Sahara Restaurant is an oasis in the middle of the Denver Technology Center.
"We are regulars at Sahara, which is near our home. We tend to get the same favorite dishes on most visits. The food is generally consistent and very yummy. Service is comfortable. Just keep in mind if you are going for a quiet dinner and chatting, check with them about their Belly Dancing performances. We forgot the other night, went at main dinner time on a Saturday and were seated under a speaker. When the Belly Dancing occurred, the music was very loud for us and we couldn't talk easily. I am sure the performance is enjoyed by many, but that night it was not of interest to us and was a little disruptive. So, depending on your interest, check the schedule -- it may be just Saturday nights. Overall, again, we like Sahara!"

"Our neighborhood group of 4 couples go out to dinner quarterly. It was my turn to choose the restaurant and I chose Sahara as I am trying to find a local Middle Eastern restaurant as good as the two we tried in London. This is as close as I have come to finding that... The food was great, the service good and the Lebanese red wine delicious. Every one enjoyed the evening. DG"

"The food was amazing and I am a HUGE fan of Lubna's Spicy Chicken. The service was poor on Sunday evening when we went. We have been to Sahara many times and this is the first time I can report bad service. The restaurant was very slow and quiet when we were there which leads me to believe that the service is better when the restaurant is full."

"We had a very nice dining experience at Sahara. The lamb and plum tangine was wonderful, well worth the trip. The Sahara plate was a great mix of Morrocan specialties, very good."

"I had no idea what to expect dining at a Moroccan restaurant. I was looking for different and found the Sahara on OpenTable. The hummus was fantastic and the best I have ever had. The main course, Louba's Spicy Chicken was excellent. The spices were wonderful and flavorful. The chicken was tender and the sauce was outstanding. My date had the salmon and it was wonderful too. I look forward to eating there again. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the Sahara!"

"Excellent food. Delicious. Good portions and good prices. Service was a bit slow, but it was very busy so I understand that. The belly dancer was irritatingly loud. Would be better without her."

"The food was amazing. However, I feel it was a bit expensive. If I didn't have a "coupon" for a meal I don't think it would have been my first choice. I went on a Friday evening which was a mistake because it was crowded and the serivice was a little under staffed. I think we waited a little under ten minutes for someone to bring us water. Once the staff got it together, the service was pretty good."

"The food was great, the service quite good, but I was very disappointed in the seating. I asked for specific seeing by the window, 2 weeks in advance, and not by the kitchen. We were seated near the kitchen, right under the speaker. Maybe they could pay more attention to requested made that far in advance and try to accommodate that. thank you."

"Great owners and the best Middle Eastern cuisine in the entire area of south metro Denver. Top picks: gyros, almost any lamb dish, kabob dishes. The only negative--they charged for a side of cucumber yogurt sauce--I've never been charged for sauce anywhere. It didn't bother me but it might bother others."

"Sahara has some of the best Middle Eastern food around. You definitely cannot find better hummas anywhere. The live belly dancer on the weekends is a fun extra."

"Nothing about Sahara prepares one for the absolutely wonderful food that appears from their kitchen. The location is not elegant (overgrown strip mall) and it's appearance from the parking lot doesn't give a hint of what's inside. But what is inside is a very pleasant ambience, good service, and outstanding food. It is our newest "favorite restaurant" find."

"Love Sahara for Middle Eastern food! Although I don't eat meat, they do have a couple of great vegetarian sampler platters and seafood. They have a lebanese and moroccan wine along with a few ethnic beers. Very lovely atmosphere, but not pretentious. Make sure and try their baklava for dessert!"

"The food was excellent, starting with the humus and grape leaves (served warm, not cold), through the baklava for dessert. The shawarma was the authentic "cut off a spit" version, but was still very tasty. The falafel was crispy on the outside, the way I prefer, and the saffron rice was excellent.
The service was less outstanding. We were there early on a Sunday evening (5:45) and there were only two other tables. We waited for service, for water refills, and for the food. We even had a long wait for the check, and after paying, for our credit card to come back."

"The Sahara Restaurant was amazing! The service was what won me over. Everybody was so nice and accommodating. I had the lamb shank which was yummy. The rice was outstanding, it was buttery, fluffy and the perfect color. The felafel appetizers were crunchy but hot on the inside, perfect. What could have been improved is the portion and quality of the Greek salad, hummus, and baba ghanoush. I would go there again and a big group of people."

"We love this place. Excellent Hummus. Tangine salmon was fantastic. They were packed on a Saturday night, which surprised everyone. Although they were clearly short of help, they worked hard to keep everyone served."
