Lake Street Kitchen + Bar serves an eclectic menu that is farm-to-table, seasonal, fresh, and homemade every day of the week offering lunch/brunch, dinner, and late night dining. The menu offerings come from a melting pot of influences--like the diversity of the restaurant's Oak Park community--and range from American comfort food to Mediterranean, Cajun to Italian, Basque to Spanish. The menu changes with the seasons to offer food at its peak flavor.
Chef Jason Kurosaki leads the kitchen. During his impressive culinary career, Chef Jason has worked for three James Beard award-winning chefs and one best restaurateur nominee.
The seasonal food menu is accompanied by a unique line up of beer, wine and cocktails. The beer offerings include local and craft beers on tap and many more in bottles and some cool retro cans. The wine list offers a variety by the glass and bottle and includes wines from several organic and biodynamic vineyards.
"We made a reservation last minute, and although there was not space when we arrived, we were welcomed and enjoyed a drink while we waited for a table. We shared everything we ordered, and our server did a great job of phasing the food. We didn't feel rushed at all but didn't wait long for anything either."

"Loved the food ant the atmosphere! A 'foodie' twist on comfort food :) caught up with a high school friend I hadn't seen in 20 years - we sat and talked for hours and never felt rushed."

"Me and my wife dined here and were not excited! The best thing about our trip was the flat bread. However the rack of lamb was not seasoned good and the cuts were awful. My beer was room temperature at best!! The waiter did not care telling me "we'll you can't taste the flavor if its too cold" Really? That's the best you can say? Last time I checked men enjoy Ice cold beer. Save your money and time."

"This was our first visit to Lake Street Kitchen and Bar, but certainly not our last! We both enjoyed our perfectly prepared seafood dishes--grilled baby octopus, and sea scallops. The sea scallops, served with fresh peas and pea sprouts, as well as pureed sun choke, was exceptional: I ate everything on my plate. The octopus, often found overcooked in restaurants, was beautifully prepared and seasoned. The whole evening was delicious!"

"A great neighborhood standby - we always come here with guests. The menu isn't that exciting, but the food is continuously good quality and prepared well. And the chocolate hazelnut torte is divine!"
