BISTECCA's menu is inspired by Sorrentino's Restaurant Group Corporate Executive Chef Sonny Sung, and is a combination of Savory Antipasti, Divine Pasta and Succulent Entrées containing only the finest cuts beautifully aged to perfection. BISTECCA proudly serves Spring Creek Ranch Premium Alberta Beef as it is raised without hormones and antibiotics.

"Do you know when you're watching a travel show or a food show and they go to a fancy restaurant with an amazing chef and the food looks so good that you want to reach through the tv and steal all of it? This place is like that. Bistecca serves actual chef created masterpieces. I had the best bruschetta ever. It was so good that when I ate it, I instantly realized that other places had been making it wrong this whole time. For main course I had the short rib. It was so tender and flavorful. Crazy good. Served with delicious creamy mashed potatoes, buttery carrots, green beans and sweet candied cabbage. So good. My wife had the best beef tenderloin she's ever had.
The prices are reasonable for such high end cuisine."

"Poor service - very slow to come out with anything. from arrival to departure took almost 2 hours. Restaurant probably set up for mother's day brunch and people were more interested in cleaning up than helping us. Even got the wrong bill at the end of the night and waited again to get our correct bill."

"Going to a restaurant of this supposed quality was a little disappointing. When we go out to for dinner we usually try something that we wouldn't cook at home. My wife's duck breast was overcooked and tough. I had the lamb loin,which was ok but not spectacular. The drinks ordered were almost flavourless considering how much the cost was."

"Excellent meal, we started with the lobster bisque and garlic and onion soup, both large servings and very filling. We had the veal chop and New york steak medium rare and both cooked perfect. The peppercorn cognac sause was wonderful. For dessert we had the nutella puff pastry- excellent. The total with one beer and two wines was 144 not including tip."

"Our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. The steak is definitely some of the best in the city, full of flavor and perfectly balanced with spices and natural flavor. The short ribs were outstanding, so tender that if you were considering needing anything more than a fork to eat them it would be a mistake. They melt in your mouth and are full of rich meaty flavor.
Wine selection was great as well with the by the glass options offering good value and selection.
Service was excellent from timing to assuring patrons of their choices.

"Average restaurant with gourmet prices. I didn't find the food to be bad, but not good enough for the prices - I'd much rather spend that money at a more classy restaurant. Our waiter was friendly, but not very interactive and was consistently short a utensil/dinner roll when he brought these things to our table. We ordered a few steaks - all of them came to our table medium rare to medium, even though we had all ordered our steaks medium to well-done. When the waiter was asked, he said that this was how their restaurant cooked a well-done steak. He took a steak back to be cooked more, but it was barely improved, and we chose not to complain further. It was not very busy, and I was not surprised after eating there."

"My wife and I went here for a night out when found a babysitter.
Nice place, we were there on a slow night apparently(Monday) as there were only 5 other tables the whole time we were there.
The service was great, even when our server was busy with another table someone else came by to see if we needed anything.
Now for the food, my wife had the Osso Bucco and said it was outstanding. I snagged a couple pieces and it was quite tender. No knife required for her meal. It also came with risotto which she loved, I tried that as well but I'm not a huge risotto fan so it wasn't anything special to me. I had the veal chop and honestly I was disappointed. I was expecting it to be much more tender than it was. And I'm out of character"

"I've been a fan of Bistecca since it arrived but don't get there as often as I'd like. My husband and I went for dinner on Monday night and are SO glad we chose there. We went looking for our favourite pasta (amazing Macaroni, Canneloni, etc.) but decided on steak instead. My husband's Ribeye was amazing and my New York Strip Loin (after second attempt at medium-rare) was great too. The sauce options we chose (Mushroom Madeira Jus and Truffle Porto?) were rich and flavourful. Even the seasoned oil (with a kick!) with bread had us in heaven. The crowning glory was a White Chocolate Tiramisu (just creamy enough and served in a thin chocolate cup) on the house due to my steak issue. I would have ordered it anyway and it's my new favourite now!"

"I would recommend this restaurant, with one reservation: It is very expensive. Our group ordered two bottles of wine (some of the less expensive on the menu), and along with the food and a few individual drinks, we paid $75/person (including tip). Okay for a special occasion, but I probably wouldn't go here any more often than once every year or two. The wine was excellent. I can only comment on my own food, although some of the others in the group raved about their dinners. Four-cheeses ravioli appetizer: fantastic flavour, but a bit dried out on top, as if it had sat out on a counter for a while and then been reheated. "We visited this restaurant on a fairly quiet Sunday evening. Stuck with the basic salad, appetizer and pasta dishes. To our best recollections this member of the Sorrentino's group has done a very nice variation os some dishes we had tried elsewhere, In all we we impressed with the food. We order wine by the glass, and felt that they were a bit pricy but not unreasonable. in all my wife and felt we would enjoy a return visit."
