Since its opening in March 2011 Harvest has been wowing customers with its creative New American Fare and its attentive, friendly service. Harvest is a chef driven restaurant that focuses on farm to table cooking. At Harvest we strive to provide the freshest and most creative product for our guests. We try to maintain a commitment to protect the environment by sourcing as many sustainable and local products as possible. For its when we take care of the land and sea, that we reap its "Harvest".

"We had another fabulous dinner at Harvest. The oysters are always great. By far the best ribeye in town. The crab crusted halibut with black rice, rapini, chives and yellow cuury broth was the best fish we've ever tasted. The cherry and white chocolate bread pudding rocks. Our server, Robert, was spot on. Very friendly. We will be back."

"Everything was very good. Didn't know a lot of the fancy words for food on menu. But the ceasar salad and ribeye steak were very delicious. A little pricey for me and what I would normally spend on a diner. Otherwise everything was really great but there were only four other tables filled while we were there so hopefully the service would be just as great on a busy packed night. And we heard of this place from 3-4 other friends who ate there and loved it. And during summer maybe some kind of ice cream dessert."

"Read several reviews about Harvest before booking a reservation for my Mother's Day dinner. There was some mention of the saltines of the food but I booked anyways. Service was fair and the food was just not worth the cost. IT WAS WAY TOO SALTY!!! All the main dishes that we ordered were too salty. For a restaurant that prides itself on using local fresh ingredients, they need to back off on the salty sauces and preparations. And the food with all that salt was not worth the cost either."

"We met another couple there for dinner. Salads and deserts were excellent, fresh, and flavorful. Our waitress was very attentive and brought everything out split without us asking. I had the Ahi tuna from the menu while the other 3 had a halibut special. However, I was able to eat half of my wife's halibut special. Glad I ate the Ahi first because the Halibut was one of the most flavorful dishes I have ever had. Great texture, flavor, spices, etc. We had been there about a year earlier and had had a wonderful time as well. We will be back much sooner."

"Proof that East Siders don't have to head for Tremomt or downtown for great dining out! Harvest Kitchen has a unique, weekly varying menu that features fresh, healthy choices (except for the bone marrow appetizer and duck fat fries). Two favorites are the Rocket salad and salmon with sweet potato gnocchi."

"The feeling when we walked in the door from the employees and owner was that of stress. Our waiter lied to me when I asked him about an entree. Acting as if he had eaten it and then did not know how it was prepared. He was very rude and seemed agitated. Food was mediocre at best. The waiter never brought us bread. I did love the kale salad and the trout was ok. Ribs were terrible and tough. Special halibut was not good. Crab on top made it fishy and it was not good quality halibut. All and all it was too bad. It is a pretty place and the menu seemed good but not a great experience. It was not even that busy so you would think it would be easy to get it right. Also... Spent a lot of money."

"My wife and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary by visiting Harvest recently. We were a bit dissapointed when our reservation was for 7:15 but we weren't seated until 8:00. The meal was fantastic, as expected. Other than the wait and a fairly noisy atmosphere, very enjoyable."

"A very enjoyable evening...we asked the waiter, Chris, to repeat the "specials" several times so we would not miss one detail of the extraordinary menu. We all loved every bite. The portions were generous, the drinks were stiff, the wine selection beautiful, service outstanding. The only small complaint is that the table for 4 was too small for 4 and too close to the next table. A great discovery in Solon! We'll be back soon!"

"This was our first visit to Harvest. What a wonderful restaurant tucked away in Solon. We started with the shrimp and grits and the chorizo and halloumi cheese. Both were outstanding. For entrees we had the roasted wild sockeye salmon and the grilled heritage pork chop. They were two of the best dishes we've ever tasted. What a great use of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Spring peas and fava beans! Our server, Robert was a joy.

"Just not a good value for money...I suppose I would have rated this place better if I didn't feel they overcharged for just about everything. The fare was not that notable and the glass storefront setting was not that nice (we were seated right in the floor to ceiling window). "I convinced my husband to try Harvest on the basis of the reviews. We were very disappointed in the meal as a whole. As a foodie, I appreciated the idea of going for full and rich flavors but so many together were overwhelming. An example was the Pork tenderloin special. They brined the tenderloin, which made it tender but very salty. It was then served with a baked potato with an intense Blue cheese and bacon. These were also very salty flavors. The only nuanced item was the Brussel Sprouts. I enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits but it was spicy which did not fit the menu description. We did enjoy our appetizer of chorizo and Halloumi cheese. The sausage was house made and very good. Also, as an IPA lover, the beers on tap were all good"

"What a pleasant surprise! We don't get to Solon often but we wanted to catch a movie and Solon theater was the only one showing it. Went on OpenTable to find someplace to eat and discovered Harvest. We were very impressed! The food was very good indeed - among us we had a pasta dish, chicken, burger & a combo of sides and salad and we all pronounced it either good or excellent. The piece to la resistance (if there are accents on this computer, I can't find them) was the dessert platter provided by the chef to help celebrate my husbands birthday. I had put in a note on the open table website asking for "a scoop of ice cream with a candle" and they brought out a combo platter that was amazing - the best bread pudding I've ever tasted!"

"Don't miss out on this FANTASTIC hideaway. The food was SPOT ON! As an Appetizer we had Hot Peppers, stuffed with sausage, just the right heat! My wife had the Ribs special (the last order) and was the envy of the tables around us, I had the Blackened Walleye with Cheesie Grits, Both KNOCK-OUT Entrees. "What a breath of fresh air on the East Side! It is about time the Solon area had a independent, eclectic restaurant. The local food sourcing description at the top of the menu alerts the diner form the get-go that they are in for a real treat - that the chef is thoughtful about his selections and prepares the ingredients to highlight their freshness and quality."

"I have been to Harvest several times and enjoyed a fine food with professional service. This night was an exception...I hope. Every table was occupied and our waitress appeared overwhelmed. It took at least 10 minutes after we were seated for her to solicit a drink order. We ordered 3 beers off the menu...they were out of all. There is a beverage store next door...go buy a case! Anyway the service was spotty throughout."

"We very much enjoyed this restaurant. The food was excellent and our server was attentive and fairly knowledgeable about the offerings. Two areas for improvement we would suggest however. First, we wee seated at the table in the front corner which was nice and we were able to talk easily, however the lighting was poor and it was difficult to see the menus because of shadows. Second, we ordered a cheese board and opted to have the chef select the offerings. When a server brought it to our table (not our usual server)she was unable to identify two of the selections. One of the reasons we order cheese boards is to try new items that we might not have had in the past, but without knowing what was included we couldn't compare the various cheeses"

"We enjoyed the experience, although the pacing of the meal was a bit slow. The service was informed and attentive with our waitstaff but the other servers/bussers tended not to notice obvious needs of the table - even to the point of purposefully ignoring us. We sat on the patio, which was nice, but our table was right against the fence and next to the street, which was very loud at times. The food was, in general, good to very good with the entrees being the stars of the show. The wine list was very nice and had some pleasant surprises. One off note, when we went to cancel a reservation recently due to really poor weather and driving conditions the person answering the phone was quite rude/unpleasant. At least we had the courtesy to call!"

"food was so-so this time, service was terrible. had the same guy as last time. hes just rude for some reason. when i sent my drink back because it tasted terrible, he came back and said that it is only 3 ingredients and that i need to order something else... umm... why? i just wanted it re-made."

"The perogies we had for an appetizer were great, the rest of the food was good, but not as good. The acoustics in the back part of the restaurant at the high boy tables weren't great, so it was hard for two of the people to hear our water. Overall, it was a good experience and worth giving a second try."

"We had to ask for a fork, we had to ask for bread, we had to ask for a bag. When our bill was brought to us we were not told a 15% gratuity had been added (as if my husband and I weren't tippers) not knowing this we tipper 19% (as it is our custom to tip 18 to 25% if the service is decent). We have dined in Europe, Africa, Britain and in the Islands and we have never experienced such an unethical practice from a restaurant. We know it is the practice of hotels to authorize over the cost of our stay, but a eating establishment...it has never happened. Needless to stay we won't be holding any of our gatherings there. From now on we will only tip according to the service we recieve, and not just because we can afford to be a blessing."

"We really enjoyed the food as this was our first time. Although the row of tables along the wall, which is where we were seated is very impersonal. During dinner we had to endure the profanity coming from the mouth of the guy next to us. To the point that I asked him to please stop!!!! Thus making the evening awkward for everyone. I do not think I would sit in that area again."

"Hidden in a former Arabica Coffee Shop beside a liquor store on a side street in Solon, one really has to try to find Harvest Kitchen. But once there, you'll remember your way back. Consistently outstanding food, attentive service and a noise level that at least lets you carry on a real conversation. Try any pasta, seafood or something with the "secret" red curry sauce, if it's on the menu."
