"The food was all good except two at our table had crabcakes that were too salty to eat. But it is really hard to complain about a restaurant who opens for business at 5 p.m. on Saturday and happily takes an opentable reservation made at 4:30 p.m. that same day for a table for 19. That alone marks it high in my books. Then the owners were gracious enough to take my great-nephews on a tour of the kitchen and the back office! Thanks for taking care of us Nimbeaux's. We had a great mini-family reunion on my trip to Lafayette!"

"Nice place. Owners even came over to wish my mom a happy birthday. We were a huge group and rather noisy but no one seemed to mind. The food was excellent and had a great variety."

"My husband and I were planning a trip to Lafayette for a workshop and found this restaurant online. We made a reservation for 8:30, the first available for a Saturday night. We arrived a bit early and found that the reservation was not necessary. We were seated and our waiter was quick to serve us. Our food was delicious and was served quickly. Part of my order included macaroni and cheese. The waiter warned me that it had been seasoned very well that day, but I still ordered it. This is the only reason I did not rate the food as very good. Mac and cheese should not be spicy! This was a minor concern, as our overall experience was excellent! I appreciated the simplicity of the decor. It made us feel welcome and part of the family"
