Dabo be Shai is celebrated Country-wide by all Ethiopian people, regardless of their class/status and religion. Our logo “Dabo” is a simple bread which serves as a nutritional basis in the Ethiopian diet. As with most things in life, the simplest are the best. We hope to keep that true with the food we prepare for you here at LacoMelza. Dishes prepare to bring out the natural simple goodness, not overpowdered with spices.

"OKay so I was lured in by the 1000 open tables points and sometimes you take a hit. The food was overally spiced and no one could answer our questions."

"Just like the Washington Post says, this one has the best Ethiopian food we've ever tried. The service was fantastic, including adding dessert and coffee for free on Mother's Day. We will definitely come back!"

"The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and food was tasty. I was a little disappointed that they served the food in western dinnerware rather than in traditional Ethiopian fashion. The food too, while good was not anything out of the ordinary. The tofu tibs were awesome. Overall a good experience"
