"After reading the reviews, we had high hopes for this restaurant. The best thing about this restaurant was the view. There were only three tables being used while we were there, and the waitress couldn't even remember to bring us our soup. Our entrees of shrimp and grits and mountain trout were average at best. We thought we were going to have a little more of an upscale dining experience but have actually had better meals at a chain restaurant. We definitely don't feel we got value for money, but the restaurant redeemed itself a bit by giving us a 10% discount since they forgot our soup. Regardless, it did not make up for the pedestrian food."

"We visited as soon as they opened, so we were actually the first people to sit. There was only one other table by the time we left, so I can't speak much to the vibrancy of the place when it gets busy. But our experience was perfect. Don't let the location (inside a convention center) fool you; this place is great. First thing you notice is the amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. Floor to ceiling windows show the vast expansive view. The service was exceptional. We had the fresh catch and the shrimp and grits for dinner, which was delicious. But the hush puppies with pimento fon du was AMAZING! Great place for a special occasion or romantic dinner."

"Not great but ok. The dining room was empty yet my husband and I felt rushed. The waiter brought our appetizers and salads out together and seemed annoyed when we asked for a few minutes before the entree. We had the lumberjack fish special which was a little dry but tasty considering, and the shrimp and grits which I thought would be much different. Being from the north and reading the reviews of where to have the best southern classic I have to say I was disappointed. The shrimp were small and really had no taste the grits were grits without the ham they would of been tasteless. perhaps I just expected more. The dining room has a great view and we did enjoy the quiet."

"Low Country goes gourmet and gets high praise from me. Gorgeous decor, friendly service and delicious food made for a fantastic meal. I will go back every time I'm in Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend the hush puppie appetizer. I also order the catch of the day...red snapper cooked to perfection."

"A great concept and menu, but poor execution. The service was great. Any meat that was ordered came put above temp which was disappointing. Also, hush puppies were over cooked.

"We searched this out on Open Table, OMG was one of the best meals we had eating out in a long time. We had the grouper and it was certainly picked fresh that morning as promised. The bread was awesome, Waiter was awesome, hidden gem for sure and already booked to go back next week. Deserts all home made (peach cobbler) - hats off to the chef, she will end up owning her own famous restaurant soon! Fresh homemade food is SOOOOO hard to find! We found it !"

"Reataurant fairly new. Oustanding Ahi Tuna appetizer. Good steak, but need to learn "Pittsburg" style cooking. Ice cream dessert tasted like ice milk not ice cream. Would not advise. Decent wine list. Very good service"

"Found this surprise last summer using Opentable. Hard to find as it is practically hidden at the back of the Embassy Suites. Don't let the location fool you. As soon as you turn the corner, you feel like you've been transported to a big city intimate restaurant. Farm to fork concept with locally sourced ingredients. Specialty drinks are over the top, think Elderflower Gimlet, Bourbon with smoky maple syrup , unbelievable. Charleston Flatbread with pimento cheese. Crab cakes with pickled shrimp. Delicate brioche raisin bread with butter made in house. Molasses like pecan pie with chocolate sweet tea ice cream. Southern favorites raised to new levels of gourmet. The view of the ocean is spectacular. Pricey but don't miss!"

"Vintage Twelve is a newer restaurant in the Embassy Suites hotel at Kingston Plantation. While we are owners at Kingston and are on property about twice a year, we had not visited it because we had an impression that it would be too expensive. We were provided with ta "two-for-one" offer and decided to give it a try. We found that our impressions were wrong. The food is well-prepared, with a low country flair, and reasonably priced. The wines are above average (as are the prices). The view of the Atlantic is unbeatable and the service was top notch. We will be returning on a future visit!"

"Overall, I was impressed with the restaurant. The only drawback was that two of the menu items were not available, and neither were several of the local microbrews that the restaurant has listed on their website and on the menus. Now, I understand that restaurants may run out of an item from time to time, but I was told by a hotel employee later during my visit that some of the beers hadn't been available for months. All it takes is a little time to update a menu. Other than that - the food was excellent. The chef does a great job of keeping things local and fresh! The view of the ocean was amazing, and the service was exceptional. Great dine!"

"We decided to try Vintage 12 after seeing a coupon in our local newspaper and weren't disappointed. We arrived at 6pm to enjoy the ocean view and were the only diners for most of our meal, which wasn't surprising since it is off season here. The decor is modern and elegant and the view is beautiful. Our server was professional and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. He brought us wonderful fresh-baked raisin bread, still warm from the oven. We enjoyed the Charleston flatbread appetizer, which was delicious. Our only disappointment was the Crispy Oyster Salad - bland oysters on wilted lettuce. For entrees we had the lamb and shrimp and grits - both highly recommended. The blondie dessert and coffee were lovely."
