-rate. Entrees in $20s. Decor nothing special, bland lunch-place look, but comfortable, tables reasonably spaced, service attentive. Hope quality trumps hidden location."

"My girlfriend and I went to Silverspoon once before for dinner. The service staff was having a lot of issues - messing up orders, not getting food for an hour - so it wasn't great. We went back for brunch and it was 100% better. Food and service was outstanding. I'd give it a 5 for food, but the aforementioned dinner knocked it down. Highly recommend for brunch/lunch."

"For starters, I ordered the cheese patter. The cheese was cold and it did not come with anything, not even a few crackers. How do they expect you to eat crumbled-up blue cheese? Very disappointing. Our entrees were mediocre. But, the service is great and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. It’s a BYOB and that a plus. But, the menu is limited."

"I brought my 92-year-old dad for Sunday brunch. They were very helpful in getting him situated. We both had omelettes which were excellent. Order the bacon - it's outstanding. We couldn't resist the donuts with cream sauce after seeing them being enjoyed at other tables - they were scrumptious. Overall a delightful experience. We will be back"

"Silverspoon never disappoints: we're always greeted with a broad smile by the Mr and Mrs owners who are delighted we're there and the food is fantastic every time. It's one of the few BYOBs in the area, which is greatly appreciated. The 'greatest bacon ever' appetizer (strips of sweet, fat bacon served alone on a plate) sounds strange but really lives up to its name. Order it for the table -- you'll see -- and the mushroom soup is delicious and velvety with the perfect musky flavor. Do make a reservation because it's a small space. It's also terribly noisy (the hard floor? high ceilings?) and nearly impossible to hear your tablemates on busy nights. Why can't Mainliners kept their voices down during a nice dinner?"

"We have been here many times and enjoy the food. This visit the service was not up to par. They never came back to see if we needed anyting else. No offer of more coffee, etc. But we will probably be back because the food and service are usually very consistent. This time it was just off."

"Our first time experience at silver spoon was over the top. The service, ambience and food was fabulous. I couldn't decide what to order so I did the tasting, all 6 courses. I was not disappointed with any. From the parsnip soup to the cookies for dessert, it was amazing. And the smaller portions were the perfect size. My husband's cream of mushroom soup, seared scallops and cheese crepes for dessert were equally as delicious. The waitress and her team were terrific and with an early reservation, we never felt rushed. We will definitely return to this little gem and have already recommended it to several people."

"This was my first trip to Silverspoon. Two of my friends are there frequently and never pass up an opportunity to meet for meal. Our food was delicious. Best Bacon Ever is truly the Best Bacon Ever!! Couldn't imagine ordering an appetizer of bacon, but I was glad we did! The portions are small, but it allowed us to enjoy salad, entree and dessert. So good. I will be back for sure!"
