"Comfiest seating ever in a restaurant. We were there with a group of 6 on a saturday night. I liked the online reservation service. My malbec wine was great, service was good. My houseband loved his fried chicken and waffles and I love my crab/shrimp cake however disappointed only one on he plate. Sadly other dishes ordered not so outstanding; burger totally raw and sent back, halibet dry, and grill romaine had so little dressing on it I didn't eat. So that said I think I would try again but would hope a little more attention to the cooking needs to be made at the prices clients are paying. Will chaulk it up to place being new and needing to iron out some kinks. Nice having live music."

"Went with a group of 7 and was a good night. Good service and good food. Oysters were fresh and very tasty! Menu had some interesting selections on there including chicken and waffles. Would have liked to see a basic chicken dish for those not as adventurous :) but honestly everything I tasted was great. Poutine was awesome! House white was very good also.
For a Friday the place was over 3/4 full which was great to see for a Langley non- chain restaurant - we need more of these in the area!
Love the use of local produce / products!"

"Welcoming atmosphere with a cozy, relazing ambience. Very accomodating live music by a solo artist with guitar and songs playing in the background. Food most enjoyable paired with a nice glass of house wine. Will be back for sure!"

"Service was slow but very pleasant. Some oddities in the way things were served (tin foil cups on a main dish plate). Some portions not the proper size (beet salad with 3 slices of beets :/ or the mushroom frittata with barely any obvious mushrooms).
Seems newish and eager with room for improvement but didn't break the pocket book and nor was it unpleasant. We will go back and we will look forward to them polishing a few things :)

"This is my favourite Langley restaurant - hands down. I have been here several times for lunch and dinner and the menu is always imaginative, the food is consistently delicious, and the service is always wonderful. I'm thankful that there is an alternative to Earls, Browns, etc. Although it is in a strip mall, once inside the ambiance is lovely."

"We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Fat Cow. From the crab cake to start to the goat cheese cheesecake with rubarb confit it was delicious! The service was attentive although the meal was a little slow, but it was clearly made from scratch and to order, so it was worth the wait. Cosy and inviting room, although in a peculiar location. Two udders up!"

"The food at the restaurnt was very good however the service was less than what we would expect for a restaurant that came recommended in the Georgia Staight. Dinner took more that 1.5 hours to arrive with little interaction from the server in the meantime-drinks, additional appys, dinner will be coming, etc. When the food came it was very good once everyone at the table got their food but it came out stagered and 2 out of the party of 6 had to wait at least 5 additional minutes after everyone else which meant everyone else's dinner was cooled off by the time everyone got their meal. Live music was good. Location lacking-looked at a parking lot for dinner. Given the number of restaurants in the Vancouver area we will likely not be back."

"Excellent food. Very friendly service. Fine dining food with a super casual atmosphere. Great live entertainment. The only criticism we had was it took a long time. We were with another couple chatting so the time seemed to pass anyways. If we were on our own it would have felt slow. Will go back without question!!"

"I booked this restaurant without ever having been there or knowing anyone, simply based on the reviews. I am pleased to say the group of 12 that went were not disappointed and in fact it will now be on a list of recommendations. There is so little to be offered in that area it is good to see there IS an option. The only drawback was that the location was a little challenging for people to find as the signage was difficult to see when passing by. BUT it was WELL worth it and as long as people know to look hard for that gem I don't think they will be disappointed."

"The service at the Fat Cow & Oyster Bar was excellent. We stuck to everything seafood on the menu and was not disappointed in any of the dishes. The meals arrived in a timely manner and was sizzling hot (I hate cold food). The restaurant was quite empty for a Sunday evening but it's also still very new. Go and support them, you wont be disappointed."

"Not a bad spot to keep on the dining list if you live in Langley, but it has a few rough spots. Our server would have been better suited to a diner: she lacked the polish & professionalism you'd expect from a fine restaurant. My steak was OK, but a little tough & definitely not dry aged. The oysters were great. It had live music that was too loud, which I absolutely hate. It made dinner conversation difficult ."

"We were looking forward to trying a new restaurant in Langley. There are so few good restaurants here that are not franchises. We came away somewhat disappointed. Although the food was tasty, the overall experience was lacking. There was too much emphasis on filling our water glasses and not enough helpful pleasant interaction with the servers. Also in our opinion including fresh bread is a must."

Chef was in chef jacket , shorts and flip flops
Waitress were all in jean capris and casual shirts
Mussels were amazing but I had the sirloin steak which had grissle running through it
Could only cut through half
My husband had shoulder which was very moist and nice but homemade sauce had burnt flavor
Restaurant has potential just needs more organization"

"We had a great evening . The food and service was wonderful. However, even though the live music was good, it was so loud at times that it made conversation difficult. In such a small area, the sound system was too powerful. I did notice that staff asked for the volume to be lowered, so they were trying to correct the situation. Overall it was a great night and I would go back."

"Very, very high quality food clearly prepared by a chef that has a love affair with the food experience. I had the Oyster Chowder and it was perfection. Rivals any 5 star downtown restaurant. I also had the Albacore Tuna sandwich - which was a beautifully seared tuna steak with bacon and other amazing accompaniments. This was followed by the lemon tarte for dessert - superb. This place is a must try."

"There are not many new restaurants opening in our area so we were excited at the prospect of a new dining experience. The Fat Cow And Oyster Bar is a pleasing change from other restaurants in Langley. They use many local farmers as suppliers to their restaurant and everything is fresh and delicious. Our favourites include the "Shuckers Dozen" - sixteen oysters with fresh horse radish shavings and home made sauces. If you order the mussels in white wine thyme sauce, make sure you sop up all that delectable sauce with the mouthwatering home made bread that accompanies it! The duck is excellent, as well as the trout and ahi tuna. The steaks are also tasty.Try it - Fat Cow will be you new favorite!!"
